As in most things in life, history has a tendency to repeat itself when those who made initial mistakes were allowed to continue those same mistakes unchecked.
A Democratic group headed by former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will go to court over a decision by the Commerce Department to include a question about citizenship on the 2020 census. Holder said Tuesday that the group, the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, would fight the Trump administration’s decision, arguing that including a citizenship question would drastically lower the response rate on the 2020 census and lead to an inaccurate count.

Like the Democrats of old who didn’t consider slaves human beings until it was time to allow them to be counted as human beings so more Democrats could be elected, Holder wants illegal aliens to be counted in the census for exactly what the census was created to do according to the Constitution: create more congressional representation… for Democrats.
Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative….
— United States Constitution, Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3
One representative for every 30,000 “persons”. While it wasn’t stated with the precise language, it was probably assumed that the framers were talking about citizens of the United States.
It’s rather clear that Holder and other Democrats want illegal aliens to participate in the next census because they would boost the number of persons in an infected district, thus triggering the requirement for new congressional representation that would probably end up being a Democrat. More Democrats in Congress is Holder’s ultimate goal. Conversely, an accurate headcount that excludes illegal aliens could end up costing Democrats House seats.
In other words, the truth hurts.
While Holder claims to care about an “accurate count”, such a number inflated by illegal aliens would also be used to justify funneling direct and indirect taxpayer dollars to people who broke our immigration laws as well as congressional representation and the political staffing infrastructure mandated. Holder is being truthful as this is purely motivated by politics in favor of lawbreakers and Democrat politicians who exploit them.
And asking the question of citizenship, despite what you’re hearing, is not exclusive to the Trump administration. It was also asked in 2000 in a census question authorized by the Clinton administration….
But we’re sure Eric Holder has an answer for this.
