The first woman to run a winning presidential campaign, she has proved herself a convincing voice in the President’s ear. Although Conway has become a less frequent presence on cable news, she remains a tireless defender of the administration, never shying away from a fight.

One other important note: Kellyanne Conway is NOT the first woman to “run” a presidential campaign. She was essentially the late closer.

Without Corey Lewandowski’s leadership out of the box, who knows? Conway wasn’t the starter or middle relief. She inherited a gift: a brilliant candidate who took all the incoming flak from the Democrats and their media, literally did all the legwork and getting the enthusiasm needed was nothing that required the coordination of a campaign manager.

Conway is another of those whose convictions can be bought as long as there’s a professional and monetary benefit. It could be argued that the sentiments of her husband George today were pretty close to hers, that is until she could jump ship to the frontrunner and eventual winner.

Had Donald Trump lost the 2016 election, do you really think Kellyanne Conway would accept blame for the loss or would she pin it on the candidate and those who ran the campaign before her?

Then again, we are talking about those whose principles can be bought so having it both ways comes with the territory.

As he threatens to shut down the southern border, President Donald Trump is considering bringing on a “border” or “immigration czar” to coordinate immigration policy across various federal agencies, according to four people familiar with the discussions. Ken Cuccinelli should be nowhere near a position in an administration he tried, nationally, to derail.

Cuccinelli was successful in stealing Donald Trump’s delegates in Virginia and tried to do so nationwide.

Anti-Trump delegates disrupted the opening day of the Republican National Convention on Monday in a futile effort to force a vote to change convention rules to allow them to cast votes for someone other than presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. Former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, a leading supporter of a roll call vote, threw his credentials to the floor and walked out, claiming party leaders rammed through the voice vote in favor of the convention rules.

It’s unfortunate that President Trump is still not being properly advised as to whom is being brought into his administration as Cuccinelli is just one in a long line of Republican opportunists who’ve been rewarded, despite the damage they caused in 2016.

President Trump plans to install Ken Cuccinelli II as the new director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, placing the conservative activist and former Virginia attorney general at the head of the agency that runs the country’s legal immigration system, administration officials said Friday.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has vowed to block Cuccinelli from getting confirmed for any position.

To make matters worse, the template of superficiality has permeated down to the next generation of so-called “conservative” leaders whose main goal is not to be a living, breathing example of our values but self-promoting provocateurs who go to hostile college campuses: not to share and defend those values but to be video-recorded being met with the expected mayhem for viral social media product and the possibility of the Holy Grail: a segment on Fox News for more self-adulation.

While being given prominent places on the 2018 stage, millennials like Tomi Lahren, Candice Owens, Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk have been knighted the new stars of the movement despite limited life experience and even worse, dubious support for the Republican Party and our president. They are arrogantly honest, albeit of questionable intelligence, and being able to prance from college into a prominent nonprofit gig hasn’t hurt them.

We have Austin Petersen, who ran for president under the Libertarian party, who is a total Never Trumper. We have Ben Shapiro, who is like the leading Never Trump voice, we have libertarian speakers such as Dave Rubin. We want big names, people that draw attention, and you know what? There’s going to be a lot of contradictory statements. We’re cool with that. There’s going to be Alex Epstein in a shirt that says ‘I love fossil fuels’ and we’re going to have speakers talking about how conservatives should better embrace the idea of climate change. It shows that we as Turning Point we embrace conservatives, libertarians, people in the middle.

Perhaps most troubling for an organization that holds up conservatives as the real victims of discrimination in America, Turning Point USA is also alleged to have fostered an atmosphere that is hostile to minorities. Screenshots provided to me by a source show that Crystal Clanton, who served until last summer as the group’s national field director, sent a text message to another Turning Point employee saying, “i hate black people. Like fuck them all . . . I hate blacks. End of story.“

Kirk also has a history of unforced, clumsy remarks.

