We’ve seen and heard arguments from those who interpret the First Amendment to suit their immediate desires but I don’t look between the lines as there’s never anything there.

The First Amendment allows for freedom of speech. I’ve always disagreed with the conditions some readily quote like shouting fire in a crowded theater. You can do it. You just have to be ready to accept the consequences, which is obviously problematic to those who want limited responsibility for those actions.

Whether it be on a street, highway, or college campus, a growing segment of our population believes they not only have the right to say what they want and because of where they’ve strategically decided to say it, but they also have the right to be heard.

I don’t see that right in any of our Constitutional amendments.

When the Tea Party held their many events across the United States, they first applied for and obtained a permit. They held their event in a static place so people had the choice to attend and hear speakers exercising their First Amendment right of speech. Police were in attendance due to the size of the gatherings, and almost all were relaxed as those in attendance were appreciative of them and their service. Permits for Tea Party events appear to have been issued with relative ease as the reputation was the areas used were normally left cleaner than when the group first arrived. Attendees did not routinely vandalize or destroy surrounding public, private property and businesses.

Speakers at Tea Party events enjoyed the right to speak and did not force anyone to hear their words.

For the last decade or so, left wing groups seldom acquire permits for their “events”, and I use that term loosely.

They exploit any opportunity to take to the streets, disrupt the free flow of traffic on our highways because it’s loosely illegal.

The better to secure and perpetuate mutual friendship and intercourse among the people of the different States in this Union, the free inhabitants … of each State shall free ingress and regress to and from any other State.

The Founders thought our right to freedom of movement so obvious, they didn’t bother adding it to the Constitution. The informal education system was better then than today’s taxpayer-funded abomination so the obvious didn’t require dumbing down. We can be detained and even arrested for walking in the middle of the road but if it’s a “protest” and it’s “free speech”, you get some leeway?

The left considers their modern mode of free speech via disruption as the “right of the people to peaceably assemble”. They obviously have no permit to block traffic and yet get in the faces of captive motorists and demand they listen to their message. Maybe that’s “mostly peaceably”.

The same now can be said as to their activities on college campuses. They take over large areas, decide who can and cannot be admitted to facilities, and force all in the area to listen to what they have to say. Their areas are routinely left in a more disheveled condition than when originally occupied, surrounding buildings and statues are vandalized and sometimes local areas experience disruptions in commerce, if not also damage to property. Let’s not leave out violence than can lead to injury and/or death.

And when it all gets ugly and fingers are pointed, we’re all told it’s a free speech issue.

It is not.

In this case, all of these protesters can call for the divestment from Israel, issue death threats, hurl racial slurs at a black congressman, and more. Those involved believe that their abhorrent words are justified and they should be able to say them. I agree as we should know what’s in their little heads.

But what really pisses them off is that our ability to ignore nullifies their speech. In this case, we can blow their words off as the sophistry of the young, uninformed and duped. If they don’t even know what they’re protesting, there’s no reason to succumb to demands. That would be dumb.

Until there’s a Constitutional Amendment forcing The People to have to hear the words of others (which would be kind of interesting to enforce), the children will have to scream until they’re hoarse.

Then again they’d go full Clockwork Orange on their opponents if they could force us to see and hear them at their worse.

I’ll preface my commentary with the obvious: All of the “mostly peaceful” protests by our “college educated” on campuses nationwide that are clearly pro-Hamas and aimed at Jewish students are wrong, illegal, and all involved should either go back to the classes their parents and taxpayers are funding or be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

But why the sudden sanctimonious outrage from the media and pundit class, billionaire donors, business leaders, and politicians? Why are the harassment and threats against Jewish students a red line that’s been crossed and now found to be totally unacceptable? It’s only because the current violence hits too close to home.

Several major donors have called a hard stop to their past donations:

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, a Columbia graduate, said he was stopping donations immediately and charged the college with failing to keep its Jewish students safe. Billionaire investor Leon Cooperman, a business school graduate, said he would stick with a stop on donations which began shortly after the October 7 Hamas massacres. Cooperman, industrialist Len Blavatnik and Kraft have donated nearly $100 million in total to Columbia, according to some estimates — money that has created multiple buildings on campus, scholarships for engineers, and a center for Jewish students.

These opportunistic hand-wringers are hardly consistent.

After Eric Garner’s death in 2014 death and Freddie Gray’s in 2015, college students eagerly joined the burgeoning #BlackLivesMatter #DefundThePolice movements. Permitless street protests started becoming a new norm where traffic was strategically snarled, and thousands of commuters were held hostage to those who believed they could demand to be heard at the inconvenience of others.

