A classic example of trying to put a good face on a bad situation.

I think it has worked out best for everyone. We did not get a lot of promotion. We did not get a lot of marketing. We weren’t fully staffed. That’s just what happened. I don’t look at things as, ‘Was I disappointed to have a show that didn’t have a lot of support?’ We did a really good job.

From her own description, it doesn’t sound like CNN invested much in her or her show and took a small chance to see if Soledad had any game. Then again it would also appear they knew in advance she didn’t and was cheap filler until they got whom they really wanted.
