I’ll preface my commentary with the obvious: All of the “mostly peaceful” protests by our “college educated” on campuses nationwide that are clearly pro-Hamas and aimed at Jewish students are wrong, illegal, and all involved should either go back to the classes their parents and taxpayers are funding or be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

But why the sudden sanctimonious outrage from the media and pundit class, billionaire donors, business leaders, and politicians? Why are the harassment and threats against Jewish students a red line that’s been crossed and now found to be totally unacceptable? It’s only because the current violence hits too close to home.

Several major donors have called a hard stop to their past donations:

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, a Columbia graduate, said he was stopping donations immediately and charged the college with failing to keep its Jewish students safe. Billionaire investor Leon Cooperman, a business school graduate, said he would stick with a stop on donations which began shortly after the October 7 Hamas massacres. Cooperman, industrialist Len Blavatnik and Kraft have donated nearly $100 million in total to Columbia, according to some estimates — money that has created multiple buildings on campus, scholarships for engineers, and a center for Jewish students.

These opportunistic hand-wringers are hardly consistent.

After Eric Garner’s death in 2014 death and Freddie Gray’s in 2015, college students eagerly joined the burgeoning #BlackLivesMatter #DefundThePolice movements. Permitless street protests started becoming a new norm where traffic was strategically snarled, and thousands of commuters were held hostage to those who believed they could demand to be heard at the inconvenience of others.

Many of those protests resulted in millions of dollars of public and private property damage, looting of businesses, and burning of buildings and homes in predominantly black neighborhoods. Still, we were all told to deal with it because protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Arrests and prosecutions were minimal, and the few charged were dismissed.

Those protests also resulted in compliant progressive local legislatures beginning to actually defund their law enforcement agencies, resulting in unsafe streets for citizens and the assassination of police officers nationwide. The negative ramifications to public safety felt since have been profound.

After President Donald Trump’s 2016 election, students from high school through college were encouraged to leave campuses and take to the streets, again without permits, and to disrupt traffic, again resulting in the expected public and private property damage. The outrage from those with influence was minimal because the protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Arrests and prosecutions were minimal, and the few charged were dismissed.

After George Floyd’s death in 2020 (and too many still don’t know that the actual cause was self-inflicted), tens of thousands of protesters, including college students, took to highways and streets for the summer, causing intentional disruptions for thousands of commuters, damaging and/or destroying hundreds of public and private buildings, attacking law enforcement, burning and looting businesses and homes, primarily in black neighborhoods. Once again, the American people were told to suck it up because the protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Arrests and prosecutions were minimal and the few charges were dismissed.

Many politicians embraced, encouraged and rewarded the tumult.

Conservatives have been met with threats and eventual violence after being invited to speak on college campuses for many years, but the outrage was minimal and we were told to suck it up because the protesters were exercising their right to free speech.

Female activists have been met with threats and eventual violence after being invited to speak on college campuses against the unfair and dangerous incursion of transgender athletes into their sports. It could be argued if those now expressing their outrage had stepped in and efficiently cracked down on the illegal street takeovers and protests back in 2014, the red line between common decency and anarchy would not have been crossed. In almost every case, college students contributed to the ranks of unruly protesters, participated in the mayhem, destruction and afterward returned to the safety and warmth of their dorms or homes.

Almost all of the pundits on the left and the news networks gave aid and comfort to the violent protesters by labeling them as #MostlyPeaceful despite the clear optics to the contrary.

Almost all of those who donate hefty sums to colleges and universities and are quite vocal today forced their businesses to fully embrace the #BlackLivesMatter grift, despite the internal rifts that would be caused.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Robert Kraft and others to admit their error in judgment and apologize to the many Americans who’ve been casualties of crime because the police couldn’t come when needed.

There was no legislation introduced on Capitol Hill offered to outlaw the activities of #Antifa and other anarchists whose sole mission was to exploit grievances as an excuse to commit acts of destruction; maybe because some of the protesters are relatives of those same legislators.

All of the protests, excused and/or applauded by the left, resulted in hundreds of injuries and death. Those lives didn’t matter and have been forgotten by all those now belatedly expressing horror and outrage.

And who are Ivy League college presidents and administrators now calling to quell unruly antisemitic students and outside agitators? Ah yes, the very police they had no problem smearing, defunding and/or removing from their campus safe spaces, acquiescing to activists and radicals. Funny how irony inconveniences the small college-educated mind.

The threats and violence against Jewish students on college campuses and street/highway takeovers by the pro-Hamas-indoctrinated are the direct result of not shutting down misguided and illegal student-fueled protests ten years ago. It’s shameful that it took a decade of this societal breakdown and violence before wealthy Jewish donors finally woke up to the fact that it was always going to end with attacks on the Jews.