Many of those protests resulted in millions of dollars of public and private property damage, looting of businesses, and burning of buildings and homes in predominantly black neighborhoods. Still, we were all told to deal with it because protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Arrests and prosecutions were minimal, and the few charged were dismissed.

Those protests also resulted in compliant progressive local legislatures beginning to actually defund their law enforcement agencies, resulting in unsafe streets for citizens and the assassination of police officers nationwide. The negative ramifications to public safety felt since have been profound.

After President Donald Trump’s 2016 election, students from high school through college were encouraged to leave campuses and take to the streets, again without permits, and to disrupt traffic, again resulting in the expected public and private property damage. The outrage from those with influence was minimal because the protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Arrests and prosecutions were minimal, and the few charged were dismissed.

After George Floyd’s death in 2020 (and too many still don’t know that the actual cause was self-inflicted), tens of thousands of protesters, including college students, took to highways and streets for the summer, causing intentional disruptions for thousands of commuters, damaging and/or destroying hundreds of public and private buildings, attacking law enforcement, burning and looting businesses and homes, primarily in black neighborhoods. Once again, the American people were told to suck it up because the protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Arrests and prosecutions were minimal and the few charges were dismissed.

Many politicians embraced, encouraged and rewarded the tumult.

Conservatives have been met with threats and eventual violence after being invited to speak on college campuses for many years, but the outrage was minimal and we were told to suck it up because the protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Female activists have been met with threats and eventual violence after being invited to speak on college campuses against the unfair and dangerous incursion of transgender athletes into their sports. The outrage was minimal and the women were told to suck it up because the protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

It could be argued if those now expressing their outrage had stepped in and efficiently cracked down on the illegal street takeovers and protests back in 2014, the red line between common decency and anarchy would not have been crossed. In almost every case, college students contributed to the ranks of unruly protesters, participated in the mayhem, destruction and afterward returned to the safety and warmth of their dorms or homes.

Almost all of the pundits on the left and the news networks gave aid and comfort to the violent protesters by labeling them as #MostlyPeaceful despite the clear optics to the contrary.

Almost all of those who donate hefty sums to colleges and universities and are quite vocal today forced their businesses to fully embrace the #BlackLivesMatter grift, despite the internal rifts that would be caused.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Robert Kraft and others to admit their error in judgment and apologize to the many Americans who’ve been casualties of crime because the police couldn’t come when needed.

There was no legislation introduced on Capitol Hill offered to outlaw the activities of #Antifa and other anarchists whose sole mission was to exploit grievances as an excuse to commit acts of destruction; maybe because some of the protesters are relatives of those same legislators.

All of the protests, excused and/or applauded by the left, resulted in hundreds of injuries and death. Those lives didn’t matter and have been forgotten by all those now belatedly expressing horror and outrage.

And who are Ivy League college presidents and administrators now calling to quell unruly antisemitic students and outside agitators? Ah yes, the very police they had no problem smearing, defunding and/or removing from their campus safe spaces, acquiescing to activists and radicals. Funny how irony inconveniences the small college-educated mind.

The threats and violence against Jewish students on college campuses and street/highway takeovers by the pro-Hamas-indoctrinated are the direct result of not shutting down misguided and illegal student-fueled protests ten years ago. It’s shameful that it took a decade of this societal breakdown and violence before wealthy Jewish donors finally woke up to the fact that it was always going to end with attacks on the Jews.

Deloitte confirmed that she was never an employee of the company. Instead she was scheduled to complete an internship with them later this summer, which the company rescinded.

Which makes Claira Janover either mentally unstable or a pathological liar. You choose.

Jonathan Gandal, a managing director at the firm, said Janover ‘has never been an employee of our organization’. He said she was instead ‘formerly scheduled for a two-week internship later this summer.’ Gandal said the offer of an internship was withdrawn because they have a company policy forbidding threatening violence.

Janover clearly didn’t read the fine print, publicly misrepresented her status with the company, and blamed others for her faux pas when  #CancelCuture became inconvenient.

Other youngsters who work at Deloitte or are due to leaped to her defense and started tweeting using the hashtag #FireMeToo, saying Janover had been fired for defending the Black Lives Matter movement.

Deloitte may wish to revise their intern screening process.

How many people in the public eye have said really stupid things and when the backlash ensues, claim it was sarcasm, or in case, an “analogy”? Had there been no backlash, there would have been no attempt to define the meaning of the word in question, so this excuse is old and lame. Not to mention those whose careers remain un-#cancelled despite referring to conservative women with the “cunt” word.

