The ‘Career’ Federal Government G$A Employee Promotion Program

We received an email (tailored to “veterans”) announcing job openings within the federal government’s General Services Administration, and noticed a constant.

GSA has been repeatedly named as one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ in the Federal Government. LEARN MORE about why you should choose GSA.

It turns out the majority of good-paying jobs are ONLY available to those currently in the federal government (and their friends and family, wink-wink) and based on our interaction with employees in DC and Northern Virginia, most of those occupying the jobs are entrenched Democrats and fall into that weather-related “non-essential employee” category with good reason.

So, why are we making such a big deal about this?

BTW – The above pic came from FederalHandbooks.com. Check out the demographic they appear to prefer….

First of all, we’ve already gone over why USAjobs is a joke and liberals within really could give a shit about those who use those unnecessary armaments: veterans.

We were told (by an anonymous source) that the only way to get incompetent federal employees out of a department, because it’s almost impossible to get one fired, is to promote that person so he or she can be transferred out.

We were also told that Republicans have to keep their political sentiments to themselves in the workplace because liberal Democrats in federal offices are loudmouthed, vindictive bullies and even though it’s supposedly impossible to fire a federal employee, Democrats would definitely make a quantum effort to make a Republican’s life quite miserable on the way out.

But “political discrimination” is a topic for another day.

UPDATE

Federal employees and their unions are up-in-arms because their salaries are being frozen.

In a letter to congressional leaders, Mr. Trump said the government would forgo an automatic 2.1 percent pay increase for federal workers scheduled for Jan. 1 and specified that there would be no across-the-board increase for 2019. The letter did not estimate the overall savings from canceling the raises, though it said a related move canceling raises that are based on the workers’ location would save $25 billion.

Mr. Trump’s use of emergency authority to weigh in on pay increases for federal workers is a common occurrence. The president did so last year to scale back a raise, and President Barack Obama took action the year before to rein-in location-based adjustments.
New York Times, 8/30/18

At the look of things, they get paid pretty well and it’s not the taxpayers’ responsibility to make sure federal employees can maintain a standard of living most Americans would love to enjoy.
