It’s been almost four years since a half-black man was in the White House for eight years. Many of us have been relieved that his race-obsessed provocations were out of our lives but seeing how he’s making it all about himself (and race again), rightly to sell a book, a response was in order and so posted on Twitter.

I correctly emphasize half-black as there are always family dynamics that outsiders don’t understand and wisely don’t interject themselves in. Many non-blacks, especially younger types, have no idea of some of the dirty laundry that’s been stirring internally for decades so when they do chime in, it’s done to placate feelings of the near-total ignorant.

Liberals, especially those running the entertainment industry, clearly prefer light-skinned blacks. They’ve always been considered “non-threatening”. Look at the most well known black singers in the music industry and the vast majority are the light-skinned. Internal tension and resentment is understandable.

This may be a very hard concept for most of the #woke to absorb but the National Football League is not a progressive nonprofit that doesn’t need to show positive results. The NFL is a business, and in keeping this as simple as possible, it’s a league of 32 teams and only one can attain the ultimate goal which is winning a Super Bowl.

There has been much dismay by the activist left that no team, since the Baltimore Ravens in 2018, has offered Colin Kaepernick an opportunity. It’s not solely because of his Black Lives Matter activism, but because of his on-the-field numbers just prior to his being cut from the San Francisco 49ers; numbers probably few (if any) supporters of Kaepernick could tell you off hand.

There is also a major issue with any team that even makes mention of possibly acquiring Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick was supposed to work out for NFL teams at the Falcons’ facility earlier this year, but after disagreements over various aspects of the session, Kaepernick moved the workout to an Atlanta-area high school.

For shits and giggles, let’s just say the Atlanta Falcons signed Kaepernick. Do you really think he’d be expected to sit on the bench behind Matt Ryan? No way, José. Two weeks ago, Los Angeles Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said Kaepernick is on the team’s workout list. With team facilities shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s unclear when the Chargers might be able to bring in Kaepernick.

“Unclear” as this is not the greatest of situations seeing how the Chargers picked Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft to replace Philip Rivers, and also have a proven starter in Tyrod Taylor.

“I haven’t spoken with Colin, not sure where he’s at as far in his career, what he wants to do, but Colin definitely fits the style of quarterback for the system that we’re going to be running. I’m very confident and happy with the three quarterbacks that I have but you can never have too many people waiting on the runway,” Lynn said, via ESPN. The Chargers currently have Tyrod Taylor, No. 6 overall pick Justin Herbert and Easton Stick in their quarterback room.

A very safe way of Coach Lynn’s saying the safe thing: he wouldn’t mind having another option… (but he doesn’t really need Kaepernick).

First round picks are seldom told they’re going to be benched when they get that call on Draft Day. If Kaepernick started and is moderately successful, Herbert may wish to look elsewhere for playing time resulting in a wasted first round pick by Los Angeles. Tyrod Taylor would be the most logical starter for Los Angeles while Herbert learned and wasn’t thrown into that infamous rookie trial-by-fire that’s maimed many careers.

And again, if Kaepernick doesn’t play well, Coach Lynn would be well aware of the social activist backlash if he did what most teams tend to do to a player who’s not performing: sit him down on the bench and replace him with someone who may do better.

Here’s the reality of any Colin Kaepernick situation in the NFL

Most teams already have a starting quarterback, and yes, some are better than others. But if a team signs Kaepernick, it’ll be demanded by forces outside of a team front office, that he be the starting quarterback for Week 1 and the head coach’s ability to choose his quarterback will be circumvented by the sports-ignorant in social media.

But bored sports writers with no sports to report are just left to their musings and speculation.

Colin Kaepernick could help five NFL teams if they’d give him contract

Pittsburgh Steelers
Franchise staple Ben Roethlisberger turned 38 in March, and likely doesn’t have many starter-quality years left in the NFL. Kaepernick is six years younger — and with Big Ben coming off an injury — the ex-49er could help keep the offense afloat for Pittsburgh in case Roethlisberger can’t return to his previous form.

