The left is in hysterics because Kavanaugh could be a deciding vote on the SCOTUS bench should abortion reappear on the docket, and he was smeared with false rape accusations. What does that have in common with the abortion topic? Because the only reason why abortion made it to the Supreme Court was because a woman, who claimed to be “gang raped”, wanted and couldn’t get one easily.

The year was 1969. Norma McCorvey was 22, pregnant and unwed when she approached an attorney about wanting an abortion. The Dallas woman didn’t get one, but four years later, her lawsuit fighting Texas’ ban on abortion reached the Supreme Court and made the procedure legal across the United States.

“Miss Norma” was a complicated figure in the abortion debate. McCorvey, who once identified as lesbian, admitted that she had lied about being gang-raped so she could end her pregnancy.

It sure was “complicated”.

During those times, there were morals and standards in the United States. Being unmarried and knocked-up was not as socially acceptable and enabled as it is today. There was a stigma and using the “rape” card provided the appropriate cover and absolution from personal responsibility.

It’s not clear who specifically McCorvey accused but the aftermath is now well known. The Supreme Court found the existing anti-abortion laws to be unconstitutional, women subsequently got the right to have abortions on demand, and millions of babies are killed in the womb to this day… all because of a lie.

Sarah Weddington, the Austin, Texas, lawyer who represented McCorvey, told United Press International Tuesday, ‘The issue of how Jane Roe became pregnant is irrelevant to the case. There was nothing in any of the papers filed with the court or in any of the oral arguments made that related to the cause of the pregnancy.’

A woman lies about a rape. A political goal is met.

McCorvey told syndicated newspaper columnist Carl T. Rowan that she had fabricated her account of being raped by three men and a woman in 1969 because she had hoped to circumvent a 100-year-old Texas law that banned abortions except when the woman’s life was in danger. The transcript of the interview doesn’t make clear why Ms. McCorvey thought that an account of rape would necessarily help win exemption from, or overturn, a law that allowed abortion only to protect a woman’s life.

“I don’t know” is probably the most overused response when someone is asked why they made a false rape accusation.

According to a news release issued by WUSA about the interview, Sarah Weddington, one of the two lawyers who took the case to the Supreme Court, said she had never “touched the issue of rape and only emphasized the question of whether the Constitution gives to the state or leaves to a woman the questions of what she can or must do with her body.”

Telling the truth, heaven forbid, might have poked an ethical hole in the case.

Kate Michelman, executive director of the National Abortion Rights Action League, said in an interview today that Ms. McCorvey’s disclosure ”should not cloud the discussion about the right of a woman to terminate her pregnancy. “It was her life circumstances that created the conditions that mitigated against her being straightforward….”

McCorvey was the “anonymous plaintiff” in the landmark case that made it to the Supreme Court and there was no written mention of her being “raped” in the lawsuit. That aided in her not having to testify under oath.

How convenient and, again, familiar.

While rape was never an issue in the case, public opinion was considered swayed by the media accounts detailing what McCorvey claimed was a gang rape by three men and a woman while she worked for a circus in Georgia.

Imagine the public opinion had there been a 24-hour media and Internet oh-so ready to repeat her lie. McCorvey would be ready with tears-on-cue, playing on the emotions of the public, invoking the horrors of rape, and getting a high court to create a “right” superseding and thus denying “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” to millions of children who never made it out of their mothers alive.

Yes, there are those today who forgave Norma McCorvey. She was baptized and went on a crusade, mostly ignored by the liberal media, to inform the American people of the lie that created “Roe vs. Wade”. But the damage was done and a false rape accusation sanctioned the wholesale slaughter of millions of American children.

McCorvey may have sought some semblance of redemption before her judgment day, but she is no hero and today another false accusation of rape has been used as abortion-on-demand could soon be at risk for the left and all the nonprofits that have made millions of dollars promoting the killing of more than 60 million babies in the United States alone, almost a third (18 million) alone black.

Norma McCorvey was quietly eulogized by the left when she died in 2017; she was a heroine because of her abortion achievement while the lie that got her there was omitted for convenience.

She was also a heroine, eulogized by the right, as she turned on the pro-choice movement.

The Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation process has brought two very evil topics into the public light. One being abortion and the other false rape accusations.

And in both cases, liberal Democrats would have you believe neither are big deals at all.

She engaged in a photo shoot that depicted the severed head of the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, there was an almost immediate firestorm, she was fired from CNN, lost her live engagement contracts, lost her jobs with toilet product company Squatty Potty and the USO, and now it’s not because of what she did.

It’s because she insulted the president and that’s now a terminable offence, at least that’s what she and her attorney, Lisa Bloom, are using as a way to also cast her as America’s latest victim.