There are always accepted exceptions.

Claira Janover is now dealing with the reality that her quest for social media relevance may have made her undesirable in the high-paying corporate world of adults. Supposedly someone has create a a GoFundMe page for her; the initial goal is $10,000 but the justification is also problematic.

According to the GoFundMe description, this is the second time Claira has dipped into this well and it may not be the last.

As far as her being a “woman of color”, can we stop with these woke liberals employing their negro dialect? In her now infamous TikTok video, she repeatedly said “Ima stab, Ima stab….” Not all black people speak ghetto, not all black people like sounding uneducated, and for her to believe she can, shows that #BlackLivesMatter is a cause she latched onto so she can feel good about herself.

But like the awareness #Karen has brought to racist white women, Claira has now made things extremely difficult for corporate America to even want to consider hiring an under-30 candidate. Not only was she extremely reckless on social media, but she’s managed to blame everyone else (including her former employer) for the ramifications of her actions. Had a Trump supporter posted a video saying anything close to what Janover said, she’d the first to pile on, respond accordingly and gleefully hope for the doxing and firing of the offender.

But, SHE is different.

The video with Claira crying is almost satirical.

“I’m too strong for you. I’m too strong for any of you ‘All Lives Matter,’ racist Trump supporters.”

For those who are thinking of investing in a Harvard education, it would be wise to remember some of the more noteworthy that attended the university, like Ted “Unabomber” Kaczynski; George Lincoln Rockwell, founder of the American Nazi Party; mass shooter Amy Bishop; former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling; Lyle Menendez who along with his brother Erik, murdered his parents, and now… Claira Janover.

We demand that you stop honoring both those who fought to preserve the institution of Black bondage as well as those who profited from it. Instead, we demand that homage is paid to those who died in the quest to free themselves from from the hands of those sought to keep them as laborers never as citizens and as property not as people.

Of course, the one small detail these activists ALWAYS leave out is “those who fought to preserve the institution of Black bondage” were Democrats and “those who died in the quest to free themselves from from the hands of those sought to keep them as laborers” were Republicans.

But in a coordinated attempt to call all who oppose them as racists, the so-called educated are now lecturing the rest of the nation and demanding we eradicate the names of prominent Democrats who fought until the 1960s to keep blacks in their place.

The whitewashing of their racist legacy continues to this day.

This is by no means a complete list but you’ll note on EVERY media “name change” report, the word “Democrat” appears virtually nowhere and we all know if just one of these slave owners were a Republican, his name would be in the headline of every story in all caps and Republicans today would be hunted down to publicly denounce their party’s inhuman legacy of deadly oppression.

We won’t get into the taught-sheer ignorance of those doing the protesting and the desperation of others still insisting the Republicans are now the racists and Democrats are the enlightened. If that’s the case, why the continuation of historical revisionism to the liberal simples and omission of the party affiliation of Confederates that would require a public explanation?

Again a sad indictment on the Republican Party whose founders opposed slavery while their modern day descendants appear too sheepish to remind progressive exploiters of their obvious murderous, racist place in American history.

Elite law students want their finals postponed because of grand jury decisions. Not everyone is sympathetic.

Their opening remarks are weak, to say the least.

We have been traumatized over and again by the devaluation of Black and Brown lives. We are falling apart.

Recent events have unsettled our lives as students. We have struggled to compartmentalize our trauma as we sit and make fruitless attempts to focus on exam preparation.

Our trauma will be present with us on exam day, our trauma is inhibiting us from sleeping at night, and our trauma is ever-present among the words in our textbooks. Moreover, the violence that the law has done to Mike Brown and now Eric Garner is a legal violence that affects and implicates us all. We are now asked to use the same legal maneuvers and language on our exams this Monday that was used to deny justice to so many Black and Brown bodies. In being asked to prepare for and take our exams in this moment, we are being asked to perform incredible acts of disassociation that have led us to question our place in this school community and the legal community at large.

We need time to process and breathe. We need your support. We need it now.

We expect the following:

1. 1. 1. That faculty and administration recognize our trauma as legitimate and worthy of a response
      2. That students who have been deeply affected by recent events be allowed to postpone exams
      3. That an emergency event occur on Monday, December 8, 2015 for the administration, faculty, and students to discuss the concerns of students of color in the wake of recent events

What a bunch of “people of color”, self-centered, privileged, victim wannabes.

