Former President Trump and Fox News anchor Bret Baier argued over Trump’s false claims of a rigged election in 2020 during a contentious interview that aired Monday on the network.

“First of all, I won in 2020 by a lot,” Trump said when Baier asked him how he plans to appeal to independent voters in 2024. “You know that’s not what … ” Baier interjected as Trump talked over him.

The former president floated unfounded theories about ballot harvesting and voter fraud, to which Baier pushed back, saying, “Mr. President that’s all been looked into. You lost the 2020 election,” Baier told Trump, noting the numerous recounts and lawsuits that followed Trump’s refusal to admit defeat in the weeks after the election.

The Founding Fathers gave the media protection in the First Amendment of the Constitution with the caveat that they keep the public informed. It didn’t have to be said that the information presented be accurate. Maybe it should’ve been. Especially over the last decade, the media has made numerous declarations and a good portion of the populace believed them. As usual, when those declarations turned out to be untrue, corrections are buried if issued at all. Apologies? Zip, zero, nada.

Does CNN ever apologize for getting it wrong — putting out false or deliberately misleading information — again and again and again and again and again?

No, CNN simply pretends all of this failure derives from good-faith errors rather than wishcasting and flamboyantly obvious partisan hackery, then dials the whataboutism up to 11.

The lack of contrition is expected because some of the overpaid in the media risk loss of their income should the public not trust them. Brian Williams seems to be one of the exceptions of a busted liar who continues to get high paying gigs while a laughing stock. But the media gets it wrong so often, it takes a certain amount of chutzpah to insist the public accept them at their word, for example, when it comes to the 2020 election as the “most secure in history“.

In fact, the media is wrong so often, there are posts dedicated to not letting the arrogant off the hook so easily.

There is a major source of misinformation that’s rarely mentioned in news stories — the news media themselves. A Columbia University’s Tow Center for Digital Journalism study found that “news organizations play a major role in propagating hoaxes, false claims, questionable rumors, and dubious viral content.”  In another study, Harvard’s Yochai Benkler, Robert Faris, and Hal Roberts examined four million online messages transmitted or shared during the 2016 election campaign, including those from the websites of traditional news outlets like the New York Times and fake news sites like those of Russian operatives. The research team expected the Russian effort to be a major source of disinformation, and it was. But they discovered that traditional media were a larger contributor.

It’s best not to believe any media story nowadays. They’ve clearly earned the mistrust.

Sadly, they also depend on their consumers being too lazy to do the due diligence and investigate further on their own, which unfortunately explains how easy it is to continue to include “The View” under the ABC News banner.

But when the media insists you believe masks work and vaccines are safe, climate catastrophes a century from now can be prevented today, elections where Democrats win should always be accepted, and especially when they insist you believe them because they say so, have one word at the ready…

Why?

Also to this day, Trump is criticized for his demeanor while in office. Well, if you had to fend off a hostile media, opposition party and federal employee obstructionists pushing false accusations for years, you might have a burr up your ass, that is if you could have survived it.

In some sports if a previous play is in question, the game is halted, the officials gather, replays are watched and if there’s enough evidence to overturn a call, the outcome of the play can either stand or be reversed. However in today’s brand of politics, if the fans see a play as going one way at home or on the stadium big screen and the officials (and media) see it another, there is no replay review offered and the fans and candidate are told to shut up and deal with it.

Such is what happened after the 2020 presidential election. The electorate saw one candidate clearly outplaying the other during the long campaign season. During the championship game one team was clearly winning, we have a commercial time-out and when the game resumed all see the score has been changed, the team that was losing is now winning; a lead that would not be relinquished by the media’s preferred team.

Too many in the media and pundit class are still too eager to insist Donald Trump shut and get over his “loss” to Joe Biden, but it’s easy to talk. If they actually had the guts to be a candidate for any public office, they’d understand why it’s not easy to just up and walk away from a long, hard campaign you believe you couldn’t have and didn’t lose.

Being a candidate takes more than just getting on a ballot and running a campaign.

Prior to, there are many discussions had between immediate family members and friends because depending on the office sought, there are profound ramifications for all involved including intrusions of varying intensity into personal lives by the media and opposition elements.

After a campaign is set up, trusted people have to be brought on to give of their paid and/or volunteer time, and depending on the office, can take months if not years of their time and energy. Significant financial structures have to be created and maintained to meet media and government scrutiny. And most notably, if you’re not in the good graces of the media on all levels, your political and personal life will be made hell during and after the campaign despite the result.