A lawyer for comedian Kathy Griffin indicated Friday that she doesn’t believe President Trump’s son Barron was traumatized after he saw a picture of Griffin holding a prop that looked like his father’s severed head on television.

“Allegedly,” Lisa Bloom said when asked about reports that Barron was disturbed by the image. “We don’t know that. You’re assuming that everything that Trump says is true, and in fact, we know that many things Trump says is false.”

Well, until we hear the recordings of the so-called “death threats” Bloom said Griffin claims to have been received, the same doubt can be had. And despite the charges claimed, Kathy Griffin is neither being silenced or censored. Her problem is that some people are done paying to hear what she says and she’s bummed she’s no longer Constitutionally entitled to be paid.

Bloom added: “The message is clear: make fun of the President and lose your job. And that’s what’s happened to Kathy, and more. As a result of the First Family’s bullying of her, and those she does business with, Kathy has been vilified, received many death threats, had her personal website and social media channels shut down, been fired from multiple jobs, and had several events cancelled.

“She has had to retain a criminal attorney. For the first time in history that we are aware of, the President of the United States and his family has personally attempted to ruin a comedian. This has been a living nightmare for Kathy.”

Okay, this may be a first for a comedian. Seriously, it’s not like making negative comments about a president has never cost someone their job. It has, and since it was against a Democrat president, it didn’t take long to find an examples that directly refutes Gloria Allred’s daughter’s stupid claim, and here’s a high profile one.

Rodner Figueroa, an Emmy Award-winning host and presenter, was fired by the Spanish-language network for remarks he made on-air Wednesday. Figueroa asserted in a statement released Thursday that Univision was contacted by the first lady’s office.

Whoops. And let’s not forget that back in 2008, comedians were kinda’ hesitant to joke about “The One”.

Comedic respect for the president and the office; restraint? Who woulda’ thunk.

One could even speculate that everyone working on Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing”, a show with as many digs against liberals and Obama as almost every other entertainment medium digs against Republicans, lost their jobs because of the low tolerance threshold of ABC’s first-black president and maybe a complaint or two from someone who may have a direct phone number.

The comedy excuse is all the left has when it comes to justifying their vile attacks on the right in the comfort of friendly venues.

The bit I did about Palin using the word “cunt”, one of the biggest laughs in my act, I did it all over the country, not one person ever registered disapproval, and believe me, audiences are not afraid to let you know. Because it was a routine where that word came in at just the right moment. Context is very important, and it’s also important to remember that stand-up comedy is the final frontier of free speech.

Let’s be real; the majority of comics in this country are liberal, thus their comments about a Democrat president have been muted in comparison on how they’ve gone after Republicans. Bill Maher still has a job after calling Sarah Palin a “cunt”, and maybe that’s the real issue: white males can get away with much more with few, if any, repercussions in liberal Hollywood. Males get away with sexual abuse and battery and still have their multi-million dollar acting gigs. Women are kicked to the curb when they stray and receive little backing from their employers; ask Amy Pascal.

The biggest tragedy in this whole thing is not just Kathy Griffin now blaming the Trump family for the audacity of bullying HER, but also the fact we’ll now have to deal with another generation of Hollywood-attention-chasing Allreds. Do you think Kathy Griffin first called Lisa Bloom or do you think Lisa Bloom first contacted Kathy Griffin and now look at what we’ve got.

Bloom is a “civil rights attorney” and Griffin is looking for martyr status.

Outside of the Allred family bank account, these things seldom end well.

Sex scandals as news never lose their appeal and the women involved are never opportunists or sexual predators that are trying to capitalize from a sexual encounter with a famous, wealthy or socially well-connected man.

We’re being inundated with women bringing new allegations of Cosby drugging them and having varying degrees of sexual contact with them. They’re all claiming to be victims, have (in some cases) hired a well-known litigious opportunist whose baggage may or may not add skepticism to the claims.

Let’s looks at some inconvenient truths the politically correct are two wimpy to espouse.

1. It’s not been alleged that Bill Cosby pulled a Bill Clinton and had any of these women summoned to be in his presence in the first place. They voluntarily inserted themselves into a private setting with a man they didn’t know. Most of us wouldn’t allow our daughters to put themselves in a similar situation, but in some cases, these women also lied about their ages to gain entrance and access.

2. If Cosby committed “rape” as was alleged, where are all the police reports? Why didn’t (those who haven’t settled out of court) they race to the Beverly Hills Police Department and report it? There were rape kits back in those days. Had any one of those victims of “rape” filed ONE complaint, those who were subsequently “raped” by Bill Cosby would have been spared the trauma. The case could be made that those who decided to remain silent until now were enablers, and/or accessories.