(Kirk said he was being sarcastic when he made the comment.) Kirk acknowledged in an interview that it is something of an irony that he heads an organization devoted to waging political warfare on campuses when he never actually attended college himself. “I joke that I wasn’t smart enough to go to a four-year school,” Kirk told me, although he noted that he continued his studies at a community college.

As many of these “woke” millennials were either still in high school or early in the college years, there was a time when the Paulies were considered a virus trying to infect the Republican Party.

They were all about infiltration and the forced integration of their libertarian views: views they’ve now re-branded as “conservatarian” and we all know liberals constantly re-brand to fool their opponents.

These are the people who say when they are around libertarians they feel conservative, and when they are around conservatives they feel libertarian. From what I can see the fault lines are that they disagree with libertarians on immigration, foreign policy, and sometimes abortion. And they disagree with traditional conservatives on federalism, on gay marriage, and on drugs.

So we have CPAC throwing at us well-funded #NeverTrumpers (thanks, Foster Friess) who have yet to own up and formally apologize for the inter-party interference they caused in 2016, and those narcissistic “edgy” millennials who spend more time on social media touting how they “destroyed” this person or “blew up” Twitter; not because they said anything really new but because they say they did.

And in yet another astonishing bit of ironic narcissism on display, Shapiro issued the following ironic gem with regards to the “student” movement that arose following the Parkland shooting.

Shapiro comes off as a petulant child to many of us so his words almost come off as a punchline.

Ben Shapiro is 34. That means he was in diapers when some of us were initially pushing back against the Clinton machine and agenda at a time when there was no such thing as a blog or a consumer-ready Internet to distribute thin musings on a moments notice. He is only where he is today because of those who fought, and in some cases, lost much to create forums like those he exploits for personal attention today.

Nothing like having a “talk radio” program, pre-recorded so he can pontificate while not having to lower himself and engage with actual listeners.

Heaping attention and praise upon the modesty-challenged is a reflection on their lack of self-discipline mixed with that delusion of grandeur.

Technically speaking, the 24-year-old Charlie Kirk still lives with his parents, though he spent 338 days on the road last year on Turning Point USA business. On his frequent visits to Washington, D.C., Kirk most often stays at the Trump International Hotel.

Wanna bet he stays in a “suite” that runs from $945 to $4,429 per night? Of course, that doesn’t include food and all the other expenses involved with luxury travel but who cares; it’s not HIS money.

The one thing all of these millennial usurpers have in common? They want fame, fortune, demand access, attention, our support and money while looking down upon us and strategically redefining “conservative principles”.

What Exactly Is a ‘Conservatarian’?

How long does it takes for those with the resources to finally start catching up and vet those who want (not earned)to be stars? Don’t count on the right. We’re truly beginning to question the ability of conservatives in the “media” to actually do their job while acquiescing real reporting, albeit late, to the left.

Even by the whiplash-inducing standards of Trumpworld, Candace Owens’ rise has been fast. In November, amid allegations of racial bias, the conservative campus advocacy group Turning Point USA hired Owens, who is black, as its director of urban engagement.

Owens, suddenly a new face of the American right, was less than two years ago the CEO of an online publication that frequently mocked then-candidate Trump, including conducting a mock “investigation” into his penis size. (The story determined that it was likely very small.) And in a 2015 column for the site lambasting conservative Republicans, Owens wrote that it was “good news” that the “Republican Tea Party … will eventually die off (peacefully in their sleep, we hope).”

How long have we been putting that out there to conservative crickets or arrogant denial?

Indeed, the speed with which Owens has gone from running a frequently anti-Trump, anti-conservative website to being one of the president’s most prominent new supporters illustrates the wild land grab still going on for influence in the pro-Trump ecosystem.

Most of Owens’ writing for Degree180 was not political. Much of it was personal, including essays about her struggle with anorexia, inspirational exhortations, a fierce essay titled “Fuck Girl Code: I Can Hook Up With Your Ex-Boyfriend If I Want,” and advice about how to get prescription stimulants “without so much as a doctor’s evaluation.” (The site seems to have stopped publishing new material in December 2016.)