New England Patriots
This likely would provide Kaepernick the best opportunity to be a starter right away. Franchise icon and proverbial GOAT QB Tom Brady departed this offseason in free agency, and many expect coach Bill Belichick to hand the keys over to untested young quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Kaepernick at the very least could give Stidham some stiff competition in training camp, if not win the starting job outright.

Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars have dealt with ineptitude at the quarterback position for many years. Gardner Minshew didn’t exactly set the NFL on fire in his rookie season, but 21 touchdowns with just six interceptions over 14 games did inspire some hope in Jacksonville.

Detroit Lions
Matthew Stafford only played eight games in 2019 after breaking bones in his back. Stafford reportedly is 100 percent recovered from the injury, but has taken plenty of shots over his 11-year career. Trade rumors swirled around Stafford early last season, and he even put his $6.5 million Michigan home on the market in May. Kaepernick would be a nice insurance policy for Stafford, and even has a similarly powerful throwing arm.

Atlanta Falcons
Matt Ryan did win the NFL MVP just four years ago, but he hasn’t returned to near that level since offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan departed for the 49ers. Ryan’s numbers have declined, and he led the NFL after being sacked 48 times in 2019. Although Matt Schaub has been a serviceable backup, including throwing for 460 yards in his lone start last season, he’s 38 years old and likely isn’t much of an upgrade over Kap, if at all.

Kaepernick’s added athletic ability also could bring a different element to Atlanta’s offense in case of Ryan’s absence.

Neither Pittsburgh nor New England, especially with their respective exposure to drama queen Antonio Brown, are going to want to bring off-the-field issues into their cultures. Both do have quarterback issues but both franchises also tend to land on their feet, not initially on a knee. Detroit is oh-so-slowly becoming New England West, so again, paying for drama unrelated to the field won’t be easily considered. Atlanta won’t bench Matt Ryan for the unknown Kaepernick is today.

Jacksonville is used to mediocrity so they may be a possibility. The problem is most of those pushing for Kaepernick’s return couldn’t tell you what conference Jacksonville is in, don’t buy game tickets, and wouldn’t know if the Sunday games are on CBS or Fox Sports. From a business standpoint, there’ll be as much monetary return if Kaepernick plays poorly as if he plays well and that’s not a good reason for giving any player a respectable contract.

Then there’s another reality, borne by facts: very few players who’ve missed three or more consecutive seasons have returned to the field with any modicum of success. There are, of course, exceptions but that number is very small, those players were elite, and none of them returned commanding what Colin Kaepernick and outside forces will want today for him to put on an NFL uniform.

Keeping it simple (again), very NFL team enters the season with one goal and only one goal: to win the Super Bowl. They hope to focus on that goal like a laser. Distractions are the last thing wanted in a locker room, and very few bring on a player who’ll bring off-the-field drama with them. Of course, there ARE players whose skills make them tolerable exceptions.

Colin Kaepernick is NOT one of them.

Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa, is among those who believe the NFL is intentionally keeping the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback out of the league. She wasn’t the only one to insinuate as much, as former NFL player Charles Woodson told TMZ, “There’s a lot of guys that are in the conversation to be picked up. We know the reason [Kaepernick is] not one of those guys … but he should be.“

Fox News also looked into the couple and found evidence that seems to show that his “conversion to social activism” happened only after he began dating his girlfriend, DJ Nessa Diab. Her social media account has plenty of photos and posts related to her job as a DJ but it also shows her stance as a black rights activist and Islam defender.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was again repeatedly sacked by the Broncos, suffered a broken back, is out for almost half of the season and guess what the talk is around Raider nation? Bringing in Colin Kaepernick!

With Derek Carr lost for up to six weeks with a fracture in his back, that planet is now blocking the sun in Oakland.

It’s obvious at this point NFL owners have been staying away from Colin Kaepernick because of the fear of the media circus and/or fan backlash due to his having originated kneeling during the National Anthem in protest of police brutality and racial profiling.

All this is to say, Kaepernick’s presence on a team wouldn’t be quite as controversial as it once was — not that the Raiders have ever really cared about such things. It inevitably leads back to the question of his on-field talents and whether he would be a good addition to a team, like the Raiders, who have playoff aspirations and are now facing as many as 6 weeks with EJ Manuel and Connor Cook as the team’s starter and backup respectively.