3. Why did they seek to gain access to Bill Cosby? It’s obvious they were hoping for some head-of-the-line privilege to gain entertainment industry fame and fortune. They may have believed someone of Cosby’s stature could make one phone call to the right person which would light the fuse.

It’s clear they were wrong.

4. It’s estimated that Bill Cosby’s net worth is estimated at around $400 million. If you’re someone whose career didn’t pan out as dreamt, one last attempt at a payday could be considered incentive. Then again, Allred added a potentially profitable wrinkle into the mix….

Gloria Allred challenged the performer Wednesday to put $100 million in a fund for his accusers and let a panel of retired judges determine the truth about the claims.

Minus the customary 30%…

Allred made the proposal at a news conference at her Los Angeles law office, where she said it was too late for most of the women who recently came forward to sue because the alleged incidents were from decades ago.

The attorney called on Cosby to either set aside the money or agree to waive the statute of limitations as a legal defense, which would allow the women to pursue lawsuits against him.

If any of us attempted such a maneuver, it would most likely be construed as extortion. When a feminist, opportunist lawyer does the same, it’s called “strategy”.

As evidenced by the recent false charges issued by women against men on campus, when an allegation is made one side is automatically believed and they’re invited to publicly repeat their accusation knowing the other side is rightfully muzzled by their attorneys.

Tears are also a nice touch….

5. Sexual predators continue to commit crimes until they’re stopped, however it appears there’s been quite a lull in Bill Cosby’s recent sexual predator activities.

6. Rape, traditionally, occurs in one incident. Have any of you out there heard of a case where a rape occurred at different places at different times?

My name is Barbara Bowman, and I wanted to tell my story in court. In the end, I didn’t have the opportunity to do that, because Cosby settled the suit for an undisclosed amount of money.

Obviously for not enough….

In one case, I blacked out after having dinner and one glass of wine at his New York City brownstone, where he had offered to mentor me and discuss the entertainment industry. But as a teenager, I tried to convince myself I had imagined it. I even tried to rationalize it: Bill Cosby was going to make me a star and this was part of the deal. The final incident was in Atlantic City, where we had traveled for an industry event.

Bowman seems to have summed it up best for all of the Cosby women. She wanted to be made a star and spreading her legs to get there was clearly on the table. When Cosby was found out not to have that kind of clout, the women felt used and wanted their pound of flesh.

7. Why aren’t the Hollywood men rushing to Cosby’s defense? Could it be there are a lot more women out there who’d probably come out of the shadows and accuse them of the same thing? Just something to think about, and Bill Cosby must be really annoyed at the fact Hugh Hefner has turned on him, seeing how the introductions and “meetings” with some of these women occurred in or around the Playboy Mansion.

8. Hollywood is a small town and while this is a national story, in Los Angeles it’s local news. If Cosby was this crazed bug-eyed rapist on the prowl, it would been know within the industry and responsible women would’ve avoided him like Hepatitis C. For some reason, the word hadn’t gotten around so he was either Hollywood’s best kept secret, OR women gravitated and gave themselves to him sexually for the potential of fame and everything that comes with it.

9. You know this question must be asked, especially given the left’s sensitivities: why is a black man being publicly targeted and thus tarred for something we all know dozens of white male celebrities have done for decades?

While it’s easy to be cowed into taking the safe “Cosby is a rapist” position, common sense dictates these women were in fame-at-all-costs mode and didn’t get the bang from the buck. They’re now angry that the bar’s been lowered today and many young women with questionable talent have climbed the ladder to fame and fortune while the old and wrinkled have been left behind rather broke.

Again, Bill Cosby is no innocent victim here. His philandering past has caught up to him with a vengeance, but we’ve been told how we should see all of this, especially within the confines of his marriage and public opinion.

It’s clear the one thing that will make this all go away (at least until more women decide to bare their souls) is a check. A big check.

How big will be determined by Gloria Allred, the Cosby women vs. the truth.

Laura’s note: As a woman, I find it very difficult to believe that Cosby’s accusers could say “rape” and “sexual assault”, when they voluntarily met or accompanied him to the bedroom. None of the women claim that they were kidnapped by Bill Cosby, their motives and loose morals ignored, he is the predator.

And the most recent example of a predatory woman is so-called rapper Cardi B.

After a video surfaced of Cardi B admitting to robbing and drugging men, the singer is explaining herself.

Why don’t these people realize nothing goes away just because you want it to and it makes you look really bad when you’re caught removing the inconvenient.

“So I’m seeing on social media that [an Instagram] live I did 3 years ago has popped back up. A live where I talked about things I had to do in my past right or wrong that I felt I needed to do to make a living,” she wrote in a post on Tuesday. “I never claim (sic) to be perfect or come from a perfect world wit (sic) a perfect past I always speak my truth I always own my shit.”
