Cops has been canceled. Paramount Network has decided to dump the long-running true-crime reality TV series. Cops was already pulled from the cable channel after nationwide protests of police brutality and racism following the death of George Floyd on May 25.

Now the network confirms the series has been permanently shelved. “Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a network spokesperson said.

Of course when it comes to Hollywood and money, fingers are always crossed behind the back.

And now, the show is coming back home exclusively to Fox Nation with a hitch… the trailer for the October premiere shows only white people as those targeted by the police. (“white Hispanics”, alligators and kittens don’t count.)

It’s only a matter of time before Fox Nation is accused of discriminating against blacks.

We’re still eagerly awaiting an episode or two of a Cops episode shot in Beverly Hills. Then again, we all know why they won’t go there.

Remember the “Hands up, don’t shoot” narrative that led to the creation of #BlackLivesMatter, the subsequent riots and deterioration of race relations in the United States, if not the world?

Remember what happened after the truth finally came out…?

In a speech in Washington, Attorney General Eric Holder concluded, “Michael Brown’s death, though a tragedy, did not involve prosecutable conduct on the part of Officer Wilson.” Holder said that the decision “represents the sound, considered and independent judgment of the expert career prosecutors,” and that he concurred.

An 86-page report released Wednesday found that physical evidence and “credible” witnesses supported police Officer Darren Wilson’s version of an event that drew international attention and triggered repeated protests that included looting and arson in Ferguson, Dellwood, St. Louis and elsewhere.

The truth didn’t matter as “Hands up, don’t shoot” (which was never said by Michael Brown) was still a popular chant then and still is to this day.

Now, we have the George Floyd incident which resulted in the reemergence of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and a renewed “discussion” on race in America which has been bolstered by the social media-driven #CancelCulture to the destruction of anyone in their path.

We were again assured that justice would be served and as Americans, we expect to see all the facts so we can make informed decisions.

It’s sad it took a British publication to give Americans pertinent information, months after the fact.

It’s kinda’ scary to think an elected official could withhold possibly exonerating evidence, but we’re not surprised.

It’s kinda’ scary to think the crazies would be allowed to believe one version of events and not see everything so all involved might have taken a step back, but we’re not surprised.

It’s kinda’ scary to think a politician would be willing to see private and public property be vandalized and/or destroyed, citizens and police officers be injured and/or killed, just to win a prosecution… but we’re not surprised.

It’s kinda scary to think Keith Ellison may be on a short list for Attorney General of the United States should Joe Biden win the presidency in November, but it looks like he’s dressing up his resume.

What we can again take from this, as we did going back as far as Trayon Martin, is that we clearly can’t trust what we see when it comes to what is cherry-picked and presented to the public. Had the public been able to see the video preceding the famous punch, Ray Rice might have been able to end his football career on the field, on his terms. Had the public been able to hear all of the audio and not just a selective clip blown up by the media, Donald Sterling might still own the Los Angeles Clippers.

And had the State of Minnesota released all of the body cam video in the George Floyd incident early on, who knows how many lives and property may have been spared from the ignorant mob and we probably wouldn’t be dealing with #DefundThePolice foolishness.

But as long as the elected get what they want, who are we (and the truth) to stand in their way?

We envision a future where liberals and conservatives have separate businesses and it will be fun to observe which succeed, which fail and why. Until then, cancel culture will continue to devour those who succumb to the bullying, putting them at odds with some of their consumers. That is, until a few companies say “not today”. One such company was Goya.

Another company just took the war to the children and spanked hard.

Red Bull has fired two top executives in the US who had lobbied for more diversity in the company and were blamed for the leak of a letter that criticized its ‘public silence’ on Black Lives Matter. North America chief executive Stefan Kozak and North America president and chief marketing officer Amy Taylor were let go, the energy drink company said Tuesday.

While Red Bull employees in the US have been pressing for the company to be more vocal about racism, Red Bull’s billionaire CEO Dietrich Mateschitz is a Donald Trump admirer who has spoken out against ‘political correctness’. The 76-year-old tycoon also owns a media firm which has been criticized for giving a platform to far-right activists in his native Austria.