The toothpaste is out of the tube.

If you think about it, how many times have we been told we must believe something despite things we’ve seen with our own eyes that doesn’t make sense and goes against everything we’re told we must believe?

One thing that comes to mind is the result of the 2020 presidential election where we are still repeated told we must believe there was “no evidence” of vote fraud.

There were numerous instances that reeked of funny business on election day, night, and in the days and weeks to follow. Citizens made presentations under oath with local technical experts at legislative hearings, showing glaring anomalies to the process. Suits were filed in courts nationwide and almost all were dismissed. THAT was the basis for the media to uniformly declare that the 2020 election was devoid of fraud and anyone with an inkling of doubt was a conspiracy theorist, election denying sociopath.

And why would that be?

Because regurgitating the lie is safe, especially when generous personal incomes are involved.

What happens when the actual evidence doesn’t match up with the public narrative that everyone’s already decided on? This is the kind of case that ends careers.

As previously surmised, this could explain why local and state judges declined to take or quickly dismissed cases questioning the results of the 2020 election.

It’s not because the case may or may not have had merit. It could have been because the judge simply didn’t need the hassle. He or she didn’t need unruly and unstable mobs with bullhorns staking out their homes in quiet neighborhoods. He or she didn’t need to weather calls for their firing and demands for contentious interviews with ignorant media types with their narrow minds already made up. Who needs that shit even though the job requires that all sides receive a fair hearing?

The path of least resistance is to accept the lie as truth no matter how many are harmed. Whether we’re talking about a presidential candidate or city where a reduction of law enforcement results in crime run amok and citizens become victims, as long as certain people can go on with their careers with the minimal amount of inconvenience, the truth be damned.

There comes a time when these students should be considered grownups and held to a standard that involves being accountable for actions.

A question that’s yet to be asked is where was all this outrage over the stance of impressionable (and wrong) college students while they were eagerly protesting on behalf of the fraud that was Black Lives Matter? Not to equate the barbaric loss of life in Israel at the hands of Hamas to what happened here in the United States alone, but why were the adults with checkbooks silent for the entire Summer of 2020?

It’s not like the BLM riots were “mostly peaceful” and relatively harmless. In fact, the aftermath still plagues the United States to this day with ongoing deadly consequences.

We’re not talking about young people making foolish, harmless statements. In all too many cases, their words and deeds harmed the very people they claimed to be advocating. Some of the white sympathizers even justified the looting and burning of black-owned businesses.

At a recent antifa gathering in Portland, Ore., protesters shared literature arguing for the righteousness of property destruction with titles like “Why Break Windows.” In a media critique earlier this year published on the website Refinery29, Britni de la Cretaz wrote:

Whether we’re talking Antifa or Britnies, black businesses were considered acceptable collateral damage by young, white so-called activists who were clearly narcissists in need of inclusion in a movement they didn’t create. Many of these young people were either in college or employed.

Where were the billionaire donors while college students nationwide were promoting and participating in activities that resulted in billions of dollars of public and private property damage, much of it in black neighborhoods? Where were the billionaire donors while college students nationwide were promoting the misguided “Defund the Police” concept that have made neighborhoods unsafe, now including the affluent ones? Where were the billionaire donors while college students nationwide were calling for the killing of police offices and those assassinations continue to this day resulting in record-low officer retention and recruitment?

There appears to be few, if any, reports of outraged college donors withdrawing job offers or firing those who may have been involved in disruptive street protests and closures or participation in protesting in black neighborhoods where the looting and burning of businesses was prevalent.

Some of these guilt-assuaged billionaire donors may have embraced the trendy-yet-toxic side effect of the BLM riots: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

The impact of the Black Lives Matter movement in corporate America is palpable and the business justification for having meaningful diversity and inclusion programs in the workplace is proven. Diverse businesses are better places to work; they make better decisions, have a more positive profile in the community and earn greater respect in the marketplace. These and other factors generally result in greater financial returns.

So how can you re-define or invigorate diversity and inclusion initiatives in your business?

The Hamas massacre in Israel deserved the near-universal condemnation it’s received from those with normal brains. The case could be made that all of the campus Jew-hate delusion the world it witnessing now could have been nipped in the bud years ago had the wallets to these colleges been closed shut.

What’s sad is that an outrage that took place halfway around the world has gotten the attention of the donor class. The outrage of death and destruction that occurred in this country, and the ramifications, since is still pending (if realized at all) from the triggered rich.

