First off, these supposed sequels never work because of the obvious visuals where older technology is vastly superior to the past.

There is also that progressive tendency to sanctimoniously rewrite history to their political advantage and further indoctrinate unsuspecting viewers. For the left, Strange New Worlds did not disappoint.

There were many references to potential nuclear war in the original Star Trek series but the writers were intentionally vague on the issues involved and in the end, we were smart enough to avoid mutually-assured-destruction.

Today’s writers wish (again) to scare their youthful viewers into believing that not only was there a nuclear war, but that it was probably started on January 6th and exacerbated by irrational conservatives.

Micheal Jordan was once quoted as saying something like “Republicans buy shoes too!” Between including Stacey Abrams in another Star Trek series to now pushing the “insurrection” in the latest plot line and blaming the end of civilization as we know it on Republicans, it gives me yet another reason to satisfy my Star Trek jones with the three DVD box sets of the original series that was less talky, politically incorrect, had a decent amount of action, and at no point demonized their viewers.

Sometimes the past is way better than the future.

While the Republican Party was founded as an abolitionist party of slavery in the United States, the modern day Democrat left has taken every opportunity to label them and all conservatives as racist; a smear that has had them on an almost daily defensive since. The left doesn’t need any help, but earlier this month they got some.

It worked.

Patrick Howley “as of 2020 was writing for National File. He is the former editor-in-chief of Big League Politics, and in 2019, he worked as a freelancer for the Epoch Times.” He’s still currently listed as a “political reporter” for the Daily Caller. It would be correct for him to be labeled as a “right wing” author, but it’s clear he doesn’t speak for all of us.

Once AGAIN, Howley’s exposed the problem where so many with access to megaphones are undisciplined or in some cases, poorly-vetted infiltrators who smell generous conservative donations and proximity to power where little else (by way of actual skills and/or previous accomplishments) was required. In some cases, their lack of class and/or racism internally is a plague they’ve successfully kept hidden to this day while profiting off the unwitting base.

And as far as his assertion that “Sorry to say, but so many Black celebrities who have nothing to do with country music and it’s like — why?”, while that may be true as far as the Hollywood shallow goes and an over-the-top attempt has been made to make country music woke, to basically say blacks don’t like country music is something that could be challenged.

Not that it’s my favorite genre by any means, but the very first concert I attended was The Allman Brothers Band in 1972 at the Boston Garden. Southern rock could be considered an offshoot of country and I really, really doubt that while an obvious minority, I was not the only black person there that night, starting with one of the band’s two drummers.

Not sure how Howley will deal with his latest bout of notoriety but given our past experience with him, let’s just say the hole can be dug a lot deeper….

There have been times when some of us questioned why any Republican in his or her right mind would EVER appear on Real Time with Bill Maher. Those who had neglected egos in crisis, were pimping books and dropped by during their West Coast swing, were candidates polling badly locally, or were on-the-outs with the party for siding with Democrats on certain issues of the day. But anyone who knows liberal Hollywood understands the only reason to tolerate having a conservative on a set is to have that good vs. evil visual aid prop and unfortunately, there are still dimwitted Republicans who are more than ready to assume the position.

Over the last few months and thanks to destructive policies that are so obvious even the most rabid of Democrats have to begrudgingly endure, Bill Maher has made observations that crossed into the realm of common sense. He’s called out Democrats on his program and you know that hasn’t gone down well amongst the thin-skinned who are party first, no matter how many Americans feel the pain.

As the aggregators at Fox News were routinely shouting out his liberal beatdowns, one can only imagine the stink-eye Bill’s gotten from his peers and it appears he had to do something to get them off his case.

He delivered.

Sure, there are some loony Republicans out there who’ve successfully skirted the vetting process but we all know that hours can be spent viewing clips of deranged liberals, some of whom are sitting in elected office to this day. And let’s not forget, the most infamous “Karen”, despite revisionist attempts, was a liberal.

Despite his protestations against cancel culture, Bill Maher knows that liberals are the most intolerant people on the planet, especially in Hollywood. If they set their minds to it, he could be cancelled tomorrow if the right people contacted the right people. Such may already happened behind the scenes, Maher may have been told to reign it in and remind his audience (in no uncertain terms) who the bad people really are… or “you’ll never work in this town again”. And should you enjoy the Hollywood lifestyle and incur the expenses required, the prospect of sudden unemployment/banishment from that lucrative industry leaves few options.

The weakest will succumb and it looks like Maher did.

A $140 million net worth is peanuts that can be wiped out in a Hollywood week, especially if you can’t afford to pay a publicist whose calls aren’t being answered. Maher knows this and will obediently stay in the liberal lane.

Bill Maher has a show that’s unencumbered by inconvenient sponsors. His show lives via subscriptions so people who may never watch his show, pay for his show. But he’s also a player in a business whose values depend on who’s signing the paychecks and we all know what we call people like that….