Sources told Business Insider that Red Bull’s top executives in Austria are thought to have fired Kozak and Taylor in ‘retaliation’ for the leak, although no official reason was given for their departure. The letter signed by more than 300 employees had criticized the company for ‘saying nothing’ amid the global anti-racism protests and ‘abandoning the communities we claim to support and foster in their time of greatest need’.

Both Kozak and Taylor have pushed for more diversity and inclusion but Taylor was ‘met with opposition’ when she called for the company to take a more public stand on racism, The Wall Street Journal reports.

According to reports, it was an internal outrage that may have set this all off.

Three weeks later, employees leaked a slide from a February U.S. culture marketing team meeting that depicted a world map meme labeled with racist stereotypes. Florian Klaass, the company’s head of global culture and marketing who was responsible for the offensive slide, was also fired.

One obvious subplot, consistent with what’s going on in the world, is the level of immaturity being display by so-called professionals.

The slide shows a distorted map from the viewpoint of an ignorant US consumer. “America!!! We’re #1!!!” is emblazoned across the United States, while an arrow pointing to the Caribbean says “cruise ships go here.” Canada to the north is labeled “Uninhabited.” Mexico and South America are marked “coffee comes from here I think.”

Across the Atlantic, Europe is labeled “pussies” and Africa is marked “zoo animals come from here.” Farther east, the Middle East is labeled “evil doers” with an arrow pointing to the region saying “bombs go here.”  Russia is “Communists,” while China was labeled “they make our stuff.” Japan has an arrow pointing to it, saying: “TVs and cameras.”

Australia was labeled “kangaroos” and Antarctica was “cold.”  An oblong landmass that could be Greenland or the Arctic Circle is labeled “Santa!”

Stereotypes have always had a basis in inconvenient truth. But let’s also not forget that when the left throws around insults, it’s downplayed and/or defended as a joke or satire.

Hopefully more of these 300 employees are purged as political discrimination is legal and these liberals need get a taste of the medicine they’ve happily poured down the throats of conservatives for decades. We also hope this inspires other CEOs to stand up to the millennial mobs and say “No más” to the petulant children’s shenanigans and demands.

Once these punks spend their own money to start a business, they can be as juvenile as desired and alter the mission for that business any time they please. But if they can’t be grateful they have a job and decide they know how to direct a company’s direction better than the person(s) who created it, they should at least be ready so the door doesn’t hit them on the way out.

During Donald Trump’s first term, Democrats were in vocal and legislative opposition but they weren’t hurting financially either. Their personal portfolios have benefited like those of millions of Americans. But after the 2018 midterms, a political fissure erupted within the Democrat Party; a fissure that was unprecedented and probably horrifying to blindsided leadership.

It was called gross insubordination by punk ass freshmen.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with her “squad” of star-power freshmen — that are testing party unity and reshaping Democrats ahead of the 2020 election.

“We’re a family and we have our moments,” Pelosi told colleagues. “You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just OK.”

Incoming freshmen were traditionally given closet-size rooms on the top floor of the Cannon House Office Building, furthest away from the elevator and closest to the stairs. They may receive insignificant committee assignments, if at all. Their first term was one of learning the ropes, and above all else, respecting the established hierarchy. The 2018 Democrat freshmen class, led by AOC, blew that up.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York suggested that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been “singling out” freshman congresswomen of color — the latest charge in a growing rift between the leader of the party in the chamber and the high-profile progressive freshman.

“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” Ocasio-Cortez told The Washington Post in an interview published Wednesday. “But the persistent singling out … it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful … the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

Democrats like to accuse others, rightly or wrongly, of racism. They, especially a Democrat speaker, don’t like it when they’re accused by petulant “women of color” freshmen. You know Pelosi was privately fuming….

According to the media, there was a reconciliation.

Really?

At that time, the Trump economy was rolling along like a freight train. If you go by James Carville’s “It’s the economy, stupid”, higher ups within the DNC were probably ready to throw in the 2020 towel. But there was another problem: AOC and the Squad had the attention of millions, they were driving a socialist agenda that was way too radical for a party that always tried to appear level-headed and “moderate”. The Squad’s followers were rabid and out of the control of Pelosi and other senior party members.

