Pure arrogance, but based on what?

In September of 1990 when I got a job in the upstart Fox Broadcasting Company (pre-Fox Sports and Fox News), one of the first things I noticed was how some people believed they had to “dumb” things down for their audience. Think about the inflated sense of self it takes to assume you’re smarter than millions of people simply because of where you work.

I experienced that attitude throughout my dozen years in Hollywood and that sense of disdain for those who consume their products resulted in simplistic and insulting programming like “Honey Boo Boo” and almost everything on TLC. Do you really think these people would create demeaning productions of those in their industry or neighborhood? No, but they seek out the easily exploitable so they can laugh at us behind our backs and boost their fragile egos.

In the world of politics, we have an elected class that has no problem lying to our faces. Because of abused Constitutional protection, they believe they’re smarter than the public and they’ll have a portion of the media class that will cover for them. We can easily point to many in city councils, state legislatures, and even on Capitol Hill who clearly aren’t the brightest or emotionally stable our nation has to offer but they managed to get elected with something that’s coveted by all grifters: trust.

Watch any news or opinion show, local and national, and observe the formula they all use. You’ll never watch those shows the same way again.

After their opening monologues, they introduce a guest, start out with an elongated summary of the topic (to assure us all about how much THEY know) and end it in a way the guest has to respond with “I agree with you…”. The host is thereby validated by the invited expert on the topic. This also validates the host’s value to his or her employer.

However their “values” are only as good as the company cutting their check.

We’ve seen many who were once reporting for a conservative network jump to a liberal one and their rock-solid values suddenly dissolve. “Christian conservative” Alisyn Camerota anchored for Fox News before jumping to CNN. Kaitlan Collins blogged for the conservative Daily Caller out of college, became a White House correspondent and now host at liberal CNN. Shepard Smith anchored at Fox News before coming out with “fagitude” and moving to CNBC. That didn’t last long.

Kinda’ makes you wonder what their values really were prior to their change of venue.

Unlike politicians with elections and term limits, media personnel are imposed on the public and their bios are normally concealed by their employers. How they got to their current positions could be embarrassing once revealed. Experience, lack of, nepotism, sexual fast-track; all are at play when it comes to the media ladder.

News and opinion broadcasts are splattered with hosts showing us pictures of their wives, children, moms, dogs, family celebrations, vacations, etc. They’re just like us so we must appreciate them in return.

Oh, and don’t forget to buy their latest new book!

Equally as insidious are the politicians and officials who find those convenient parachutes once they’re forced out of their government jobs and suddenly realize their sweet paychecks have ended.

We have a conservative nonprofit who absorbs newly out-of-work Republicans despite the damage they may have done to the base. Vice President Mike Pence got a “fellowship” with the Heritage Foundation shortly after leaving office. Former Trump border czar Ken Cuccinelli also wound up there until he could get another lucrative gig doing what he did after he was Virginia Attorney General: securing state delegates around the nation AGAINST Donald Trump in 2016. Yes, he’s doing it again now and people like him continue on because they assume we’re all too stupid to notice and donor dollars pay well.

Former politicians and officials get paid “contributor” gigs at CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and broadcast news, no matter why some are no longer employed and compensated by taxpayers (government pensions notwithstanding). Andrew McCabe, John Bolton, Jennifer Palmieri, Marie Harf, Stephen Moore, John Brennan, Kellyanne Conway, William Barr, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Claire McCaskill and Kayleigh McEnany get to blab away uncontested, simply because they’re considered experienced “experts” who can attempt to redirect an ignorant consumer base towards a preferred and approved narrative.

Why do we have such a political and social chasm between men and women voters?

Well, if you have smug media professionals targeting women with intellectually stimulating programming like “The Today Show”, “Good Morning America”, and “The View”, it’s easy to understand why so many see things differently that the rest of the voting blocks. They trust the information is true despite how ridiculous and error-ridden. They specifically look down on their female audience and play to hyper-emotion over substance.

While talk radio is crowded enough with whiners like Dan Bongino, Mark Levin, Charlie Kirk, Steve Bannon and other small market wrist-slitters, everyone and his brother now has a podcast. You know, a product some people pay for to use only once. Talk about a racket.

Podcasts are another vehicle for former politicians, celebrity wannabes and pundit types to fortify your trust in them and others who hope to get a more lucrative media job by out-shocking the competition. They serve as the potential bench of future “talent” to be inflicted on the nation simply because of a dubious social media reach.

Why do we have so many “fact checkers”? Again, because almost all media jobs are dependent on consumers trusting THEM. Anything that may cast doubt on what we’re being told or have been told by the overpaid has to be squelched by all means necessary. Media people seldom admit they’re wrong about anything. The Washington Post and New York Times have not given their Pulitzer Prizes back despite their Trump “Russia collusion” coverage being proven bogus. Whenever the media is proven wrong, their contrition seldom matches the initial air horns. Retractions are buried and on-air corrections take up a couple of sentences before the end of the broadcast.

