It was used as a visual aid during Al Gore’s propaganda piece “An Inconvenient Truth”; the only problem is that was yet another simple case of garbage in, garbage out.

Mann’s “hockey stick” graph, first published in 1998, was featured prominently in the U.N. IPCC 2001 climate report. The graph showed a spike in global average temperature in the 20th Century after about 500 years of stability. Skeptics have long claimed Mann’s graph was fraudulent.

Climate change skeptic Dr. Tim Ball called Mann out and as we all know, liberals have no sense of humor when they’re the butt of the joke.

Professor Mann is a climate professor at Penn State University. Mann filed his action in 2010 for Ball’s allegedly libelous statement that Mann “belongs in the state pen, not Penn State.”

After years of lawsuits, bolstered by years of Mann’s failure and/or reluctance to offer his hockey stick-climate change research into a courtroom for scrutiny, his case was finally thrown out of court and Mann was required to pay Dr. Ball’s court costs. In reality, this is a VERY big deal, given the media, activist, political craziness that essentially arose from bad data.

In 2003 a Canadian study showed the “hockey stick” curve “is primarily an artifact of poor data handling, obsolete data and incorrect calculation of principal components.” When the data was corrected it showed a warm period in the 15th Century that exceeded the warmth of the 20th Century.

Whoops.

And Dr. Ball’s victory was not just a monetary price paid….

His gift to the world was sacrificing eight of his senior years, when he could have been enjoying his retirement, to exposing key players in the biggest science fraud of all time.

How huge is this really?

Given the near total blackout of media coverage on this lawsuit resolution, like the Trump-Russia-collusion hoax, some people will never admit they were wrong, especially when millions of taxpayer dollars in the form of education and research grants are at stake. Let’s not even include the political rhetoric surrounding all things “climate change”. Too many people, colleges, laboratories, and activist dot orgs have much to lose should the world ever come to grips with the fact that a disproportionate few are eating quite well off lies.

Let’s not forget, “climate change” was instituted in the 90’s after “global warming” replaced “global cooling” in the 80’s since the planet defiantly stopped burning up as the activists declared it would. “Climate change” is a great all-encompassing, easy-to-recite term since the weather always… changes.

We all know that throwing political opposition in jail is a tried-and-true tactic used by socialists, and that’s far preferable and easier to actually having to be knowledgeable on the topic at hand.

Don’t you wish Al Gore would be selected to participate in a debate so the easily-duped could see just how over-his-head he is and how much he really never knew?

How convenient.

You have to admit, the climate change topic continues to bring out the stupid in many.

And the intentionally deceptive in others….

This topic has also shown just how much those who claim to be “for the planet” care so little about people, especially people of color.

Unfortunately, the following could be considered a potential trailer for a political comedy.

It will be interesting to see which television channels and/or networks pass on the opportunity to air this debate and the pre and post debate programming that will be used as disclaimers to protect the panicked, lying warmers and their sugar daddies.

He’s about to be called on the carpet and his answers are going to be very interesting, that is, if he doesn’t plead the Fifth.

Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) today asked the Obama administration to investigate what he called “the greatest scientific scandal of our generation” — the actions of climate scientists revealed by the Climategate Files, and the subsequent admissions by the editors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report (AR4).

Senator Inhofe also called for former Vice President Al Gore to be called back to the Senate to testify.

“In his science fiction movie, every assertion has been rebutted,” Inhofe said. He believes Vice President Gore should defend himself and his movie before Congress.

Stock up on the popcorn, folks.

Just prior to a hearing at 10:00 a.m. EST, Senator Inhofe released a minority staff report from the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, of which he is ranking member. Senator Inhofe is asking the Department of Justice to investigate whether there has been research misconduct or criminal actions by the scientists involved, including Dr. Michael Mann of Pennsylvania State University and Dr. James Hansen of Columbia University and the NASA Goddard Institute of Space Science.

Since the Climategate Files were released, the IPCC has been forced to retract a number of specific conclusions — such as a prediction that Himalayan glaciers would disappear by 2035 — and has been forced to confirm that the report was based in large part on reports from environmental activist groups instead of peer-reviewed scientific literature. Dr. Murari Lal, an editor of the IPCC AR4 report, admitted to the London Daily Mail that he had known the 2035 date was false, but was included in the report anyway “purely to put political pressure on world leaders.”

Based on this Minority Staff report, Senator Inhofe will be calling for an investigation into potential research misconduct and possible criminal acts by the researchers involved. At the same time, Inhofe will ask the Environmental Protection Agency to reopen its consideration of an Endangerment Finding for carbon dioxide as a pollutant under the Federal Clean Air Act, and will ask Congress to withdraw funding for further consideration of carbon dioxide as a pollutant.

While this may be the scam of the century, one of the co-conspirators should be the media (not Fox News) who failed to cover this, and teachers who blindly echoed the falsehoods. They were the usual cheerleaders, perpetuating false claims that sent sobbing elementary school children to bed with nightmares, adding a bogus movie to the school curriculum for mandatory viewing, created teenaged and college-aged activists, and seldom acknowledged their position could be questioned, even after the ClimateGate revelations.

The whole lot should be thrown in jail at the most, fired at the least.

As for Senator Inhofe, kudos to a politician that stood up to squealing environmentalists, Hollywood, lying scientists and academics because in the end, he was right and those doing wrong have been exposed.

Now the hard part: getting President Obama to admit HE was wrong.
