<p>It turns out the majority of good-paying jobs are ONLY available to those currently in the federal government <em>(and their friends and family, wink-wink)</em> and based on our interaction with employees in DC and Northern Virginia, most of those occupying the jobs are entrenched Democrats and fall into that weather-related “non-essential employee” category with good reason.</p>