Seeing how he almost always has to reach into his default bash-Republicans mode, Maher took time near the end of his closing monologue to remind us that many of the stoopids who attended Ivy League colleges hold federal offices and he pointed squarely at the GOP. Unlike Maher, let’s not conveniently give Democrat Ivy League alumni like Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, Steny Hoyer, John Kerry, Eric Holder, Jack Lew, and Valerie Jarrett a pass.

Look at how much damage they’ve done “transforming” America.

Trump’s first term was engulfed in the “chaos” the left and their media created, resulting in two failed impeachments, an intentional pandemic and despite all that, his accomplishments for the American people were numerous and historic. We always hear the squishy excuse their non-votes because “both sides are the same”. The American people will have a very recent and clear contrast between the Trump and Biden presidencies. Only blind hatred would make a Democrat vote for an additional four years of this shit; their best option would be to stay home, must to the consternation of the left.

More election interference will be needed to offset Biden-voter lethargy, and the first will be to remind and assure voters that vote fraud did not happen in 2020, 2022, and won’t happen in 2024. Common sense won’t work. You have to admit, intimidation did when it counted most.

Imagine being a judge in 2020; a judge that probably has a spouse and children. Despite their oaths to faithfully render lawful decisions and verdicts, let’s also note they are human beings. They, too, witnessed the summer of violence and it’s understandable that they would prefer not subject themselves and their families to intimidation (or worse) at the hands of organized, angry liberal mobs. It’s not like the left doesn’t intimidate judges, even those with federal protection….

CNN political analyst David Gregory called the attempted murder of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh “horrifying” and slammed the left for being “so hypocritical” about blaming the right for mob violence and not addressing their own side’s role in motivating such behavior.

Intimidation wasn’t denounced by the left because it’s a tactic they will use until their violence takes out someone of elevated stature on their side. Then we’ll ALL be implicated and told to turn down the volume.

Republican candidates and blabbermouths can warn voters about the possibility of “chaos” if Donald Trump again earns the nomination, let alone the presidency in 2024, but if Ron DeSantis promises calm if he’s elected, he’s either a liar or dangerously naive. Local media is nothing compared to what’s in store for him should he secure the Republican nomination for president. It’s obvious he knows that.

Now that we have millions of new potential Democrat voters (illegal aliens) that will be invading cities and neighborhoods across the nation between now and the next election, there will be more than enough rioting and destruction that will provide cover for any targeted intimidation the left wishes to conduct.

Donald Trump has been there, done that, and seemingly relishes in any opportunity to stick it to the next-in-line who foolishly believes they’ll be the one to finally put him in his place. All the others running have witness it happening to him but it won’t become real until it happens them, and it WILL be real.

There will be chaos. The left has made it not just a threat but a promise.

Yep, it was the most secure election in history. Except for that Russian interference in both 2016 and 2020. Unfortunately, one accusation turned out to be a Hillary Clinton/DNC dirty trick and the other turned out be a cover story to mask an embarrassment to the Democrat candidate so patterns need be taken into account.

Back to Biden’s rantings, when it comes to repeatedly refusing to accept the results of a free and fair election, Donald Trump and his supporters need to get to the back of the line.

Marc Elias, a prominent Democratic election attorney, argued in a court filing this week that faulty voting machines may have misread thousands of votes in a House election in upstate New York, a claim similar to the debunked allegation some Republicans pushed regarding the 2020 presidential election.

Biden rambled on.

They promote authoritarian leaders, and they fan the flames of political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country. They look at the mob that stormed the United States Capitol on January 6th — brutally attacking law enforcement — not as insurrectionists who placed a dagger to the throat of our democracy, but they look at them as patriots.

Democrats conveniently dismiss any attempt to compare the January 6 foolishness to the liberal Democrat 2020 “Summer of Love” Black Lives Matter/Antifa rioting that occurred in hundreds of American cities and cost many lost enforcement personnel and citizens their lives, not to mention billions in private and public property damage.

But the takeover of a “People’s House” didn’t occur for the first time ever in Washington, D.C. after the 2020 election. Leftists have shot up and bombed the Capitol before, but let’s not get all distracted by the past. Actually, the takeover of a legislature building is a rather common occurrence when Dems don’t get their way, want something, and most of the time without a permit.

Liberal Democrats are encouraged and allowed to occupy government spaces but when the right protests, Democrats call the cops to have the gathering declared an “unlawful assembly”.

And they see their MAGA failure to stop a peaceful transfer of power after the 2020 election as preparation for the 2022 and 2024 elections.

