‘Obama Boulevard’ is a well-deserved honor for the scandal-free president

Let’s put aside the many issues that have harmed Americans’ health care access, the unconstitutional assassinations of American citizens overseas and more, a border crisis resulting in the injury and/or deaths at the hands of those who should never have been allowed to enter our country in the first place; there’s one issue in particular that’s been denied to have had any real significance but has cost many innocent lives.

OPERATION FAST AND FURIOUS

Despite the misgivings of those approached by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents, local gun shop owners were told to sell guns, but not require the strict requirements American citizens are forced to abide by.

In the fall of 2009, ATF agents installed a secret phone line and hidden cameras in a ceiling panel and wall at Andre Howard’s Lone Wolf gun store. They gave him one basic instruction: Sell guns to every illegal purchaser who walks through the door. For 15 months, Howard did as he was told. To customers with phony IDs or wads of cash he normally would have turned away, he sold pistols, rifles and semiautomatics. He was assured by the ATF that they would follow the guns, and that the surveillance would lead the agents to the violent Mexican drug cartels on the Southwest border.

When Howard heard nothing about any arrests, he questioned the agents. Keep selling, they told him. So hundreds of thousands of dollars more in weapons, including .50-caliber sniper rifles, walked out of the front door of his store in a Glendale, Ariz., strip mall.

He was making a lot of money. But he also feared somebody was going to get hurt.

No big deal as long as the political objective was met (whatever that was, ‘gun control’?)….

After months of pretending that “Fast and Furious” was a botched surveillance operation of illegal gun-running spearheaded by the ATF and the US attorney’s office in Phoenix, it turns out that the government itself was selling guns to the bad guys. Agent John Dodson was ordered to buy four Draco pistols for cash and even got a letter from his supervisor, David Voth, authorizing a federally licensed gun dealer to sell him the guns without bothering about the necessary paperwork.

On orders, Dodson then sold the guns to known criminals, who first stashed them away and then — deliberately unhindered by the ATF or any other agency — whisked them off to Mexico. People were killed with Fast and Furious weapons, including at least two American agents and hundreds of Mexicans. And the taxpayers picked up the bill.

At a cost policy makers could seemingly care less about.

High-powered assault weapons illegally purchased under the ATF’s Fast and Furious program in Phoenix ended up in a home belonging to the purported top Sinaloa cartel enforcer in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, whose organization was terrorizing that city with the worst violence in the Mexican drug wars. Forty of the weapons made it across the border and into the arsenal of Jose Antonio Torres Marrufo, a feared cartel leader in Ciudad Juarez, according to federal court records and trace documents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

“These Fast and Furious guns were going to Sinaloans, and they are killing everyone down there,” said one knowledgeable U.S. government source, who asked for anonymity because of the ongoing investigations. “But that’s only how many we know came through Texas. Hundreds more had to get through.”

Another weapon from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agency’s controversial Operation Fast and Furious was recently recovered at a Mexican crime scene, CBS News has learned. Congressional investigators say the crime scene was likely where a recent shootout took place between reported Sinaloa drug cartel members and the Mexican military, in which Sinaloa beauty queen Maria Susana Flores Gamez and four others were killed.

Even the lives of Americans are of scant value as long as the politics remain intact.

One of the prime suspects in the murder of a member of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Special Agent Jaime Zapata, and the attempted slaying of his partner, Special Agent Victor Avila was extradited to the United States by the Mexican government for his part in the drug-cartel’s ambush. U.S. Department of Justice officials said that although 34-year-old Jose Emanuel Garcia Sota (a/k/a Juan Manuel Maldonado Amezcua, Zafado or Safado), of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, had been charged on May 6, 2013, he made his second U.S. court appearance on Friday more than two years later. The case is believed to have been linked to the botched Fast and Furious operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

And while the nation was whipped into a diversionary political correct protection of Muslims, an inconvenient element received little media coverage.

A gunman killed during his attack on an Islamic prophet Muhammad art show in Garland, Texas, reportedly bought a pistol through a botched federal firearm sting. Nadir Soofi bought a 9-mm pistol at a Phoenix gun shop in 2010, one report said, that sold illegal firearms through ATF’s heavily criticized Operation Fast and Furious to track firearms back to Mexican drug cartels.