Those who are quick to jump on Donald Trump are mostly those who, despite having mouths of varying sizes, were and are too chicken shit to take a strong position they are willing to defend, create a platform that can withstand appropriate inspection, and stick their own necks out and run for office themselves. Most probably know they have too many skeletons in their sanctimonious closets that are best left closed. Most are shallow enough that their positions can and will vary depending on who is issuing their present paycheck. And some have specious public speaking skills that would be open to mass mockery once displayed and recorded.

These people are like the sports blabbermouths who are quick to criticize and athlete or team despite never having the guts or talent to put on a uniform and compete against other very talented people. Donald Trump decided to do something he really didn’t have to do. He had a very successful and physically comfortable life. He was very popular amongst his political and media peers until he decided to temporarily give it all up and serve his country when it was clearly going in the wrong direction.

He was also met with pushback by the mediocres in government whose personal interests were greater than obeying the orders of their new boss, media-stoked unprecedented hate fueled by cowards on social media and in the streets, and of course the dirty tricks by an opponent that was amplified to derail his agenda. And when Trump ran for reelection against an inferior candidate and “lost”, he justifiably continues to remind us that the whole process stunk and he has every right to do so, especially when the Democrat media continues to laud the sore-loser whining of stolen elections spewed by Stacey Abrams and Hillary Clinton to this day.

Until you are a candidate, you can’t understand the pain of a loss that you know wasn’t.

Until you are a candidate, you are no one to tell a candidate to get over it.

Bob Parks was a California candidate for United States Congress in 2002 and Massachusetts candidate for State Representative in 2008.

Before they lost the 2016 election, the Hillary Clinton campaign tried to set up Donald Trump with fake accusations and use those accusations to portray him as a traitor. They wasted near $32 million taxpayer dollars paying Democrat lawyers in a failed investigation. They lied to courts so they could spy on American citizens. Entertainers publicly fantasized about killing the president. They used third-party hearsay to launch an unsuccessful impeachment proceeding. They harassed and intimidated Administration officials at restaurants and at their homes. They doxxed and assaulted the president’s supporters. They assaulted and assassinated police officers. They used social and the news media to cover-for and censor opposition. They cheated to win the 2020 election. During that time, they vandalized, burned, looted and seized control over parts of major American cities. In 2020, they voted for a senile, old man who, at times, didn’t know where he was or which office he was running for and now wants us to “unite” behind him.

One can clearly see that Democrats are certifiably insane.

Now that Joe Biden believes he’s going to be the next President of the United States, even though his supporters threaten mass violence if he lost on Election Night, he conveniently wants Republicans and conservatives to forget an elongated, abusive past.

“Unite” with Democrats means give them all they want, or else.

That’ll be a tough one, Joe.

Donald Trump and the White House comms shop put together a video montage chronicling the media lying, chronicling the media distorting by name, by video, by face, by picture, and they had a meltdown. CNN bugged out of the coverage, claiming that Trump was turning the briefing into a propaganda session, that Trump was turning it into a meltdown.

The meltdown occurred at CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Times because they were exposed. The lies they’ve been telling. And look, Trump had to do this. The White House did this because the New York Times ran that story on Saturday that Trump was unprepared, that millions and millions more lives would be saved if Trump had just known what he was doing.

All notion of the lack “respect for the office” was evidenced when millennial “journalist” Paula Reid spoke to the president in a manner we all know she wouldn’t dare do to her boss unless she really wanted to get fired. It’s also clear CBS News was prepared for fireworks as they only had three lower third graphics prepared for the briefing: “White House Coronavirus Task Force gives update“, “For the latest on the Coronavirus response go to CBSNews.com/coronavirus“, and the only person identified by name was not doctors Fauci or Birx, Treasury secretary Mnuchin or even President Trump: it was “Paula Reid CBS News White House Correspondent“.

All it took to tweak her (and others in the media) was the audacity of President Trump, not only throwing their words back in their faces but also doing to their faces and making them sit through it.

Unlike legendary journalist Helen Thomas who worked 19 years in the craft before she achieved White House correspondent status, Reid got a job at CBS News with an unrelated journalism education, and like others, rose to White House correspondent in relative short order thus further cheapening the importance and value of the position.

Not that anyone would expect full disclosure from the media and how personal issues might taint coverage, but Paula Reid’s husband is a lobbyist for China which could be why the president said she’s the “last person on earth” who’d get any heads up on anything regarding “consequences” for China.

CNN’s John King later voiced his displeasure of his fellow media correspondents having to be so demeaned as to have to watch “taxpayer-funded propaganda”. King believes his CNN audience is ignorant of the fact that many federal agencies have fully-staffed, professional video studios where officials put out “taxpayer-funded” propaganda any time they want. The problem for King is President Trump countered some of the very incorrect messages national media outlets sent out to the public, just because it was the opposite of what the president said.