It’s enough to question just how much all of these people, who get paid to share with us their abundant wisdom, really know and really care about us.

There is an on-air persona and an off-air.

Many of these people are truly horrible and genuinely believe we must believe what they say because their lofty salaries depend on it. While they claim to feel the pain their preferred politicians inflict on us, they’re quite comfortable while telling us all is not that bad. They’re the first to agree on the need to start and/or perpetuate a war their prep-schooled children won’t have to participate in. They’re the first to tell us it’s hot in the summer and drinking water is a good idea because they assume we’re that stupid and they’ll save lives. They can afford an electric car as a status symbol to save the planet while their gas range is off limits. They can and will start race violence in the streets (always great video) and go home to a secured, gated community with appropriate protective measures.

They consider themselves of extraordinary value and we should be damn grateful they exist.

And whenever we’re told about something that “the public doesn’t know” (as if we’re expectedly stupid), it’s because those who are lavishly paid declined to inform the American people for whatever partisan objective.

For them to call us “everyday”, “average” or “ordinary”, that translates as we are exploitable, expendable and don’t you forget it.

Don’t get me started on “workers”….

While many are reporting that the Iran nuclear deal has “stalled”, albeit now because of inconvenient Russia involvement, too many aren’t including why it’s still a bad deal and who (aside from the Iranians) has the most to gain from it. Everything coming from the Biden administration is being taken at face value and little seems to have been learned from the media’s last go-round on the topic.

They were played then and they’re being played now, again, and for the same reason.

The Obama administration exploited the media’s ignorance, thus willing compliance, and even bragged about it when it came to pushing the Iran nuclear deal in 2016.

All these newspapers used to have foreign bureaus. Now they don’t. They call us to explain to them what’s happening in Moscow and Cairo. Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington. The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing. We created an echo chamber. They [the seemingly independent experts] were saying things that validated what we had given them to say.

As it doesn’t take much to spark media outrage, especially when criticized, one would think they’d be clutching the pearls and screeching back at Rhodes in unison. One would think….

Hardly.

When reporters had the chance on Friday to confront Obama about the revelations contained in the Times article, they asked four questions: Three of them were about Donald Trump and one was about the ongoing safety problems with the Washington, D.C., subway system. Zero were about Ben Rhodes or Iran.

This is yet one more reason to disregard the media noise coming from the White House. Many of them know little about what they’re reporting as they couldn’t address relevance to what similarly happened years ago without quickly going to Google on their phones.

Despite all the things we now know were wrong (Trump-Russia collusion, COVID-19 was natural, no 2020 vote fraud, masks work, vaccines are safe and effective, January 6 was an “armed insurrection”, no bio-weapons labs in Ukraine, etc.), there are those in the media and Big Tech who’d be the first to admonish and implement banishment for anyone who dare doubt them and their anonymous, so-called “fact checkers”.

The truth is we, justifiably, have no reason to accept anything from the media just because they say so, especially today.

There was a time when a reporter would have to work in the profession for decades and have a proven track record of excellence to even be considered for a White House correspondence gig. Many of today’s White House reporters are literally a few years out of college and somehow landed the prized position.

It’s important to acknowledge age and life experience-challenged status simply because frame of reference is physically limited by time. Back in the day instead of the evening news for updates of events while happening, many of today’s White House reporters were probably watching the Power Rangers or waiting for Clarissa to explain it all.

So while you consume anything regarding the “Iran nuclear deal”, assure yourself that the majority of the information provided is coming from those who many need to be reminded that this was tried less than seven years ago, how and why it failed, who would benefit, who would be under immediate threat, and why it was shot down.

If they don’t know the answers to those historical facts, they have no business reporting on it today.

Reuters White House photographer Jason Reed describes how the president made his Bin Laden death announcement to a single TV camera, then immediately after finishing, he pretended to speak for the still cameras.

Reed writes:

“As President Obama continued his nine-minute address in front of just one main network camera, the photographers were held outside the room by staff and asked to remain completely silent. Once Obama was off the air, we were escorted in front of that teleprompter and the President then re-enacted the walk-out and first 30 seconds of the statement for us.”

That means the photograph that appeared in many newspapers Monday morning of Obama speaking may have been the staged shot, captured after the president spoke. This type of staging has been going on for decades.

Obviously today’s media is looking for any reason to criticize President Trump, conveniently forgetting their job is to report the news; not incite or provide their personal opinions on it. This was hardly the case in watching at least two media broadcasts where opinions, if not veiled insults, were issued to the public when he returned to the White House after treatment at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for the coronavirus.

And CNN’s Kaitlan Collins is the LAST person to express outrage at the cavalier use of masks in the  White House….