Using the Brown and Garner tragedies to get out of taking finals is lame and as the sentiments of resentment flood in, this latest attempt of victimization will further inhibit “people of color” from gaining employment in many of our nation’s law firms; not because they are “people of color” but because of their potential of wanting special treatment based on sympathy and exhibited weakness.

The law is all about precedent and being able to have total recall of precedent.

When the final verdict of the UVA rape incident end in a result female students don’t like, will they be too “traumatized” to take their finals? We could be talking discrimination…? When a gay incident happens, will they be too “traumatized” to take a final? Precedent will have been set.

Let’s be real; most of us wanted a reason to not take a final. We just didn’t think exploiting a national tragedy was the best way to do it. We just studied up and took the fucking exam. These “students of color” are lazy, wanted an excuse to get out of something all other students had to do, and #blacklivesmatter was convenient.

No one will want this crop of lawyers to represent them, and their future whining will not fall on deaf ears.

They’ll be taken as a joke and deservedly so.

During a primetime press conference on the whole black-Harvard-scholar-being-racially-profiled-and-arrested-in-his-Cambridge-Massachusetts-home thing, President Obama said,

“Well, I should say at the outset that Skip Gates is a friend, so I may be a little biased here. I don’t know all the facts.”

This is where the president should have stopped and minded his own business, but the all-about-me man just couldn’t contain himself…

Now, I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. That’s just a fact.

President Obama admits he didn’t know much about the case, and yet slams a police department on national television. Is this stupid or what?

When hearing about the arrest of professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., director of the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research at Harvard, something just didn’t smell right.

The way the story’s been reported, Police arrived at Professor Gates’s home near Harvard Square to question him as he had trouble unlocking his door after it became jammed.

According to the police report, Professor Gates accused the investigating officer of being a racist and told him he had “no idea who he was messing with,” and that he was being targeted because “I’m a black man in America.”

The term “racial profiling” is negative code for police doing their job. If a disproportionate number of redheaded teens were seen as committing crime, it would be irresponsible of the cops to not keep an eye out for redheaded teens.

Cambridge, Massachusetts is 12% black. I haven’t been able to easily find the racial breakdown of crime there, and that may be due to the very liberal make-up of the city. But if blacks are committing more than 12% of the crime in the affluent area where the professoriate live, then the Cambridge police would be hassled for not following up on reports of suspicious behavior.

And if Professor Gates was this victim of police profiling and harassment, he sure didn’t act like the victim he portrays himself as.

Bill Carter, the man who snapped a photograph of Gates being led away in handcuffs, said police officers were calm and that Gates was “slightly out of control” and “agitated” when he was arrested.

“The officers around kind of calmed him down,” Carter said. “I heard him yelling — Mr. Gates yelling. I didn’t hear anything that he was saying so I couldn’t say that he was belligerent.”

Professor Gates is in the race business and displayed elitism when all he had to do is cooperate. Now, the problem is Gates has gotten a taste of the international limelight; a race peddler’s dream, and he’s going to milk it for all it’s worth.

“He should look into his heart and know that he is not telling the truth and he should beg my forgiveness.”

Mouthing off to cops gets congresspersons, multi-millionaire celebrities and athletes arrested, and the police know whom they’re messing with.

Should I side with Professor Gates just because he’s black? Many seem to believe I would and should. But if Gates fully cooperated with the police and was courteous, chances are this wouldn’t have escalated as it did.

The officer, Sgt. James Crowley, told CNN affiliate WCVB earlier Wednesday that he will not apologize.

“There are not many certainties in life, but it is for certain that Sgt. Crowley will not be apologizing,” he said.

Kudos to Sergeant Crowley for not apologizing and giving added juice to America’s latest race huckster, Professor Henry Louis Gates.

Gates said he’d be prepared to forgive the arresting officer “if he told the truth”about what the director of Harvard’s W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research said were “fabrications” in the police report. He said Wednesday that he and his lawyers were considering further actions, not excluding a lawsuit.

Gates said that although the ordeal had upset him, “I would do the same thing exactly again.”

The same President of the United States who constantly reminds us of that status yet claims it’s not all about him, has carelessly interjected himself with yet another reckless statement.

Unlike Professor Gates, I don’t make my money looking for racism, so I don’t see it when it’s not there. Unlike President Obama, my words don’t resonate nationally to the point where they can influence policy… yet. His words can cause unrest if not spoken wisely.

Barack Obama’s election was supposedly a sign of the end of racism in America, however his actions (including the dismissal of charges against election day intimidating Black Panthers) are now showing he thinks with the race head first, and that is very dangerous, especially when his mouth is equally unrestrained.