Democrats denied Republicans the opportunity to celebrate Inauguration Day 2017 and Biden will never mention the attempted assassination of Republicans at a baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia by a Bernie Sanders supporter. Political violence has been extremely rare on the right and routine from the left.

They tried everything last time to nullify the votes of 81 million people. This time, they’re determined to succeed in thwarting the will of the people. I will not stand by and watch — I will not — the will of the American people be overturned by wild conspiracy theories and baseless, evidence-free claims of fraud.

Before we blindly agree that the 2020 election was on the up-and-up just because they told us so, don’t forget the growing number of instances where we were told to accept something the left and their media insisted was truth that had to be acted on just to find out it was either very wrong or an intentional lie. Remember those in the Trump administration and/or supporters who’ve been arrested (and in some cases financially ruined defending themselves against federal law enforcement) while Democrats who have genuinely broken the law get the customary wrist slap if any punishment at all.

Seeing how the United States is a constitutional republic, the only threat to “democracy” is the fact that most of the word Democrat is in it. Biden’s vindictive policies have been so destructive to Americans, he’s doing all he can to keep what semblance of a base he has left because when Republicans take the majority in 2022 and Trump gets back in the White House in 2025, there will be a reckoning.

With their GoFundMe account now frozen, the participants in the “Freedom convoy” in Ottawa are now also facing a lawsuit from an Ottawa woman who has opened her case up for others to join as a potential class action. On Friday, Ottawa resident Zexi Li filed a lawsuit in Ontario Superior Court, seeking damages for emotional and mental distress, headaches, sleeping difficulties, difficulty concentrating and interference with quiet enjoyment of her home. “The Class Members are living in daily torment caused by the incessant blasting of truck horns,” reads the statement of claim.

The suit seeks $9.8 million in damages plus costs for participants in the potential class action.

Li won an injunction against the truckers.

Zexi Li is a public servant behind a proposed $9.8-million class action filed with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, which sought an injunction prohibiting the defendants, or any other participant in the anti-vaccine mandate convoy protest, from using vehicle horns in the vicinity of downtown Ottawa. The court granted the 10-day injunction Monday, banning honking in the area north of the Queensway, the city’s main east-west artery. According to the order, police are now authorized to arrest and remove anyone who they believe is intentionally contravening the order. Typically, such nuisances fall under the city’s bylaws and are subject to a fine.

The vandalism and looting following the death of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis police will cost the insurance industry more than any other violent demonstrations in recent history. The protests that took place in 140 U.S. cities this spring were mostly peaceful, but the arson, vandalism and looting that did occur will result in at least $1 billion to $2 billion of paid insurance claims.

Aside from the disruption of movement in and around Ottawa, there are no reports of arson, vandalism or looting at the hands of the Canadian truckers and the only monies now being mentioned is the Canadian government’s seizure of trucker bank accounts and the possible liquidation of trucks confiscated by the Ottawa Police Service.

More than 2,000 law enforcement officers were injured in the first weeks of protests over the summer following the in-custody death of George Floyd, according to a report from the Major Cities Chiefs Association. During that period, there were 8,700 protests nationwide; 574 were declared riots with violence and other criminal acts.

The only verified reports of injury in Ottawa are primarily of protesters injured by the very police people like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau protested against less than two years ago.

Nine of the people killed during protests were demonstrators taking part in Black Lives Matter protests. At least 14 more Americans have been killed in other incidents linked to political unrest this summer, including seven people shot during alleged looting of businesses, among them David Dorn, a retired police officer shot during the robbery of a pawn shop in St Louis; two California law enforcement officers murdered by an alleged anti-government “Boogaloo” extremist, one person found dead in a pawn shop in Minneapolis that had been set on fire; an eight-year-old shot to death in Atlanta; and a Louisville restaurant owner who was shot dead by the national guard.

Not sure if any of those immediately impacted by Floyd rioters could afford to sue Black Lives Matter for “emotional distress”, and ask black people how easy it is to find a pro bono attorney who’ll take a case.

A neighborhood was unable to sleep because of loud horns from trucks and emotional distress was the toll. It was an “occupation” incomparable with the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) Antifa occupation in Seattle.

It could be argued that was not as bad as the hundreds of thousands of residents across the United States who had trouble sleeping because they didn’t know who could break into their places of business to steal and burn, let alone possibly burn in their own homes because people like Li didn’t want to police anywhere near a poor neighborhood she would ever live in.

We’ll see if Zexi Li has such a respect for laws and enforcement when the next Black Lives Matter protest comes to town.

Cops has been canceled. Paramount Network has decided to dump the long-running true-crime reality TV series. Cops was already pulled from the cable channel after nationwide protests of police brutality and racism following the death of George Floyd on May 25.