The hypocrisy is so old.

She took an opportunity during a May 15, 2020 White House Rose Garden event to ask President Trump on why some in his administration wear them and why some do not. One would think someone so concerned about holding the Administration consistent with regards to social distance policy and masks would be observant herself.

Must have been because she got an “all clear” and thought the camera feed was turned off.

Then again, we are talking about Kaitlan Collins….

Despite their efforts to force President Trump to respond to the Twitter explosion of #ObamaGate, the media knows exactly what’s happening and their Russia-collusion hoax is imploding, despite their best efforts for over three years, before their eyes.

They know what the newly-released transcripts of Obama-era officials reveal about the lies they said on numerous cable television programs and in print. The media knows everything we know about the misdeeds of federal law enforcement and intelligence employees bent on stopping candidate Trump from getting elected, sabotaging his Transition Team’s effort and derailing his Administration with investigations built from faulty documents and strong-arming those they were investigating.

Why Did Obama Tell The FBI To Hide Its Activities From The Trump Administration?

It can’t be said enough that none of the players involved would ever embark on these tasks without getting a nod from a superior who got a nod from a superior who got a nod on up. At some point then-President Barack Obama had to have not only known, by okay’d all of the nefarious activities now coming to light.

When asking if Obama can be held legally accountable for actions committed during his presidency, the answer is usually “no”, but let’s also not forget that that goalpost has been moved against President Trump for most of his presidency.

The Justice Department’s policy that a sitting president cannot be indicted rests on the assertion that prosecuting a president would so impair his ability to perform the duties of his office that it would amount to an unconstitutional violation of the separation of powers.

Even if there are reasons to question the legitimacy of DOJ’s policy, it is unlikely to change anytime soon. Instead, it’s more important to focus on the policy’s most significant limitation and when it is lifted: whatever protection from prosecution a sitting president enjoys comes to an end when he or she leaves office.

Durham Moving Full Throttle on Russian Probe Review

There’s a possibility Former President Obama could be in legal jeopardy (the case could be made for leading a coup d’etat) and that could be why the Democrat left is so eager to try and laugh off #ObamaGate, discredit (again) Attorney General William Barr, and U.S. Prosecutor John Durham. There are no private citizens who could have been engaged in similar conduct against a sitting United States president and expect to see the outside of a prison cell for the remainder of his or her lifetime. This is the really all those involve are potentially facing and when the heat starts getting applied, some will be more than willing to rat someone out for leniency, if not immunity.

And when some of those rats start point at Obama, there’s going to be only one possible strategy left to be played; one that’s worked so well for so long: the race card. They’ll say President Trump is a racist and the very people saying it will be know liars.

This narrative has already begun and Weija Jiang is the latest useful idiot. There will be more, there always are. The only time you see them on cable news programs is when they can be used and they’ll be willing participants… for free (“exposure”), as usual.

We’re well past kitchen sink when it comes to what’s left for liberals to throw at Donald Trump but the stakes have been raised.

Michael Flynn fiasco will reveal Obama’s truth

The 2020 Election is looming, Democrats have a cringe-worthy candidate and the president who they said was the “smartest ever” may have been proven wrong because he thought he could wreck candidate Trump and depended on a President Hillary to hide the bodies. Not so smart after all and the only excuse Democrats will have is that we’ll find out the truth behind his dirty deeds ONLY because Barack Obama is half black.

Screwed up logic but consider whom we’re dealing with.

Anyone who watches any news conference involving President Trump hears the punctuation between questions with what reminds us of angry teenage girls on the schoolyard. But now these drama queens are White House correspondents who have no respect for the office of the presidency. Calling them out on it is called sexist. Add “bigotry” to the equation and you have Weijia Jiang, CBS News White House correspondent.

Jiang can issue a #JuicySmallett style accusation of racism against a White House official she refuses to publicly name. She can insinuate President Trump is a racist for labeling a pandemic from it’s well-documented place of origin which happens to be, in this case, China. She can be rude and combative with the President during a news conference and when told to settle down, is defended as a victim of sexism.

The American people, as a whole, are not stupid enough to blame Chinese Americans for the Coronavirus and to say there are “dozens” of examples racist intolerance against them is irresponsible at best and as soon as Democrats decide to lift their unconstitutional #LockDown edicts, many of us will rush to frequent our favorite restaurants and shops.

It remains to be see if Jiang will ever acknowledge that the “damage” has been done to ALL businesses, not just Asian American, and if there was any bigotry it’s been from those in power to all of us that don’t.

This is the new age of so-called journalism where CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, PBS News Hour’s Yamiche Alcindor, CBS News’ Paula Reid, Fox News’ Kristin Fisher and Weijia Jiang are now the White House correspondent equivalent of “The Squad” where all sense of professional decorum has been replaced by the sights and sounds of a teenage girl’s tirade after being told she can’t stay out after 10pm on a school night.

