We’ve been hearing, since the announcement of former FBI Director Robert Mueller’s appointment as “special counsel” to investigate the whole Trump-colluded-with-Russia-to-steal-the-election-from-Hillary thing, how fair and nonpartisan and level-headed he is.
Robert Mueller, who has been appointed to handle the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, took the reins as FBI director a week before the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. That day would influence his entire 12-year run leading the agency.
Mueller oversaw arguably the most significant changes the century-old FBI had ever gone through, and he received praise from lawmakers in both parties on Wednesday for his commitment to justice.

“Praise” for now.
We all remember who unanimous the “praise” was for former FBI Director James Comey from Democrats and media alike when we concluded Hillary Clinton did a lot of bad things, but since she didn’t mean to do it, wasn’t going to be held as accountable as anyone else doing the exact same thing would have been.
We also remember how the same Democrats and media unloaded on Comey when we announced there were classified documents on Anthony Weiner’s laptop, thus blaming him for Hillary’s presidential election loss to Donald Trump.
The media is sending a lot of mixed signals, not even 24 hours since the Mueller announcement.

The media, thus the Democrats, don’t yet know if they should be praising Mueller or getting ready to destroy his life, but we all know they have a dossier or two on the ready. It all depends on what he finds.
If Robert Mueller finds concrete evidence of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign; evidence that can be proven swung the presidency away from Hillary, his investigation will be hailed as fair, nonpartisan, and verification for what the Democrat left has been saying since November 9, 2016. All that will be left is the clarion call for Dems to take the House in 2018 so impeachment proceedings can be immediately initiated.
Exclusive: Trump campaign had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russians: sources
The people who described the contacts to Reuters said they had seen no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia in the communications reviewed so far. But the disclosure could increase the pressure on Trump and his aides to provide the FBI and Congress with a full account of interactions with Russian officials and others with links to the Kremlin during and immediately after the 2016 election.
— Reuters, 5/18/17, paragraph 6
If Robert Mueller can’t find any concrete evidence of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign, we’ll be told how much taxpayer money was wasted in a clear partisan, continued cover-up and Mueller will under a very painful media colonoscopy. His name, good at present, will be dragged through the mud by the very so-called journalists, “officials”, “former officials”, “sources”, etc. who’ll have accumulating anonymous dirt thrown on him to sully any verdict officially clearing Trump.
Maybe Mueller is at that couldn’t-give-a-shit point in his life as he clearly must know what he’s walking into.
The media will lead a massive Democrat assault if he also finds bad things the Hillary campaign, the Democrat National Committee, and even the Obama administration may have done in the process. Then it will get really ugly.
As we believe there’s not much to the Trump-Russia-collusion accusation, we’re offering our condolences to Mr. Mueller and his family. He may just end up being the latest reason why the well-meaning will want nothing to do with serving our country on the government level.
The good people get destroyed while the bad, more times than not, get away with it.