Now the network confirms the series has been permanently shelved. “Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a network spokesperson said.

The truth didn’t matter as “Hands up, don’t shoot” (which was never said by Michael Brown) was still a popular chant then and still is to this day.

Now, we have the George Floyd incident which resulted in the reemergence of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and a renewed “discussion” on race in America which has been bolstered by the social media-driven #CancelCulture to the destruction of anyone in their path.

We were again assured that justice would be served and as Americans, we expect to see all the facts so we can make informed decisions.

It’s sad it took a British publication to give Americans pertinent information, months after the fact.

It’s kinda’ scary to think an elected official could withhold possibly exonerating evidence, but we’re not surprised.

It’s kinda’ scary to think the crazies would be allowed to believe one version of events and not see everything so all involved might have taken a step back, but we’re not surprised.

It’s kinda’ scary to think a politician would be willing to see private and public property be vandalized and/or destroyed, citizens and police officers be injured and/or killed, just to win a prosecution… but we’re not surprised.

It’s kinda scary to think Keith Ellison may be on a short list for Attorney General of the United States should Joe Biden win the presidency in November, but it looks like he’s dressing up his resume.

What we can again take from this, as we did going back as far as Trayon Martin, is that we clearly can’t trust what we see when it comes to what is cherry-picked and presented to the public. Had the public been able to see the video preceding the famous punch, Ray Rice might have been able to end his football career on the field, on his terms. Had the public been able to hear all of the audio and not just a selective clip blown up by the media, Donald Sterling might still own the Los Angeles Clippers.

And had the State of Minnesota released all of the body cam video in the George Floyd incident early on, who knows how many lives and property may have been spared from the ignorant mob and we probably wouldn’t be dealing with #DefundThePolice foolishness.

But as long as the elected get what they want, who are we (and the truth) to stand in their way?

Dear profs X, Y, Z

I am one of your colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley. I have met you both personally but do not know you closely, and am contacting you anonymously, with apologies. I am worried that writing this email publicly might lead to me losing my job, and likely all future jobs in my field.

A genuine concern with documented ramifications when it comes to the perils of objecting to liberal consensus.

In your recent departmental emails you mentioned our pledge to diversity, but I am increasingly alarmed by the absence of diversity of opinion on the topic of the recent protests and our community response to them.

In the extended links and resources you provided, I could not find a single instance of substantial counter-argument or alternative narrative to explain the under-representation of black individuals in academia or their over-representation in the criminal justice system. The explanation provided in your documentation, to the near exclusion of all others, is univariate: the problems of the black community are caused by whites, or, when whites are not physically present, by the infiltration of white supremacy and white systemic racism into American brains, souls, and institutions.

Many cogent objections to this thesis have been raised by sober voices, including from within the black community itself, such as Thomas Sowell and Wilfred Reilly.

Chances are very high many of these so-called intelligent scholars never heard of Thomas Sowell.

These people are not racists or ‘Uncle Toms’. They are intelligent scholars who reject a narrative that strips black people of agency and systematically externalizes the problems of the black community onto outsiders. Their view is entirely absent from the departmental and UCB-wide communiques.

No surprise there.

The claim that the difficulties that the black community faces are entirely causally explained by exogenous factors in the form of white systemic racism, white supremacy, and other forms of white discrimination remains a problematic hypothesis that should be vigorously challenged by historians. Instead, it is being treated as an axiomatic and actionable truth without serious consideration of its profound flaws, or its worrying implication of total black impotence.

This hypothesis is transforming our institution and our culture, without any space for dissent outside of a tightly policed, narrow discourse.

And that’s how petty, narrow-minded liberals want it as true debate, involving facts, trigger them into name-calling hysterics.

A counternarrative exists. If you have time, please consider examining some of the documents I attach at the end of this email. Overwhelmingly, the reasoning provided by BLM and allies is either primarily anecdotal (as in the case with the bulk of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ undeniably moving article) or it is transparently motivated. As an example of the latter problem, consider the proportion of black incarcerated Americans. This proportion is often used to characterize the criminal justice system as anti-black. However, if we use the precise same methodology, we would have to conclude that the criminal justice system is even more anti-male than it is anti-black.

Would we characterize criminal justice as a systemically misandrist conspiracy against innocent American men? I hope you see that this type of reasoning is flawed, and requires a significant suspension of our rational faculties. Black people are not incarcerated at higher rates than their involvement in violent crime would predict. This fact has been demonstrated multiple times across multiple jurisdictions in multiple countries. And yet, I see my department uncritically reproducing a narrative that diminishes black agency in favor of a white-centric explanation that appeals to the department’s apparent desire to shoulder the ‘white man’s burden’ and to promote a narrative of white guilt.