Once theses wimmin decide to act in a professional manner, given their important positions, they will accordingly be treated in return.

Los Angeles’ KTLA and CNN covered the respectful attempt of a journalist who in 2009 tried to get a message to then-President Obama against gay marriage. One can only imagine the collective media screech had this happened to Kaitlan Collins.

The encounter between “Georgia Informer” reporter Reverend Brenda Lee and Obama’s Secret Service detail has been scrubbed from KTLA’s website, KABC’s, CNN’s, as well as other news sites.

As NBC News’ Chief White House correspondent Hallie Jackson happily admitted, it’s good journalism to embarrass the President of the United States in front of foreign dignitaries, and in general, disrespectfully bark questions at him whenever her associates like.

And when a seasoned commentator like Wolf Blitzer gives such behavior his personal seal of approval, the entitled young white girls will continue their abhorrent version of journalistic professionalism; behavior few others could even dream of getting away without having the cops called on them.

It’s a good bet CNN’s Kaitlin Collins demands to be respected; a concept she obviously doesn’t believe in reciprocating.

We were taught about “a time and a place”, not to mention the concept of appropriateness.

That was then.

Prior to the 90’s introduction of blogs, one had to be a formally-trained journalist to get a gig in the industry. You had to learn the rules, the dos and don’ts, and you had to work your way up in which you’d learn everything from proper grammar to how to ask the President of the United States questions, and it would normally take quite a few years of proven experience to get such an important opportunity. Most accomplished journalists would be able to boast of numerous well-earned, awards from their industry peers.

That was then.

Today, all you have to be is young and in the right place at the right time and guess where you could end up because we all know Kaitlan Collins was THE most qualified person for a White House journalism gig in all of Washington, D.C.

Kaitlan Collins (born April 7, 1992) attended the University of Alabama, where she originally studied chemistry and later transitioned to journalism, political science and was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. After graduating from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and political science in May 2014, Collins began working as a freelance writer and blogger.

In June 2014, she was hired by The Daily Caller as an entertainment reporter and became the website’s White House Correspondent in January 2017. It was announced that Collins had joined CNN as a White House Correspondent on June 15, 2017 by CNN president Jeff Zucker.

So Kaitlan tried chemistry which must have been too hard, “transitioned” into journalism and political science; two professions that really shouldn’t coexist with any integrity but appears to be fall-backs for the egotistical with average talent. Around a month after graduating she gets hired by a blog as an entertainment reporter; in less than three years she becomes their White House Correspondent before moving on up to CNN White House Correspondent and having that be announced by the channel’s president.

Yeah, success stories like this happen every fucking day.

According to Glassdoor, the average salary for CNN correspondents is $136275. Given Collins is the head White House Correspondent, she enjoys a top-notch salary plus incentives.

Collins may be ready to write entertainment copy for Headline News but White House Correspondent… seriously? Young, white female privilege at the least, especially when it comes to getting a pass for past indiscretions and using the same ol’ liberal bullshit fall-back.

A White House reporter for CNN has publicly apologized after some of her old tweets containing homophobic slurs resurfaced. Kaitlan Collins held up her hands for the “immature language” in the tweets from 2011, six years before she joined the network. “When I was in college, I used ignorant language in a few tweets to my friends,” she wrote late Sunday night. “It was immature but it doesn’t represent the way I feel at all. I regret it and apologize.”

The reporter also said: “Idk if I wanna room with a lesbian.”

It’s never who they are now, but it was before they were busted…?

The purpose of the “Press Pool” concept is if a venue is in an area too small to accommodate a full wall of video cameras and journalists, one news outlet is chosen (via rotation) to place a video camera in the room and the rest of the broadcast media shares the outgoing feed. Was Kaitlan Collins supposed to take advantage of what was supposed to be shared video and shout out questions no other broadcast news organization could? Had she been one of my reporters and I saw her shouting out questions after the president said numerous times, “No questions”, I would have had her in my office and issued a final warning after counseling on appropriate decorum and respect for the office; like the president or not.

Given recent events, my mind can’t stop whirling on her meteoric professional rise, but it’s not totally Collins’ fault.

Journalism standards have gone down that clogged toilet and the lack of decorum and disrespect for inappropriateness was an inevitability. The media is now in collective sympathy mode for the young woman who behaved an a manner that would have gotten her kicked out of a restaurant had she verbally assaulted a movie star; let alone the President of the United States in the Oval Office with a foreign dignitary.

But Kaitlan had questions SHE and the other partisan, political science so-called journalists wanted answered and President Trump should have dropped everything to dutifully respond to the probing questions of a 26-year-old who has risen up the totem pole without accomplishing much anyone can point to… until now.

A real mature, seasoned professional.
