The theory views this tendency as a defense mechanism whereby unenviable or unpleasant traits, impulses or ideas are attributed to another. In this way, the projector is able to avoid the unpleasantness in themselves. However, the theory goes on to explain that in severe cases of projection, the condition of projection may degenerate into paranoid delusions to the point that the projector believes others are responsible for the projector’s problems and are secretly plotting against them. President Barack Obama’s attorney general Janet Napolitano designated veterans as potential “terrorist” threat, simply because they were convenient.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Wednesday that she was briefed before the release of a controversial intelligence assessment and that she stands by the report, which lists returning veterans among terrorist risks to the U.S. The department’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) issued April 7 the nine-page document titled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.”

“Rightwing extremism,” the report said in a footnote on Page 2, goes beyond religious and racial hate groups and extends to “those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration,” said the report, which also listed gun owners and veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars as potential risks.

While the report attributes those traits to the “rightwing”, doesn’t “those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely” sound a lot like today’s Antifa thugs?

Now, aside from Major Hassan at Fort Hood, can you name some recent so-called massacres committed by extremist veterans? Not too many, but because of media bias-by-omission, some of the most dangerous domestic terrorists in the United States were liberals and let off the hook because they haven’t injured anyone… yet.

Liberal terrorists seem to be routinely let off the hook, their motivations ignored or muddied, while the finger of suspicion is pointed to the right where permits for protests are alway almost obtained, they create zero property damage and if there is violence, it’s because the left brought it with them.

But as long as it’s “mostly peaceful”….
