This is why the absence of a proper media vetting of Barack Obama was so important.

While Obama may not come right out and repeat the sentiments of the people he looked up to, it’s apparent an appointee like Eric Holder is acting on Derrick Bell’s 2002 view on “permanent racism” and it hasn’t been good for the country.

I only got a few statements in and I had the urge to start Fisking the whole thing, but I restrained myself.  What I would REALLY like to see is a study of blacks and their beliefs in things like Critical Race Theory and Liberation Theology and their (lack of) success in life.  Clearly men like Thomas Sowell and Herman Cain don’t believe this crap, and they do very well, but consult the men in prison and they’ll blame everything on The Racist System FORCING them to be what they are.

It begins with trust.  Clearly you cannot trust someone like Bell.  Despite what could be their well-founded (though selective) prejudices, they have voluntarily chosen to adhere to American principles.  That makes all of the difference.  This is not about race, but about philosophy (e.g. faith) and the ideology through which it is realized.  Sowell, Cain, and others are American.

The man has a delusional disorder.  His theory has “Storytelling/counterstorytelling and “naming one’s own reality”–using narrative to illuminate and explore experiences of racial oppression.”  The man and his theory have no connection with reality, only the stories that exist in his mind.  A  theory is tested or proved by using reality.    Otherwise, your system is as valid as Son of Sam’s, the Una-bomber  or any garden variety nut or street corner prophet with a delusional disorder.   .Bell meets all the features of delusional disorder: The following features are found:    It is a primary disorder.
It is a stable disorder characterized by the presence of delusions to which the patient clings with extraordinary tenacity.
The illness is chronic and frequently lifelong.
The delusions are logically constructed and internally consistent.
The delusions do not interfere with general logical reasoning (although within the delusional system the logic is perverted) and there is usually no general disturbance of behavior. If disturbed behavior does occur, it is directly related to the delusional beliefs.
The individual experiences a heightened sense of self-reference. Events which, to others, are nonsignificant are of enormous significance to him or her, and the atmosphere surrounding the delusions is highly charged.

Another piece of the puzzle falls into place. They cannot help but reveal their true nature.

I dare say that we will completely characterize these people’s behavior long before our Earth system. We should probably review the credentials of psychologists that permit this behavior to persist and even make efforts to normalize it. They may be suffering from the same delusions. Likely the most common delusion of grandeur or narcissism. Never underestimate the venality of the human ego unconstrained.

Ironically, it is America, the most integrated nation and society on Earth, that proves his “Critical Race Theory” is fundamentally flawed. I wonder if people understand why it is not only flawed but fundamentally so. In any case, it is not in anyone’s best interest to continue a Tutsi slaughter Hutu slaughter Tutsi cycle, or the periodic submission to alphas (or mortal gods) who come bearing fulfillment for dreams of instant gratification witnessed throughout human history and still prevalent throughout the world today.

Americans have a sense of entitlement based on individual dignity. This is what markedly distinguishes between Americans and most nations and people in this world. What Bell fails to recognize is that slavery and discrimination against Blacks was neither unique nor exclusive, not even in America. It was also conducted by a minority, including Whites, Blacks, Indians, etc., and it was preceded by a conspiracy with Muslims, Arabs, black Africans, etc. Slavery and the discrimination which followed emancipation was not strictly about race but about utility and circumstance. Furthermore, as it was a minority enterprise, it would be disingenuous at best to include everyone in that selective perspective of history and reality. The human, civil, and women’s rights movements were temporal redress for partial and selective cyclical historical grievances. Bell has a well-founded prejudice, but his tale is only a marginal description of events as they happened, and the people they embraced. It is counterproductive to marginalize history and to hold the son accountable for the sins of the father.

When he recognizes that non-White Americans were “permitted” to accumulate wealth and power, and to elevate their stature, then he may understand that the distinguishing characteristic is not principally the skin color. He has a very cynical and narrow perspective of reality. It only serves to denigrate the dignity of his fellow man and his own.

As for permanent racism, it isn’t happening. Despite the best efforts of left-wing ideologues to manufacture conflict and stoke divisions, people are forming relationships through voluntary association.

That said, respect your dignity and the dignity of others. Then respect God or nature’s order and procreate.

“Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it”

If you think racism is permanent then it is permanent for you and if racism is permanent it must be because of white discrimination. This is a mobius logic strip where there’s no possible escape.

His statements may be correct for Chicago. The poor guy should have gotten out of town more.

The very fact that he is here in a public forum spouting this nonsense belies the “racism” charge.  This guy’s logic is pretty pathetic.  But then, racebaiters don’t have a logical leg to stand on…

Permanent my @$$.  The only thing permanent is stupidity and the inability to actually think.