The House Oversight Committee let loose with a scathing assessment of Eric Holder in a recent report, accusing the Barack Obama-era attorney general of outright misleading Congress on its investigation of the “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal.

And get this. Among the report’s 300 pages is the committee’s finding that Holder regarded the family of murdered Border Patrol agent Brian Terry as a “nuisance.”

Three White House officials were told about the existence of a gun trafficking investigation in Arizona that led to the replacement of the administration’s top firearms official, according to newly disclosed e-mails the Justice Department sent to Congress this week. But the e-mails do not contain any discussion of the tactics of the investigation — called Operation Fast and Furious — that have made it the subject of a heated Congressional inquiry.

One aspect of their inquiry has been an effort to identify any high-level Obama administration official who sanctioned or knew about the investigative tactics used in Fast and Furious. No evidence has emerged that there was any high-level authorization for the tactics, however, and A.T.F. supervisors and higher-level Justice Department officials have said they did not know about the tactics at the time, let alone brief their superiors about them.

It’s bad enough when politicians, their staffers, and unelected agency bureaucrats concoct policies that damage Americans’ daily to just go about their business, and too many times take money directly from our wallets. But when their misguided altruism costs people their lives and they make every attempt to conceal their culpability, downright lie about negative after effects and are just allowed to walk away, there’s something very wrong and it doesn’t look like accountability is an attainable expectation.

But if any one of us wanted to immigrate to one of our neighbors south of our border, what would be required to enter legally?

MEXICO

To apply for and be granted a permanent resident visa, the applicants must:

— have certain close family connections in Mexico, or

— apply for retirement status and prove they have sufficient monthly income (or substantial assets) to support themselves, or

— have 4 consecutive years of regular status as Temporary Resident, or

— have 2 consecutive years of regular status as Temporary Resident where that Temporary Visa was issued through marriage to a Mexican National or a foreign permanent resident, or

— meet a minimum score under the Points System*, or

— be granted residency on humanitarian grounds or through political asylum.

How many Mexicans come into the United States and have enough money to support themselves of meet any of the “status” requirements?

When you want to acquire permanent residency but DO NOT want to work in Mexico:

If you have a regular source of income from abroad (e.g. investments, savings, pension, etc.) then a Permanent Resident Visa will be the most straightforward route. By law, you need to prove that you have sufficient funds or investments to sustain yourself, and the income criteria has been tightened up under the new laws which came into effect in 2012.

Obviously, not many at all.

How you go about applying for your visa will depend on your circumstances, how much Spanish you speak, and how much time you have to deal with the bureaucracy involved in the application process.

In the United States, the American taxpayer or advocacy nonprofits take care of any inconvenient language barriers encountered.

According to the left’s ethnocentric advocacy groups, entering the United States is a human right. But when you observe the expectations Mexico imposes on anyone entering, their reasoning is logical.

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society

— Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.” (Article 32)

Anyone living in a border state knows how few Mexican immigrants have any intention of assimilating into American society, thus aside from physical labor jobs and restaurant cuisine, they have little possibility of contributing anything of value to “national progress”. In fact, too many want America to be like Mexico.

— Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents. (Article 34)

All one need do is go into any American welfare office and see the amount of Mexicans, especially women with children and elderly seeking monetary, food, and housing benefits; it’s obvious how few arrived with any “necessary funds for their sustenance”

— Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics,” when foreigners are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when “they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy.” (Article 37)

Thanks to the Democrat Party, illegal Mexicans are being welcomed into the United States with the hope that some will assimilate just enough to become Democrat voters, which artificially upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics” and also affects Congressional representation in affected districts.

Judging from the high levels of crime committed by illegal aliens from Mexico, they are detrimental “when they do not behave like good citizens… broken laws”. And judging from the levels of diseases recently reintroduced into American society after the influx of “undocumented immigration children”, many entering are not physically healthy which has resulted in yet another negative effect on the American population.