Could the total upheaval of norms we’re seeing today be a plot to assure Democrats lose ugly in 2020?

After every presidential election, there is that customary public postmortem.

Speaker Pelosi will not accept any blame for a Trump landslide victory. She will not pile on the Democratic National Committee or any party PAC. Democrat Capitol Hill leadership will not assume responsibility for an electoral beat down. Despite any political loss, Pelosi and her party leadership will personally weather any storm so burning down the house will not put them on the street.

However, Democrats might blame a 2020 presidential and down-ballot shellacking on the disastrous messaging from irrational freshmen and call for a more reasoned and traditional agenda for the Democrat Party. Translation: they’ll summarily set the insubordinate children up to be primaried and hopefully banished in 2022.

Seriously, even the staunchest of Democrats weren’t for a job-killing Green New Deal, let alone the violence and destruction associated with #BlackLivesMatter and a George Floyd crisis not wasted. Most Democrat voters aren’t for dismantling police forces around the country. Liberal CEOs, professionals, academics, entertainment celebrities, and other big money donors nationwide are being bit by the millennials’ #CancelCulture and you know whose private phone numbers they have on speed dial.

Maybe the party is giving their socialist know-it-all loudmouths the rope to hang themselves.

And given the media allegiance to the Democrat Party, all these polls implying President Trump being behind by double digits is not a fluke. The Democrat base is being set up for a face plant into the concrete. Look who they’re presenting to their base as the party presidential nominee. A possibly senile old man who really has nothing to lose when it comes to a political career, unlike those whose names are being bandied about. Why do you think it’s taking so long for Joe Biden’s campaign to find a running mate? Who’s going to want that on a resume once the long knives of finger-pointing begins the morning after a Trump landslide?

A mass defection to Donald Trump combined with a depressed party turnout mean Democrats could find themselves in the minority again. Do you really think Nancy Pelosi will accept blame when having to give up the gavel while positioning herself to be Minority Leader? Do you think any of the senior members will decide embracing and publicly justifying socialism, CHOP zones, vandalism and/or removal of monuments, and “mostly peaceful” protests in the streets will be the template for 2022 success?

Do you think they’ll allow themselves to be forced to kneel again… ever?

Washington, D.C. should be renamed to what it’s always been known for: Washington CYA. Specifically, that’s how Democrats become old Democrats.

There will be a concerted effort, should the Election 2020 Democrat ass-whuppin’ be felt from Capitol Hill down through every state legislature, to have a message publicly sent that things will go back to the ways they’ve always been done. Democrats will again want to appear moderate and they’ll promise to go back to their safer default where they can “pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it”.

The media will be directed to turn on The Squad. Their arrogance will be highlighted and replayed in slow motion. Apologies won’t be issued, making matters worse. The inside-the-Beltway establishment will assert their rightful authority, showing no desire to spare the rod. Like the old days, these children will be spanked in the street for all to see.

Not only has the Democrat Party put all their eggs in a basket carried by a man with clear cognitive issues, but now with a woman who was so popular with the base that she was the first to drop out during their presidential primary season.

Some of these celebrities claimed to understand and sympathize with the anger after black neighborhoods were looted and burned during the George Floyd riots. Many of them may be genuine and some may just be a result of publicists earning their pay while the shutdown continues.

But one thing is almost always a consistent: while they advocate and sometimes participate in those “mostly peaceful” protests occurring in areas that may have been looted and/or burned down, there’s an expected zero-tolerance for “mostly peaceful” protests where those celebrities live.

It’s a good guess that the sentiment has reached the highest levels in Beverly Hills and the rich and famous have been reassured their homes will be protected.

NOW as is almost always the case when bad things happen to the elite, it’s become an “emergency”….

This won’t be a white-against-black thing because, by most video accounts, these #BlackLivesMatter protests have been hijacked by the young and white.

Fads are created and promoted in Hollywood, but this is one they don’t like engulfing their homes.