While white liberals are going out of their way to be considerate of black people in conjunction with the latest George Floyd fad, how long before they go back to normal?

If we claim that the criminal justice system is white-supremacist, why is it that Asian Americans, Indian Americans, and Nigerian Americans are incarcerated at vastly lower rates than white Americans?

That is a common sense question that tends to be conveniently dismissed as a straw man argument.

This is a funny sort of white supremacy. Even Jewish Americans are incarcerated less than gentile whites. I think it’s fair to say that your average white supremacist disapproves of Jews. And yet, these alleged white supremacists incarcerate gentiles at vastly higher rates than Jews. None of this is addressed in your literature. None of this is explained, beyond hand-waving and ad hominems. “Those are racist dogwhistles”. “The model minority myth is white supremacist”.

“Only fascists talk about black-on-black crime”, ad nauseam. These types of statements do not amount to counterarguments: they are simply arbitrary offensive classifications, intended to silence and oppress discourse. Any serious historian will recognize these for the silencing orthodoxy tactics they are, common to suppressive regimes, doctrines, and religions throughout time and space. They are intended to crush real diversity and permanently exile the culture of robust criticism from our department.

Increasingly, we are being called upon to comply and subscribe to BLM’s problematic view of history, and the department is being presented as unified on the matter. In particular, ethnic minorities are being aggressively marshaled into a single position. Any apparent unity is surely a function of the fact that dissent could almost certainly lead to expulsion or cancellation for those of us in a precarious position, which is no small number.

According to the left, since we all look alike, we’re supposed to think alike and as they so authorize.

I personally don’t dare speak out against the BLM narrative, and with this barrage of alleged unity being mass-produced by the administration, tenured professoriat, the UC administration, corporate America, and the media, the punishment for dissent is a clear danger at a time of widespread economic vulnerability. I am certain that if my name were attached to this email, I would lose my job and all future jobs, even though I believe in and can justify every word I type.

As have many who dared ask any questions about #BlackLivesMatter’s motives and actions.

The vast majority of violence visited on the black community is committed by black people.

Fact.

There are virtually no marches for these invisible victims, no public silences, no heartfelt letters from the UC regents, deans, and departmental heads. The message is clear: Black lives only matter when whites take them. Black violence is expected and insoluble, while white violence requires explanation and demands solution. Please look into your hearts and see how monstrously bigoted this formulation truly is.

Good luck with that.

No discussion is permitted for nonblack victims of black violence, who proportionally outnumber black victims of nonblack violence. This is especially bitter in the Bay Area, where Asian victimization by black assailants has reached epidemic proportions, to the point that the SF police chief has advised Asians to stop hanging good-luck charms on their doors, as this attracts the attention of (overwhelmingly black) home invaders.

Here’s where truth becomes problematic.

Home invaders like George Floyd. For this actual, lived, physically experienced reality of violence in the USA, there are no marches, no tearful emails from departmental heads, no support from McDonald’s and Wal-Mart. For the History department, our silence is not a mere abrogation of our duty to shed light on the truth: it is a rejection of it.

There have been zero documented marches by #BlackLivesMatter for any of the dozens who are injured or killed by black-on-black gun violence that occurs in major metropolitan cities on any given weekend in the United States, and we all know why that is.

The claim that black intraracial violence is the product of redlining, slavery, and other injustices is a largely historical claim.

It is for historians, therefore, to explain why Japanese internment or the massacre of European Jewry hasn’t led to equivalent rates of dysfunction and low SES performance among Japanese and Jewish Americans respectively. Arab Americans have been viciously demonized since 9/11, as have Chinese Americans more recently. However, both groups outperform white Americans on nearly all SES indices – as do Nigerian Americans, who incidentally have black skin. It is for historians to point out and discuss these anomalies. However, no real discussion is possible in the current climate at our department. The explanation is provided to us, disagreement with it is racist, and the job of historians is to further explore additional ways in which the explanation is additionally correct. This is a mockery of the historical profession.

No real discussion was had prior to this recent provocation and expect none in the near future, if at all. At least by the left.

Now, here’s where the gut punches begin….