— The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.” (Article 38)

President Trump is trying to do what our politicians have failed to do for decades and look what’s being said about him and those in his administration.

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:

— A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity. (Articles 85 and 86)

— A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).

We really have NO idea how many illegals are in the United States.

Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request, i.e., to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants. (Article 73)

In the United States, many state and local municipality are actively working against our immigration enforcement agency, some even going as far as declaring “sanctuary” areas where illegals are told they will not be detained by local law enforcement or handed over to ICE for deportation proceedings.

Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:

— Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)

— Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses” are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)

In order to function in the United States, one must have a driver’s license or identification card, a birth certificate, and a Social Security card. While illegals can purchase all of these and in some American entities, asking to inspect one or all of these can be considered a form of racial discrimination.

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:

— Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)

— Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)

— Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.

Just want would illegal immigration into the United States look like if we enforced our laws like the Mexicans enforce theirs?

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says:

— “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” (Article 123)

— Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)

— Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported. (Article 126)

— Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law.

We’ve yet to see protests by illegal immigrant advocacy groups in Mexico protesting on the behalf of violators against their draconian, inhumane requirements.

A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)

Well, that’s just plain mean and would be considered discriminatory against almost every ugly male in the United States.

Of course, thanks to the Democrat Party and American left, Mexicans assume we want their uneducated poor.

If more who politically advocate for illegals entering or currently in the United States knew how lax our requirements (when observed), expectations, and enforcement is compared to Mexico, the discussion would be a whole lot different… which is why they NEVER bring it up.

Remittances, or wire transfers such as Western Union Moneygrams from the United States represent the second largest source of income for Mexico. In 2009, Mexican workers, mostly illegal aliens, sent home $21.2 billion in such transfers. Remittances are second only to Mexico’s oil industry in the amount of revenue produced, which is one of the chief reasons the Mexican government has no interest in working with U.S. authorities to police our common border.

Furthermore, according to the Inter-American Development Bank, all of Latin America received $69.2 billion in remittances from the U.S. in 2009 alone.

Thus, dispelling the myth that illegal aliens contribute to our economy. The fact is, that the overwhelming amount of the wages earned by illegal aliens is not spent in this country, but simply sent back home.

If it were up to us, we’d BAN ALL WIRE TRANSFERS TO MEXICO and beyond until they used the same amount of effort to keep their people from entering the United States as they did keeping Central Americans from entering Mexico to settle, right? Letting them in to go to the U.S. (as is happening today) is another issue altogether.

For those pushing that dubious “6.1 million” number of illegals from Mexico, if all of them were sending money home, they’d each be sending an average of $3,475 for each man, woman, and child here. Since not all of them are sending money, the dollar amount per illegal being sent back per year would have to be much higher and unrealistic, again IF you believe that 6.1 million tally.

Then again, stopping all transfers until the Mexican government got it’s act together would give them something to think about.

As of now, they jettison their uneducated and unskilled and get paid for it.

The United States gets screwed again.

The numbers keep getting larger.

Mexicans sent home $26.1 billion from January to November 2017, according to figures released Tuesday by the central bank of Mexico. That’s the most ever recorded and better than the $24.1 billion sent in 2016 over the same period. Barring a major setback in December, the total annual figure for 2017 is on pace to hit another record high.

Remittances are one of Mexico’s top sources of foreign income, outpacing oil exports, which totaled $18.5 billion between January and October, according to the most recent figures available at the Bank of Mexico. Manufacturing exports are the top source of foreign income for Mexico.

The White House is planning on targeting remittance payments made by illegal immigrants in the wake of an ongoing migrant flood at the U.S. southern border, a senior administration official told reporters Tuesday.

The plans to target remittance payments come amid a broader shakeup at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and future executive actions designed to curb illegal immigration. Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who is being considered to replace outgoing DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, told Breitbart, “The threat I propose is one that actually helps us if we follow through on it. That is the threat of ending remittances from the majority of people in the United States from Mexico who are here illegally,” adding “they don’t want to risk losing that massive flow of foreign capital. In most years, it’s their second biggest source of foreign capital.”

You know, THIS will get Mexico’s attention.