Now that bad things are finally happening to those who’ve polluted the minds of the youth for decades, that’s entertainment!

Simple. Most of us have common sense.

We grew up during a time when we had a parent or parents who drummed into our heads that NOTHING good came from being on the street at night. Most of us remember being told and adhering to being on our way home when the street lights came on. We were home and thereby, didn’t get into any trouble.

But in the event we did encounter the police, rules were passed down by our elders that made sense.

Do not run away from the police. That obviously implies some kind of guilt.

Politely cooperate and under no circumstances mouth off to an officer.

Those two simple rules almost always guaranteed a safe return home that evening, with possibly just a warning from the officer, if that.

Do not try to physically assault and/or injure a police officer.

Do not try to take a police officer’s gun, taser, etc. away from him or her.

Mouthing off to a police officer is bad enough. Assaulting a police officer and actually attempting to go for his or her taser or gun…? Not saying you’d deserve to die for doing that, but it’s an invitation for that cause-and-effect discussion at the least.

How many of those now in the headlines, embraced by #BlackLivesMatter and those who support their cause, have achieved martyr status unnecessarily? Had they observed common sense and not escalated a situation, chances are good they’d still be with us today.

But when we have parents who allow their children to be out late at night (doing God knows what) and they invite a negative police interaction, it’s “systemic racism”.

Many black people continue to live long lives, having little (if any) contact with the police. We consider them the welcome thin blue line protecting us from thugs of all colors. We’ve lived this long because we respect society, other people, and the police.

Common sense.

There’s even a Change.org petition to make Juneteenth a national holiday.

And once there, they hit you up.

Let’s be real here. Prior to the #GeorgeFloyd awakening, VERY FEW Americans even knew Juneteenth existed.

However, one of the consistent traits of the modern, young liberal is the notion that nothing ever existed until it came into their consciousness, so here are some crib notes.

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.  Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. Note that this was two and a half years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation – which had become official January 1, 1863. The Emancipation Proclamation had little impact on the Texans due to the minimal number of Union troops to enforce the new Executive Order. However, with the surrender of General Lee in April of 1865, and the arrival of General Granger’s regiment, the forces were finally strong enough to influence and overcome the resistance.

Of course, the left will NEVER acknowledge who defended and went to war to protect slavery and who ended it.

Juneteenth has been acknowledged annually in the black community but you never saw mainstreaming of the date’s existence until President Trump announced the restart of his 2020 reelection campaign in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Only then was the date’s significance recognized and thereby used as a partisan, political club.

CNN had scant information on the date but on June 16, 2020 they offered a video explanation to their ignorant audience.

As did ABC news on June 19, 2018.

As did Fox News on June 14, 2020.

Al Sharpton did a segment for MSNBC on June 19, 2013. The only problem is the video doesn’t load on their website.

So, the next question should be whether Juneteenth is yet another temporary social media-driven fad that will be “celebrated” like most of historical significance. A paid day off with little-to-no reflection on what that day represents, like Memorial Day, Veterans Day, the Fourth of July, etc….

I say this is a fad because, to be honest, very few in these companies even knew Juneteenth was a day to be remembered and prior to a couple of weeks ago, would EVER think of making it an observed holiday. But now, it’s all about Juneteenth because it’s “trending”.

Like all of the overtures to black people by liberals, the days of acting nice and understanding will wear off. The complaints of racism will return within their circles, will be blown off, and any promises made in the wake of #GeorgeFloyd will be blown off just as Democrats have done to the black community for decades. #Karen will no longer be a viable hashtag.

So, enjoy Juneteenth while you can. Soon it will be a holiday few can explain or spell correctly.

Dear profs X, Y, Z

I am one of your colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley. I have met you both personally but do not know you closely, and am contacting you anonymously, with apologies. I am worried that writing this email publicly might lead to me losing my job, and likely all future jobs in my field.

A genuine concern with documented ramifications when it comes to the perils of objecting to liberal consensus.

In your recent departmental emails you mentioned our pledge to diversity, but I am increasingly alarmed by the absence of diversity of opinion on the topic of the recent protests and our community response to them.

