CNN’s Latest Vindication In Dumping Soledad O’Brien

CNN’s Soledad O’Brien fails in attempted attack on Roger Ailes

Soledad O’Brien: Okay, so the ‘pretty laid back’ to ‘lazy’ is a little bit of a leap to me.
John Berman: Barack Obama used the word ‘lazy’.
O’Brien: Oh, interesting. I didn’t know that.
Will Cain: He did. Barack Obama said he feels a laziness in himself that he attributes to his laid back upbringing in Hawaii.
O’Brien: Hmm. Interesting.

It’s clear why Soledad O’Brien may not even be bad enough for MSNBC.

For the first time in the last five years, I think he doesn’t suffer a complete dissociation from reality. Did he really acknowledge his privileged youth?

I want to visit Hawaii. Lie on the sandy beach, basking in the warmth of the sun, listening to the ocean’s speech.

Incidentally, his statement acknowledges the observation that dissociation of risk causes corruption or “laziness.” There is a reason why most of the world’s population is located in the equatorial region. There is a reason why the most productive societies are located outside of that region. As they say: “necessity is the mother of invention.” It also forces us to confront and mitigate the harshness of reality sooner than later.

I think it’ll be interesting if anybody ever manages to sell Soledad a brain…

She’d get conned. She’d buy a “moron” brain and think she’d gotten a deal. Since she presents as fluctuating between “idiot” and “imbecile” while she interviews, perhaps (in this isolated case) she’d be correct. One half of a “broken clock”, you know.