There is a general rule in life that makes absolute common sense: talk only about that which you know. The issue here is people who not only talk about what they don’t know, but make stuff up and say as much on national television.

Gerald Griggs, vice president of the NAACP Atlanta chapter, appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program to discuss the whole Colin Kaepernick issue and the two sports illiterates went at it. However, football (unlike activism) is a game of stats and almost every statistic that came out of Griggs’ mouth was an unforced fumble. We’re not sure where Griggs came up with some of his statistics, but the left is notorious for throwing out questionable, yet easily recitable numbers like 1-in-5 or 97% that’s blindly repeated as fact.

Seeing how his fellow activists could be sports ignorant, throwing around dubious numbers to make the point was clearly the objective.

The fact that only 16 other quarterbacks have a higher quarterback rating than Colin Kaepernick speaks a lot to what’s going on with the NFL and the reason why we believe this is an issue of race.

Again, we’re not sure where Griggs came up with Kaepernick being the “17th best quarterback in the league” in 2016, even though that would also make him a numerical mediocre in a league of 32 teams, because according to ESPN, he ranked a lot lower than what Griggs repeatedly told Fox News viewers.

Colin Kaepernick was dead last in the passer rating and the only one with negative rating points. He was second to last when it came to expected points off of an opposing team’s penalty, second to last in overall quarterback snaps because when you can’t make first downs, you don’t stay on the field long.

To be fair, there was ONE statistic where Colin Kaepernick led the league and that was yards per rush.

Seeing how the San Francisco 49ers finished winning only two out of 14 games in 2016, Kaepernick spent most of his time running for his life because he was ineffective; not because he was that good.

The National Football League is not at all worried about a boycott by people who probably don’t watch football on Sunday, know little about Kaepernick’s unimpressive on-the-field performance over the last few years, and couldn’t even tell you what division his old team is in. Aside from chanting “No justice, no peace” outside of a stadium where the field is called the gridiron upon which teams battle, they are irrelevant to football organizations, the League, and knowledgeable fans.

As stated before, the reasons Colin Kaepernick is still without a job are…

1. There is no obligation that he must be hired by anyone, let alone a National Football League franchise.
2. He declined to re-sign with the team that put up with his mediocre performance.
3. There are very few teams in dire need of a backup quarterback that deems social justice activism more important that winning football games.
4. The League figured him out in his sophomore season and he failed to up his game appropriately: he just isn’t that good.

Tucker Carlson could have ripped Griggs to shreds however he’s a wonk who clearly knew little about football and failed to run through a big gap in Griggs’ porous defense.

Social justice activists are more about forcing a team to accept someone who’s not all that good just because he’s black (half), which is also kinda’ racist.

The Noise

That ill-timed Tweet may have sealed Kaepernick’s fate because no one wants to have to deal with drama, on or off the field, and especially by an irrelevant non-participant.

Colin Kaepernick is supposedly protesting the unfair treatment of young black males by law enforcement. What he’s conveniently leaving out of the discussion is the main reason young black males are in vulnerable positions in the first place: the absence of responsible black fathers in the home.

Given his background, not sure how he can truly relate.

A statistic as glaring as 77% of blacks being born into homes with no father would be worthy of that “discussion” but it’s a fact liberals tiptoe and instead actively glorify the status of the single mothers who raise NFL stars.

The white elites at ESPN, the NFL on CBS, the NFL on Fox, the NFL Network AND Colin Kaepernick are too chickshit to broach the real reason for young black males’ overrepresentation in the criminal justice system as it would put a spotlight on the Democrat encouragement of black mothers to rely on a social system that financially rewards the absence of a father.

The ramifications are obvious and in professional sports, the cycle has been in-play for decades.

Settlement Fail

There was supposedly dancing in the streets for Colin Kaepernick after it was reported that he reached a settlement against the NFL for colluding to keep him out of football.