In the extended links and resources you provided, I could not find a single instance of substantial counter-argument or alternative narrative to explain the under-representation of black individuals in academia or their over-representation in the criminal justice system. The explanation provided in your documentation, to the near exclusion of all others, is univariate: the problems of the black community are caused by whites, or, when whites are not physically present, by the infiltration of white supremacy and white systemic racism into American brains, souls, and institutions.

Many cogent objections to this thesis have been raised by sober voices, including from within the black community itself, such as Thomas Sowell and Wilfred Reilly.

Chances are very high many of these so-called intelligent scholars never heard of Thomas Sowell.

These people are not racists or ‘Uncle Toms’. They are intelligent scholars who reject a narrative that strips black people of agency and systematically externalizes the problems of the black community onto outsiders. Their view is entirely absent from the departmental and UCB-wide communiques.

No surprise there.

The claim that the difficulties that the black community faces are entirely causally explained by exogenous factors in the form of white systemic racism, white supremacy, and other forms of white discrimination remains a problematic hypothesis that should be vigorously challenged by historians. Instead, it is being treated as an axiomatic and actionable truth without serious consideration of its profound flaws, or its worrying implication of total black impotence.

This hypothesis is transforming our institution and our culture, without any space for dissent outside of a tightly policed, narrow discourse.

And that’s how petty, narrow-minded liberals want it as true debate, involving facts, trigger them into name-calling hysterics.

A counternarrative exists. If you have time, please consider examining some of the documents I attach at the end of this email. Overwhelmingly, the reasoning provided by BLM and allies is either primarily anecdotal (as in the case with the bulk of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ undeniably moving article) or it is transparently motivated. As an example of the latter problem, consider the proportion of black incarcerated Americans. This proportion is often used to characterize the criminal justice system as anti-black. However, if we use the precise same methodology, we would have to conclude that the criminal justice system is even more anti-male than it is anti-black.

Would we characterize criminal justice as a systemically misandrist conspiracy against innocent American men? I hope you see that this type of reasoning is flawed, and requires a significant suspension of our rational faculties. Black people are not incarcerated at higher rates than their involvement in violent crime would predict. This fact has been demonstrated multiple times across multiple jurisdictions in multiple countries. And yet, I see my department uncritically reproducing a narrative that diminishes black agency in favor of a white-centric explanation that appeals to the department’s apparent desire to shoulder the ‘white man’s burden’ and to promote a narrative of white guilt.

While white liberals are going out of their way to be considerate of black people in conjunction with the latest George Floyd fad, how long before they go back to normal?

If we claim that the criminal justice system is white-supremacist, why is it that Asian Americans, Indian Americans, and Nigerian Americans are incarcerated at vastly lower rates than white Americans?

That is a common sense question that tends to be conveniently dismissed as a straw man argument.

This is a funny sort of white supremacy. Even Jewish Americans are incarcerated less than gentile whites. I think it’s fair to say that your average white supremacist disapproves of Jews. And yet, these alleged white supremacists incarcerate gentiles at vastly higher rates than Jews. None of this is addressed in your literature. None of this is explained, beyond hand-waving and ad hominems. “Those are racist dogwhistles”. “The model minority myth is white supremacist”.

“Only fascists talk about black-on-black crime”, ad nauseam. These types of statements do not amount to counterarguments: they are simply arbitrary offensive classifications, intended to silence and oppress discourse. Any serious historian will recognize these for the silencing orthodoxy tactics they are, common to suppressive regimes, doctrines, and religions throughout time and space. They are intended to crush real diversity and permanently exile the culture of robust criticism from our department.

Increasingly, we are being called upon to comply and subscribe to BLM’s problematic view of history, and the department is being presented as unified on the matter. In particular, ethnic minorities are being aggressively marshaled into a single position. Any apparent unity is surely a function of the fact that dissent could almost certainly lead to expulsion or cancellation for those of us in a precarious position, which is no small number.

According to the left, since we all look alike, we’re supposed to think alike and as they so authorize.