Most troublingly, our department appears to have been entirely captured by the interests of the Democratic National Convention, and the Democratic Party more broadly. To explain what I mean, consider what happens if you choose to donate to Black Lives Matter, an organization UCB History has explicitly promoted in its recent mailers. All donations to the official BLM website are immediately redirected to ActBlue Charities, an organization primarily concerned with bankrolling election campaigns for Democrat candidates. Donating to BLM today is to indirectly donate to Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign. This is grotesque given the fact that the American cities with the worst rates of black-on-black violence and police-on-black violence are overwhelmingly Democrat-run. Minneapolis itself has been entirely in the hands of Democrats for over five decades; the ‘systemic racism’ there was built by successive Democrat administrations.

The patronizing and condescending attitudes of Democrat leaders towards the black community, exemplified by nearly every Biden statement on the black race, all but guarantee a perpetual state of misery, resentment, poverty, and the attendant grievance politics which are simultaneously annihilating American political discourse and black lives. And yet, donating to BLM is bankrolling the election campaigns of men like Mayor Frey, who saw their cities devolve into violence. This is a grotesque capture of a good-faith movement for necessary police reform, and of our department, by a political party.

An acknowledgement of the hypocrisy, thus failure of the Democrat plantation perpetually unrewarded.

Even worse, there are virtually no avenues for dissent in academic circles. I refuse to serve the Party, and so should you. The total alliance of major corporations involved in human exploitation with BLM should be a warning flag to us, and yet this damning evidence goes unnoticed, purposefully ignored, or perversely celebrated. We are the useful idiots of the wealthiest classes, carrying water for Jeff Bezos and other actual, real, modern-day slavers. Starbucks, an organisation using literal black slaves in its coffee plantation suppliers, is in favor of BLM. Sony, an organisation using cobalt mined by yet more literal black slaves, many of whom are children, is in favor of BLM. And so, apparently, are we. The absence of counter-narrative enables this obscenity. Fiat lux, indeed.

Just witness the shallow overtures by the Hollywood elite; arm-in-arm with the “mostly peaceful” #BlackLivesMatter George Floyd protests… that is, until they get a wee too close to Beverly Hills. Then all means to redirect, by those dreaded police, are silently approved of.

There also exists a large constituency of what can only be called ‘race hustlers’: hucksters of all colors who benefit from stoking the fires of racial conflict to secure administrative jobs, charity management positions, academic jobs and advancement, or personal political entrepreneurship.

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Shaun King, DeRay Mckesson, Angela Rye, Reverend William J. Barber II, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch… the list is long.

Given the direction our history department appears to be taking far from any commitment to truth, we can regard ourselves as a formative training institution for this brand of snake-oil salespeople. Their activities are corrosive, demolishing any hope at harmonious racial coexistence in our nation and colonizing our political and institutional life. Many of their voices are unironically segregationist.

MLK would likely be called an Uncle Tom if he spoke on our campus today. We are training leaders who intend, explicitly, to destroy one of the only truly successful ethnically diverse societies in modern history. As the PRC, an ethnonationalist and aggressively racially chauvinist national polity with null immigration and no concept of jus solis increasingly presents itself as the global political alternative to the US, I ask you: Is this wise? Are we really doing the right thing?

No, but they’ll gladly take student tuition money while committing gross educational misconduct.

Now, here’s what could get this black professor fired on the spot….

As a final point, our university and department has made multiple statements celebrating and eulogizing George Floyd. Floyd was a multiple felon who once held a pregnant black woman at gunpoint. He broke into her home with a gang of men and pointed a gun at her pregnant stomach. He terrorized the women in his community. He sired and abandoned multiple children, playing no part in their support or upbringing, failing one of the most basic tests of decency for a human being. He was a drug-addict and sometime drug-dealer, a swindler who preyed upon his honest and hard-working neighbors.

And yet, the regents of UC and the historians of the UCB History department are celebrating this violent criminal, elevating his name to virtual sainthood. A man who hurt women. A man who hurt black women. With the full collaboration of the UCB history department, corporate America, most mainstream media outlets, and some of the wealthiest and most privileged opinion-shaping elites of the USA, he has become a culture hero, buried in a golden casket, his (recognized) family showered with gifts and praise. Americans are being socially pressured into kneeling for this violent, abusive misogynist. A generation of black men are being coerced into identifying with George Floyd, the absolute worst specimen of our race and species. I’m ashamed of my department. I would say that I’m ashamed of both of you, but perhaps you agree with me, and are simply afraid, as I am, of the backlash of speaking the truth. It’s hard to know what kneeling means, when you have to kneel to keep your job.

The left has long history of being apologists for the worst in our society. Robert Byrd, Harvey Weinstein (until he became inconvenient), Roman Polanski, including any black person with a less-than-stellar past who had a fatal run-in with the police and became the martyr-du-jour.

