Why Is Napolitano Warning US?

Let’s see if I’ve got this right…

United States Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, 2nd left, walks past delegates as she arrives at a conference with Emarati female students at the Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. (AP Photo/Kamran Jebreili)A Muslim in the Army kills 13 and wounds 29 of his fort associates, and our Homeland Security secretary has the nerve to warn us?

The U.S. Homeland Security secretary says she is working to prevent a possible wave of anti-Muslim sentiment after the shootings at Fort Hood in Texas.

Janet Napolitano says her agency is working with groups across the United States to try to deflect any backlash against American Muslims following Thursday’s rampage by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Maybe she should be spending more time looking for more potential homegrown terrorists, instead of looking for a bashlash amongst American citizens who haven’t done anything except attract calls of racism because we choose to be cautious of people who publicly call for our death.

And as far as trying to “deflect any backlash against American Muslims”, maybe Napolitano (and the left) should stop accepting their justifications and excuses when it comes to Muslims who kill.

The ‘funny’ thing about the things being said against the Tea Party movement and its followers is that what they accuse them of IS what they actually DID, only very focused and well-funded.

For Napolitano, Obama, Axlerod or any of the rest to claim that what the conservatives are doing is wrong, bad, and dangerous is like them saying Hey Stop STEALING OUR IDEAS (of course, in the other direction).

Of course, as we all know, that IS the liberal mindset. We can do this but you can’t. They are really hateful people.

When will conservative, Constitutional-following American patriots become a protected group?

What nationality is Napolitano? Italian? I say we have some anti-Italian backlash, right now. Nah, I love Italians, let’s just backlash Janet.

Typical Obama advisor. No experience and not a clue about reality.

This all part of the conservatives are bad, liberals are good routine. It is just more justification for the administration to continue stripping our freedoms from us.

The liberals are using this tactic to diminish any counter argument to their agenda.

Kingshound, the only “backlash” was a bit of profiling once in a while, like the young men from Michigan who were buying up track-phones out-of-state to sell for a profit in the Detroit area. It didn’t take HS long to figure out they weren’t bad guys looking for disposable phones for a sleeper cell or bombs – just out to make a buck. The young men themselves didn’t make a fuss or sue.

Personally, I’m a bit sick of people talking “backlash” as if Americans are in the habit of turning into rioting mobs that set innocent people’s places of worship on fire and kill schoolchildren and their teachers. That seems to be par for the course in Asia, against Christians.

I recall the same. That’s weird how Napolitano’s memory does not correlate with the reality you and I witnessed. Very weird.

My memory may be spotty, but has there ever been an “American backlash” against Muslims in the U.S. ? I don’t recall a single one. Even after 9/11, Muslims were not hunted down or terrorized in this country.

This is my homeland. The Dept of Homeland Security is supposed to be securing my safety within my homeland, not threatening me! Perhaps if they would do their job some of these tragedies could be prevented.

Other than the murder of the “doctor” that committed premeditated murders of human beings inside and outside the womb, every other “horrific outburst of violence (Obama)” can be attributed to left-wing lunatics, Muslim fanatics, and run-of-the-mill criminals. All insane and all pose a threat to law-abiding citizens; but, none pose as great a threat as those who commit acts of high crimes and treason against America and American citizens.

DHS (Department of Homeland Security), an oxymoron if there ever was one.

Where is a good Constitutional lawyer when you need one.

you think the conservative “Tea Party” movement is daunting, take a look at a new report issued by the Department of Homeland Security that says right-wing extremism is on the rise throughout the country.

In the report (a full copy of which is below), officials warn that right-wing extremists could use the bad state of the U.S. economy and the election of the country’s first black president to recruit new members to their cause.

In the intelligence assessment issued to law enforcement last week, Homeland Security officials said there was no specific information about an attack from right-wing extremists in the works.

The agency warns that an extended economic downturn with real estate foreclosures, unemployment and an inability to obtain credit could foster an environment for extremists to recruit new members who may not have been supportive of these causes in the past.

In November, law enforcement officials were seeing more threats and unusual interest against then- President-elect Barack Obama than ever before.