I personally don’t dare speak out against the BLM narrative, and with this barrage of alleged unity being mass-produced by the administration, tenured professoriat, the UC administration, corporate America, and the media, the punishment for dissent is a clear danger at a time of widespread economic vulnerability. I am certain that if my name were attached to this email, I would lose my job and all future jobs, even though I believe in and can justify every word I type.

As have many who dared ask any questions about #BlackLivesMatter’s motives and actions.

The vast majority of violence visited on the black community is committed by black people.

Fact.

There are virtually no marches for these invisible victims, no public silences, no heartfelt letters from the UC regents, deans, and departmental heads. The message is clear: Black lives only matter when whites take them. Black violence is expected and insoluble, while white violence requires explanation and demands solution. Please look into your hearts and see how monstrously bigoted this formulation truly is.

Good luck with that.

No discussion is permitted for nonblack victims of black violence, who proportionally outnumber black victims of nonblack violence. This is especially bitter in the Bay Area, where Asian victimization by black assailants has reached epidemic proportions, to the point that the SF police chief has advised Asians to stop hanging good-luck charms on their doors, as this attracts the attention of (overwhelmingly black) home invaders.

Here’s where truth becomes problematic.

Home invaders like George Floyd. For this actual, lived, physically experienced reality of violence in the USA, there are no marches, no tearful emails from departmental heads, no support from McDonald’s and Wal-Mart. For the History department, our silence is not a mere abrogation of our duty to shed light on the truth: it is a rejection of it.

There have been zero documented marches by #BlackLivesMatter for any of the dozens who are injured or killed by black-on-black gun violence that occurs in major metropolitan cities on any given weekend in the United States, and we all know why that is.

The claim that black intraracial violence is the product of redlining, slavery, and other injustices is a largely historical claim.

It is for historians, therefore, to explain why Japanese internment or the massacre of European Jewry hasn’t led to equivalent rates of dysfunction and low SES performance among Japanese and Jewish Americans respectively. Arab Americans have been viciously demonized since 9/11, as have Chinese Americans more recently. However, both groups outperform white Americans on nearly all SES indices – as do Nigerian Americans, who incidentally have black skin. It is for historians to point out and discuss these anomalies. However, no real discussion is possible in the current climate at our department. The explanation is provided to us, disagreement with it is racist, and the job of historians is to further explore additional ways in which the explanation is additionally correct. This is a mockery of the historical profession.

No real discussion was had prior to this recent provocation and expect none in the near future, if at all. At least by the left.

Now, here’s where the gut punches begin….

Most troublingly, our department appears to have been entirely captured by the interests of the Democratic National Convention, and the Democratic Party more broadly. To explain what I mean, consider what happens if you choose to donate to Black Lives Matter, an organization UCB History has explicitly promoted in its recent mailers. All donations to the official BLM website are immediately redirected to ActBlue Charities, an organization primarily concerned with bankrolling election campaigns for Democrat candidates. Donating to BLM today is to indirectly donate to Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign. This is grotesque given the fact that the American cities with the worst rates of black-on-black violence and police-on-black violence are overwhelmingly Democrat-run. Minneapolis itself has been entirely in the hands of Democrats for over five decades; the ‘systemic racism’ there was built by successive Democrat administrations.

The patronizing and condescending attitudes of Democrat leaders towards the black community, exemplified by nearly every Biden statement on the black race, all but guarantee a perpetual state of misery, resentment, poverty, and the attendant grievance politics which are simultaneously annihilating American political discourse and black lives. And yet, donating to BLM is bankrolling the election campaigns of men like Mayor Frey, who saw their cities devolve into violence. This is a grotesque capture of a good-faith movement for necessary police reform, and of our department, by a political party.

An acknowledgement of the hypocrisy, thus failure of the Democrat plantation perpetually unrewarded.

Even worse, there are virtually no avenues for dissent in academic circles. I refuse to serve the Party, and so should you. The total alliance of major corporations involved in human exploitation with BLM should be a warning flag to us, and yet this damning evidence goes unnoticed, purposefully ignored, or perversely celebrated. We are the useful idiots of the wealthiest classes, carrying water for Jeff Bezos and other actual, real, modern-day slavers. Starbucks, an organisation using literal black slaves in its coffee plantation suppliers, is in favor of BLM. Sony, an organisation using cobalt mined by yet more literal black slaves, many of whom are children, is in favor of BLM. And so, apparently, are we. The absence of counter-narrative enables this obscenity. Fiat lux, indeed.