While King and Wolf Blitzer lament the new low at White House pressers, the unprecedented number of attacks on President Trump slightly outnumber the amount of incorrect, cherry-picked stories the media released with fury and retractions buried, if corrected at all. But as the broadcast media has conveniently edited-for-time as their excuse for taking things out of context, President Trump should refrain from taking up valuable time for during future press briefings.

The White House should put out longer versions on social media, tagging members of the media who got things very wrong, numerous times, and still have their jobs.

One problem: it doesn’t appear to be correct.

But the intended damage was already done….

What’s most interesting is in ABC News’ own report, two minutes eighteen seconds in length, the last twenty seconds featured Jonathan Karl’s CYA as he knows he’ll be in President Trump’s crosshairs (again) the next time he has to assume his role as Chief White House Correspondent.

The deteriorated standards of what used to be called “journalism” are clearly at play here as there was a time where no stories would EVER be based on “sources” who refused to go on the record for the obvious reasons.

“Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event,” according to an unnamed source who told ABC the reports were then “briefed multiple times,” to the DIA, the Pentagon’s Joint Staff, and the White House.

One of the reasons, which has been proven true over the years, is that some journalists will create fictitious sources and events to back up their preferred narrative. We’re not saying that happened here but suspicions are not unwarranted. When those creating product have clear condescension and contempt for their consumers, issuing misleading stories meant to damage the president before a president election is easy.

As the main mission of most in the professional media has been the destruction of the Trump presidency, any semblance of journalistic ethics were thrown out the window the moment Donald Trump announced his candidacy in 2015.

We’re not sure if this is the case here, but if the person stating someone said something “racist” and is in the White House, one would think that person would give the name to a senior White House official, if not the public.

One would think….

Of course when called on it, the response was like that of petulant child busted in a lie, obfuscating instead of coming clean.

White House senior advisor Kellyanne Conway repeatedly responded to PBS NewsHour correspondent Yamiche Alcindor, who appeared to have been trying to provide cover for racism-accuser CBS News’ Weijia Jiang, and could not get a simple answer as to who in the White House said “kung flu”. During a #Coronavirus update yesterday, Alcindor actually took valuable time to ask President Trump about the White House staffer who supposedly said it.

With all of the sickness and death COVID-19 is spreading around the United States and the world, having journalists, pundits, and shut-in liberals getting all bent because of what the virus is being called is sophomoric at best. Calling anyone who uses the label “Wuhan virus” or “Chinese flu” as racist is part of that social justice tactic of renaming things that trigger the emotionally fragile. But seeing how the #Coronavirus was developed and initially unleashed in the Wuhan Province in China, it’s only reasonable to call it where it came from, just like many viruses before this.

As said many times before, it’s a great disservice that seasoned journalists with decades of experience are not occupying the privileged positions as White House correspondents; those who’ve proven themselves to be the documented crème de la crème instead of the young and cheap (Jiang is 36) we’re being subjected to.

Mr. President, thank you. I want to first follow-up on Jeff’s question because the person you were standing next to, whether you know who he is or not, tested positive for coronavirus. Dr. Fauci said this morning, if you stand next to somebody who tested positive, you should self-isolate and get a test. Doctors have said you might have it, even if you don’t have symptoms? Are you being selfish by not getting tested and potentially…?

During a June 22, 2017 House Minority Leader Weekly Briefing, we got an explanation on what was to come as explained by an industry pro.

If Jiang can’t give the name, she should be removed immediately from the White House press pool. If, after all this time, that staffer is named and denies making the “slur”, he or she should be required to submit to a polygraph test. If the result comes back that the “slur” was never made, CBS News and Jiang should be sued.

BTW — Hate hoaxes are at pandemic levels within her age group.

Maybe this foolishness will stop, at least for a little while.

Watch the Sunday talk shows and cable news channels that are nothing less than “global village” gossip pushing #DeepState government talking points.

It was the word “trust” that set us off in near howls of laughter, considering the source: Brian Williams.

As in sports, it’s hard to dump a “troubled” player with a five-year, $15 million salary so some of us obviously get more opportunities for redemption than others. Seeing how his job was to deliver accurate information to the American people, Williams will NEVER be able to do that without that justified cloud of doubt hanging over every word he utters.

As long as NBC News and MSNBC continues to employ a congenital liar like Brian Williams and the rest of the media is okay with it (because we don’t know how many of them also have “embellished” over the years), the overall honesty and/or credibility of the professional media will continue to be justifiably called into question.

BTW — It would appear NBC News is aware and concerned of the joke-status perception of their brand. The disputed segment which resulted in a “worldwide” block came from a compilation video by the New York Times posted on YouTube, but they’re okay.
