Quote Of The Day

Hasn’t the left been misquoting Mitch McConnell for years, saying he wanted Barack Obama to be a “one-term president”, thus would obstruct his agenda? While he did say, “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president”, he also added, “I don’t want the president to fail; I want him to change.”

Something tells me the left won’t be whining much about this…

Mitt Romney’s fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his ‘severely conservative’ agenda is laughable.
Sen. Harry Reid, statement

This is what we football fans call “bulletin board material” and we’ll see how much more this energizes the “severely conservative” right.

Severely is a gross exaggeration. Conservatives adhere to a derivative of classical liberalism tempered by Judeo-Christian principles. The American Conservative is by no means a fanatic. Our philosophy dictates that we, on principle, reject progressive involuntary exploitation and general liberty constraints. By any measure, conservatives are moderates in the political spectrum.

Is Reid perhaps projecting his own hedonistic evolution of liberalism and totalitarian corruption of progressivism? He’s right. They are extreme interpretations of the natural order and incompatible with American conservative philosophy. Most Americans will still not accept normalization of dysfunctional behaviors nor submission with benefits.

Poor Harry is desperate for his base to come out and, at least, save him, when Barack loses..   He imagines himself to be the Great White Democrat Hope if the Black Democrat Hope fails.