Just witness the shallow overtures by the Hollywood elite; arm-in-arm with the “mostly peaceful” #BlackLivesMatter George Floyd protests… that is, until they get a wee too close to Beverly Hills. Then all means to redirect, by those dreaded police, are silently approved of.

There also exists a large constituency of what can only be called ‘race hustlers’: hucksters of all colors who benefit from stoking the fires of racial conflict to secure administrative jobs, charity management positions, academic jobs and advancement, or personal political entrepreneurship.

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Shaun King, DeRay Mckesson, Angela Rye, Reverend William J. Barber II, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch… the list is long.

Given the direction our history department appears to be taking far from any commitment to truth, we can regard ourselves as a formative training institution for this brand of snake-oil salespeople. Their activities are corrosive, demolishing any hope at harmonious racial coexistence in our nation and colonizing our political and institutional life. Many of their voices are unironically segregationist.

MLK would likely be called an Uncle Tom if he spoke on our campus today. We are training leaders who intend, explicitly, to destroy one of the only truly successful ethnically diverse societies in modern history. As the PRC, an ethnonationalist and aggressively racially chauvinist national polity with null immigration and no concept of jus solis increasingly presents itself as the global political alternative to the US, I ask you: Is this wise? Are we really doing the right thing?

No, but they’ll gladly take student tuition money while committing gross educational misconduct.

Now, here’s what could get this black professor fired on the spot….

As a final point, our university and department has made multiple statements celebrating and eulogizing George Floyd. Floyd was a multiple felon who once held a pregnant black woman at gunpoint. He broke into her home with a gang of men and pointed a gun at her pregnant stomach. He terrorized the women in his community. He sired and abandoned multiple children, playing no part in their support or upbringing, failing one of the most basic tests of decency for a human being. He was a drug-addict and sometime drug-dealer, a swindler who preyed upon his honest and hard-working neighbors.

And yet, the regents of UC and the historians of the UCB History department are celebrating this violent criminal, elevating his name to virtual sainthood. A man who hurt women. A man who hurt black women. With the full collaboration of the UCB history department, corporate America, most mainstream media outlets, and some of the wealthiest and most privileged opinion-shaping elites of the USA, he has become a culture hero, buried in a golden casket, his (recognized) family showered with gifts and praise. Americans are being socially pressured into kneeling for this violent, abusive misogynist. A generation of black men are being coerced into identifying with George Floyd, the absolute worst specimen of our race and species. I’m ashamed of my department. I would say that I’m ashamed of both of you, but perhaps you agree with me, and are simply afraid, as I am, of the backlash of speaking the truth. It’s hard to know what kneeling means, when you have to kneel to keep your job.

The left has long history of being apologists for the worst in our society. Robert Byrd, Harvey Weinstein (until he became inconvenient), Roman Polanski, including any black person with a less-than-stellar past who had a fatal run-in with the police and became the martyr-du-jour.

It shouldn’t affect the strength of my argument above, but for the record, I write as a person of color. My family have been personally victimized by men like Floyd. We are aware of the condescending depredations of the Democrat party against our race. The humiliating assumption that we are too stupid to do STEM, that we need special help and lower requirements to get ahead in life, is richly familiar to us. I sometimes wonder if it wouldn’t be easier to deal with open fascists, who at least would be straightforward in calling me a subhuman, and who are unlikely to share my race.

Bleeding heart liberals are the most condescending people in our society, especially when it comes to their low expectations of black people.

The ever-present soft bigotry of low expectations and the permanent claim that the solutions to the plight of my people rest exclusively on the goodwill of whites rather than on our own hard work is psychologically devastating.

Few of the UC Berkeley professoriate can relate to the way their black colleagues live because they seldom go to an impoverished area and interact with those whose plight they lament with scholarly conviction.