Granted, we’re not the greatest fans of BuzzFeed, but this was not an exercise in Pulitzer-level digging. It’s just too many on the right could be bothered to look, let alone even know where.

He was approached and took a job with a prominent conservative website and I watched in sadness as it appeared he was given very polished, high production value to his videos and it as though he was being told how to frame and deliver that message: like he was being conservatively micromanaged and milquetoasted before our eyes and it was like it must have been assumed there was no way he could have created the viral nature of his earlier videos on his own thus someone now had to tell him how to do it.

That’s how it came off to this observer and fan.

It appears to be a common perception within the conservative movement that a black person couldn’t possibly be that good at what he or she does and needs to be walked through the process so anything created will be something that won’t embarrass the company. Just where could such an impression have come from and is justified today?

We can thank people like Omarosé Onée Manigault-Newman, or just plain Omarosa.

Long before the easy promotion and near-instant visibility social media delivers, many black Republicans were working on getting out the message (many times in enemy territory), working on campaigns and running for office themselves. Very few, if any were ever offered any real positions of importance within the Republican Party. Instead conservatives embraced the superficially-flawed Stacey Dash and Joy Villa types. Some blacks were offered token positions on Fox News and are predominantly hauled out whenever a “black” issue requires translation to their audience. Blacks who are given positions of responsibility and achieve beyond the wildest expectations of their employers are quickly demoted and find themselves under the supervision of a white person who is far less qualified because if a black person is that successful, anyone can do it.

Exactly what did Omarosa do to get a job in the White House; a job she was obviously ill-equipped to responsibly keep? Exactly, what did Stacey Dash and Joy Villa do for years to be given high profile seats in the Republican Party, and in some cases, in the White House?

I spoke to a very prominent black Libertarian this morning who told me he was offered important appointments in the past and he repeatedly and respectfully declined. I get it. Who needs the hassle of trying to accomplish a job while fending off the racist insults from the left and their media, but look at some of the people who make it in the door and what they do once they get in?

It’s bad enough to be a black person and anyone who sees you walking around in public assumes you’re a Democrat. If you attend any kind of Republican event (and you’re routinely the only black person there), unless you’re introduced, it’s assumed you’ve been brought in as a guest to be exposed to a wonderful new world of conservatism OR you’re possibly a liberal plant.

Of course, not all Republicans are shortsighted. Bo Snerdley has been with Rush Limbaugh for decades and has yet to be replaced by a mediocre simply because if Bo can do it, anyone can. But Rush is special.

Many black conservatives have had to be able to deliver a message to not only friendly conservative audiences but have previously had to do so for hostile consumption; have done so because they deemed said message important to the movement and the country, not just for that self-promotional social media viral moment. Omarosa was ill equipped to counter the slings and arrows that came with being a Trump White House insider because she’s never had to. What kind of message can Joy Villa offer, seeing how she was only a conservative after she appeared in that gaudy Trump gown at the 2017 Grammy Awards? White conservative males only saw tits and ass and white conservative women only saw the material that covered them. Substance was totally overlooked.

#NeverTrumpers and other chameleons have been allowed to infiltrate the highest levels of the Party while those who’ve proven their ability to deliver a message to a wide audience are still on the outside looking in. The Democrats are really no better when it comes to putting blacks in positions of real decision making and/or influence. Almost all of those black pundits the left puts forth have no real power and have been relegated to the niche politics of race their white wonks have little practical comprehension of.

While Sheldon Adelson, Robert Mercer, Foster Friess, the Koch Brothers and Ricketts family dole out millions annually to a variety of conservative nonprofits, not one has ever approached black conservatives with a track record and offered them a sizable budget with an accountant and hired them to do what they do best. Could it be some might be able to find fresh talent and not kneejerk draw from the same wonk trough? Could it be some might be able to create content that wasn’t the predictable click bait issued because anything else would require imagination? Do they even know where to look seeing how too many conservatives only get their information from one news channel left on during all waking hours?