The NFL and lawyers for players Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid jointly announced Friday that they had settled a complaint of collusion by the players, who claimed football team owners blackballed them because they had protested racial injustice and police brutality by kneeling during the playing of the national anthem before games.

The settlement is confidential, but Colin Kaepernick sure looks happy the day after striking a deal with the NFL. Colin posed with his legal team — led by Mark Geragos and Ben Meiselas — early Saturday morning with a big ol’ smile on his face.

What was privately a victory yesterday will be publicly made to look like something entirely different today.

According to The Wall Street Journal’s Andrew Beaton, Kaepernick and Reid will receive less than $10 million from the NFL to settle their collusion grievances with the league. It’s unclear how the settlement will be divided and how much the players will receive after legal fees, according to Beaton.

And what screwed it all up again? A familiar name that keeps coming up….

Until mouths are shut, it’s just about football and only those who actually play the game, no one will want Colin Kaepernick and his baggage anywhere near their team.

As far as the Cleveland Browns go, they’re still a punchline.

Eleven players took to their social justice knees during their last preseason game. What’s ironic is that the only consistency they’ve had over the last three years is finishing last in their division with a total of 11 wins. The last time they were in the playoffs was 15 years ago and they lost in Pittsburgh.

Contrast that to someone who is vilified to this day for kneeling: Tim Tebow. The majority of the vilification came from the liberal sports media who had a problem with praying on the field even though after the televised broadcasts are ended, many players of both teams routinely meet together at midfield, kneel, pray, and give thanks to God for being blessed enough to walk off the field under their own power.

You’ve heard many people denigrate Tim Tebow as a mediocre football player but if you again remember that most sportswriters are liberals, it was Tim and his mom appearing in a Super Bowl, pro-life commercial that put the bulls-eye on Tim’s back and his kneeling in prayer only justified their criticism of him, despite his accomplishments on the NFL field which they conveniently forget.

The first five weeks of the Denver Broncos’ season were dominated by a quarterback controversy involving Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow, with fans voicing their displeasure with the play of Orton, which resulted in a 1–4 start, and the public outcry for Tebow to be moved to starter. On October 11, Tebow was named the starting quarterback and compiled an 8–5 record (including the playoffs, with a six-game win streak from Weeks 9–14) since replacing Orton, including game-winning drives in the fourth quarter and/or overtime in six of those games, despite constant criticism of his unorthodox mechanics and abilities as a passer.

To put Tebow’s brief Denver stint in perspective, current quarterbacks Jay Cutler, T.J. Yates, Brock Osweiler, Matt Schaub, Carson Palmer, and Matt Cassel all have one playoff win. Matt Moore, Brian Hoyer, Kirk Cousins, Joe Webb, Connor Cook, Teddy Bridgewater, A.J. McCarron, Robert Griffin III, Nick Foles, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford, and Andy Dalton have zero. Who knows how many more playoff wins Tebow would have had if he’d been supported by Denver GM John Elway.

Most people who consume the NFL could care less about social justice activism and the criticism of “kneeling” is deceptive.

Kaepernick is not being dissed by teams solely because of his activism distractions. He’s a player that, along with the baggage, is no longer a potential winner (unbeknownst to most social justice activists) and that’s what NFL teams who have QB vacancies are looking for. Social media shaming won’t change reality and many of those who are ignorantly doing the most complaining would never watch more than a couple of minutes of an NFL broadcast and probably can’t tell you what division Colin’s team plays in.

Some players are kneeling to literally thank God while others are multi-million dollar athletes who wish to get their mediocre names out there. If Kaepernick was a consistent winner, would he still be kneeling or would he be more focused on the game and working behind-the-scenes in the community? Would the Cleveland Browns be kneeling if they were really focused on winning more this year than the one football game they won all last season or finishing any higher than last in their division as they have 12 times in the last 14 years?

Isn’t ironic that not even the Browns have offered Kaepernick a contract?

The #ClevelandBrowns hashtag is on its way back to the cellar, like the team, and Colin Kaepernick says he’s now going to concentrate on the game.

Too little, too late because like on the field, he’s not fooling anyone.