No other group in America is systematically demoralized in this way by its alleged allies. A whole generation of black children are being taught that only by begging and weeping and screaming will they get handouts from guilt-ridden whites.

Just look at the way black history has been whitewashed and rewritten by the Democrat left so they can further imprison a whole people, just for their unrewarded vote.

No message will more surely devastate their futures, especially if whites run out of guilt, or indeed if America runs out of whites. If this had been done to Japanese Americans, or Jewish Americans, or Chinese Americans, then Chinatown and Japantown would surely be no different to the roughest parts of Baltimore and East St. Louis today. The History department of UCB is now an integral institutional promulgator of a destructive and denigrating fallacy about the black race.

And has been for decades. This will not change any time soon.

I hope you appreciate the frustration behind this message. I do not support BLM.

I do not support the Democrat grievance agenda and the Party’s uncontested capture of our department. I do not support the Party co-opting my race, as Biden recently did in his disturbing interview, claiming that voting Democrat and being black are isomorphic.

I condemn the manner of George Floyd’s death and join you in calling for greater police accountability and police reform. However, I will not pretend that George Floyd was anything other than a violent misogynist, a brutal man who met a predictably brutal end.

I also want to protect the practice of history. Cleo is no grovelling handmaiden to politicians and corporations. Like us, she is free. /end

Again, blacks are the only group in the United States that are denied freedom of political association, freedom of thought, and freedom of choice. Colleges used to actively promote themselves as a place that embraced “the free exchange of ideas”.

If you’re black, expressing a point of view not authorized by the Democrat left can cost you dearly.

Ask those of us who know.

The elites sanction policies for Americans; policies they find ways to exempt or shield themselves from. For example, they imposed Obamacare on the nation but the very Capitol Hill legislators and staff who wrote it inserted a means so their health care premiums would be largely subsidized by taxpayers. During the COVID-19 #shutdown, federal and local government elected and employees kept their personal paychecks coming in while they ordered businesses closed and employees laid off, losing any and all income.

Now we have the sophistry that is #DefundThePolice. Supposedly this is to stop police brutality in poor, minority communities where crime is rampant. Of course, #DefundThePolice will not be a clarion call in neighborhoods where the special people live….

Maybe social workers should’ve been sent to Northeast DC instead of police. That would surely calm and assure the neighbors.

Police officers around the country are being demoralized in many major metropolitan cities but in an enclave like Beverly Hills, any means necessary (including tear gas) will be used to make sure “mostly peaceful” protesters don’t get anywhere near the homes of the rich and famous.

Despite numerous examples, going back years, of young whites damaging public and private property during protests, professional news outlets have done everything possible to make the violence that routine ensues after a deadly police interaction a black reaction.

Not so in Atlanta after the shooting of Rayshard Brooks….

So, the loser #Antifa-loving wing of the white community has infiltrated and found joy in destroying businesses in the black community while the on-air impressions given to their viewers is that this is exclusively black-on-black destruction. For example on CNN’s YouTube channel, there is no followup offered to their reporting that the person who burned the Wendy’s in Atlanta was a white woman despite the images aired of blacks running in and out of that same restaurant prior to the arson. Why that would be?

Did the woman who started that fire go back to a nice, safe, policed area of town, devoid of a significant population of black people; a neighborhood that welcomes the same police who keeps her home and area safe?

Try asking those Hollywood celebrities who have no problem publicly supporting and participating in “mostly peaceful”… in someone else’s neighborhood.

Such frustration finally boiled over.

As looters were ransacking businesses throughout the city more than a week ago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Ald. Raymond Lopez (15th Ward), one of her harshest critics, engaged in an angry and foul-mouthed argument over the city’s handling of the widespread violence.

During a conference call with all 50 aldermen on May 31 to discuss the city’s response to the looting, Lopez accused the mayor of being unprepared when looting spread from downtown to the neighborhoods that weekend.

Remember this when people who oppose this progressive anarchy are called every possible pejorative while the progressive, Democrat-elected, defending the rioters and looters, demand we all show civility and engage in constructive dialogue.