And for some reason once some people come here, they attempt to make America resemble the place they from which they fled. The next question may seem provocative; there’s a point so work with me on this one.

Are Latinos intellectually inferior?

Understandably an offensive question to most.

I ask because every other immigrant group that comes to the United States seems to have been given the benefit of the doubt that they have intelligence. Conservatives have always stated the importance of assimilation, so this sentiment of inferiority comes from, again, the intellectually-superior Left.

For example, when you get on a city bus in Boston, the public signs are printed in English and Spanish. Not English and Gaelic or English and Italian, as the Irish and Italian population dominate there. In Chicago, the public signs are in English and Spanish, not English and Polish. In New York, English and Spanish, not English and Yiddish.

I think you know where I am going with this.

For some reason, someone (most probably a liberal) decided all public signs should be written in English and Spanish. I think that’s insulting but predictable considering who probably came up with the policy in the first place. Almost every other immigrant group was expected to assimilate through language, except Latinos. It seems apparent that liberals think Latinos are just too damn stupid and need that crutch. Also keeping in mind that liberals play the entitlement and victim game better than anyone does, some Latinos now expect Americans must learn Spanish so we’ll be a part of their America.

English is the worldwide language of commerce. People in other countries learn English so they can do business with us. Sure, some people here learn other languages to aid in commerce as well, but for the most part, English is where it’s at.

Most immigrant children are immediately immersed in English-only classes in school. In fact, their parents wouldn’t have it any other way. Most Latino parents want the same for their kids. But liberal educators fought to continue bilingual education classes even though years of study showed the only people who benefited by those classes were the teachers who earned extra money for their bilinguistics. Here in California, it took a voter initiative to eliminate those classes (which, of course, was later partially overturned), and even though there were marked improvements in Latino children’s performance, activists and some teachers protested.

Is this notion of multiculturalism really such a great goal? Have the hyphens really helped bring us together, or are they intentionally keeping us apart?

There’s now an entire class of people who don’t have to learn English and can still eke out a living: not a very good one, to be sure. But to the delight of liberals, these immigrants will need public assistance and that assures the growth of Democrat government. These people can take a driver’s test in Spanish and get a license. They can go to supermarkets and not need to speak a word of English. They can get benefits from government social workers and not speak a word of English.

I was in a public building in the San Fernando Valley a couple of weeks ago. Not only were there no forms in English (only in Spanish) but there were also Mexican flags placed prominently on workers desks. Yes, I do have a problem with that.

We have Zita Wilensky who worked in a Miami-Dade government office for 16 years that was terminated after being entrapped by her Latina boss. Wilensky failed to learn Spanish in 60 days (even though it was not a requirement for her hiring since Florida officially recognizes English as the state language). When her boss, posing as an abuse victim, called and spoke in Spanish, the ‘gringa’ (as her all-Latino staff called her) transferred the call to a Spanish-speaking operator. The woman was fired.

Sometimes I wish I were a lawyer. Sometimes….

The beauty of America is that people have the right to be undereducated. They have the right to be ignorant. They thereby, have to accept the after effects of their actions. They will be relegated to low-wage employment. Activists can call it racism, discrimination, and xenophobia. I agree, and I point my finger right back at the activists.

These are the same National Council of La Raza (The Race) bigots who defend bilingual education. Funny, these activists speak the Queen’s English. They wear $300 outfits and some are lawyers. Speaking English seems to have done right by them, however they aggressively defend someone else’s right to stay in the dark.

To answer my question: no. I do not believe Latinos are intellectually inferior. However, some liberals clearly do. These liberals are policy makers and I accuse them of being a victim factory. They wish to create an underclass, so as to keep them down, keep them ignorant, keep them full of envy, keep them full of hate, and keep them seeking before an election. After the election is over and the Liberal wins, things go right back to normal.

If Latinos, like Blacks, would just once vote the other way, they might see a change because they would see a change of attitude.

Conservatives always tell us what we can do. Liberals always tell us what we can’t and the positive message is preferable. Maybe one day, some minorities will wake up and join the rest of America where all can achieve.