It shouldn’t affect the strength of my argument above, but for the record, I write as a person of color. My family have been personally victimized by men like Floyd. We are aware of the condescending depredations of the Democrat party against our race. The humiliating assumption that we are too stupid to do STEM, that we need special help and lower requirements to get ahead in life, is richly familiar to us. I sometimes wonder if it wouldn’t be easier to deal with open fascists, who at least would be straightforward in calling me a subhuman, and who are unlikely to share my race.

Bleeding heart liberals are the most condescending people in our society, especially when it comes to their low expectations of black people.

The ever-present soft bigotry of low expectations and the permanent claim that the solutions to the plight of my people rest exclusively on the goodwill of whites rather than on our own hard work is psychologically devastating.

Few of the UC Berkeley professoriate can relate to the way their black colleagues live because they seldom go to an impoverished area and interact with those whose plight they lament with scholarly conviction.

No other group in America is systematically demoralized in this way by its alleged allies. A whole generation of black children are being taught that only by begging and weeping and screaming will they get handouts from guilt-ridden whites.

Just look at the way black history has been whitewashed and rewritten by the Democrat left so they can further imprison a whole people, just for their unrewarded vote.

No message will more surely devastate their futures, especially if whites run out of guilt, or indeed if America runs out of whites. If this had been done to Japanese Americans, or Jewish Americans, or Chinese Americans, then Chinatown and Japantown would surely be no different to the roughest parts of Baltimore and East St. Louis today. The History department of UCB is now an integral institutional promulgator of a destructive and denigrating fallacy about the black race.

And has been for decades. This will not change any time soon.

I hope you appreciate the frustration behind this message. I do not support BLM.

I do not support the Democrat grievance agenda and the Party’s uncontested capture of our department. I do not support the Party co-opting my race, as Biden recently did in his disturbing interview, claiming that voting Democrat and being black are isomorphic.

I condemn the manner of George Floyd’s death and join you in calling for greater police accountability and police reform. However, I will not pretend that George Floyd was anything other than a violent misogynist, a brutal man who met a predictably brutal end.

I also want to protect the practice of history. Cleo is no grovelling handmaiden to politicians and corporations. Like us, she is free. /end

Again, blacks are the only group in the United States that are denied freedom of political association, freedom of thought, and freedom of choice. Colleges used to actively promote themselves as a place that embraced “the free exchange of ideas”.

If you’re black, expressing a point of view not authorized by the Democrat left can cost you dearly.

But let a general publicly apologize for obeying a lawful order from President Trump, and let the liberal love fly!

As senior leaders, everything you do will be closely watched. And I am not immune. As many of you saw, the result of the photograph of me at Lafayette Square last week. That sparked a national debate about the role of the military in civil society. I should not have been there. My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics. As a commissioned uniformed officer, it was a mistake that I have learned from, and I sincerely hope we all can learn from it.

Here’s the problem.

Those of us who’ve served know what could happen to any of us if we said anything bad about the Commander-in-Chief while we were on active duty. We were all subject to the rules and/or penalties under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Rules and penalties are rather specific for officers, especially in this case.

Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

And the reasons are obvious.

The main reason for this regulation is to keep military members who have access to major weapons of war to ever get involved in politics. Once they are retired or resigned their commission and a civilian citizen, they may partake in such political arguments in both written or spoken word.

Had ANY of us, while on active duty, talked openly and our words were easily interpreted as having an issue with an action performed, standing right next to the Commander-in-Chief, a general like Mark Milley would be the first to have us relieved from duty, lose our liberty (ability to leave a base or ship), and await punishment that could result in a court-martial, possible dishonorable discharge, and loss of all post-military benefits only after possible incarceration.

General Milley may have contracted the #BlackLivesMatter #woke disease but he’s still on active duty. The rules still do apply to him. In the real world, some of us know that the higher the officer, the more asses are kissed around him and some officers can get real full of themselves. The comments made to National Defense University graduates was all about him, how he felt, and what he should have done.

But we ARE talking about the #swamp and the Pentagon is within the boundaries.

Officials within the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation activity worked to sabotage the Trump transition and Administration. Had any of us done this we’d be in jail for a very, very long time, yet they are ALL still walking the street, making good money as cable news contributors while also enjoying government pensions.

And now, the top military officers can publicly comment in ways that will be used to damage the Commander-in-Chief. Do you think anything will happen to General Milley? Yes, President Trump has fired many people and Milley could be next, but if he isn’t it won’t be a shock.

There is a two-tier system on Capitol Hill. Federal employees can break the law and smile. It looks like the military is now officially part of the #Resistance and we all know how ugly this can get.