Thanks to the reputations of opportunistic, failed black conservatives-of-convenience and the stink they leave on the rest, trying something different may still be decades off.

Or maybe it could be that mediocre conservatives can’t have anything other than the norm in positions of influence in the movement because to give others who are proven a real chance would expose that mediocrity?

It would really suck if we were given an opportunity to be successful… again.

It’s clear some males in the conservative movement prefer a certain profile of so-called “conservative” public female; a profile that Ms. “Christian” Dana Loesch has appeared to have no problem exploiting for her own financial gain. Some of us are quite secure in our conservative activism (going back to the 1996 Keyes campaign) without rudely shoving it in people’s faces and delegitimizing others simply because they believe uniting for Donald Trump (and NOT voting for Hillary in protest) is the best logical conservative tactic.

And as far as her work “in the trenches”, Loesch should recall this little passage in the Bible she conveniently clings to about those “workers in the vineyard”.

The Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund so far this year has raised $11,791,142. But it appears they’ve only spent $1,254,319 on candidates.

They’re sending out what appears to be rather desperate email calls for money which begs to ask where the $10,536,823 went?

Hopefully someone who’s been to an event sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots can share stories when the TPPs came in and bought refreshments and/or meals, provided transportation and lodging, offered national media exposure and paid speaking engagements to the Tea Party volunteers as often as is provided for the Patriots’ hierarchy.

Ann Coulter and TV host Sean Hannity clashed on Wednesday over the tactics being used by some Tea Party lawmakers in Washington. While Hannity commended lawmakers for taking a stand for their principles, Coulter suggested the movement is being hijacked by “con men” who are “tricking Americans to send them money.”

Tea Party Patriots claim to be representing the Tea Party but to date has given almost no financial assistance to the campaigns of conservatives Matt Bevin, Joe Carr, Tim Scott, Steve King, Dave Brat, Louis Gohmert, and Joni Ernst among others.

To be fair, I also criticized Rep. Michelle Bachmann as one of the creators of the “Tea Party Caucus” on Capitol Hill which she also used as a personal launching pad for her failed presidential run. Many have been using the Tea Party for their own personal gain…

JennyBeth Martin, the Tea Party Patriots’ chairwoman, oversees all its expenditures, meaning she sets her own $15,000 monthly fee for strategic consulting — payments that have totaled $120,000 since July. She also draws a salary as president of the Tea Party Patriots’ nonprofit arm — getting more than $272,000 in the 2012 fiscal year, according to the group’s most recent tax filing.

Her twin salaries put her on track to make more than $450,000 this year, a dramatic change in lifestyle for the tea party activist, who had filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and then cleaned homes for a period of time to bring in extra money.

But again, based on Tea Party Patriots’ panic-laden email appears, they’re running low on cash.

The major parties use terms like “unwinnable” when deciding who to support, regardless of how popular a candidate is with the people. In fact, the Republican Party in particular seems determined to put contributions gathered towards politicians who needed to move on years ago. Tea Party Patriots should be assisting every citizen who sticks his or her neck out to represent a movement that’s been assaulted by the left from Day One, and not act like the establishment party in picking winners and losers.

The Tea Party was (at the time) a beautiful, non-partisan gathering on Capitol Hill to protest the promised “transformation of America” by liberals led by Barack Obama, and for that they were labeled “conservative” and smeared by the media. NONE of those groups and/or entities that have “Tea Party” on their names created it but are unapologetic and bilking millions from retirees, veterans, and concerned Americans for every cent they can get out of them so a few can live a quite comfortable existence.

Hundreds of thousands gathered on “9/12”, as well as those who saw all the people and the potential for dollars they represented.

Fortunately, not all groups that have incorporated “Tea Party” into their names appear to be organizationally top heavy, with those at the top (literally) getting quite heavy.

Like many staunch two-faced representatives of “conthervative printhipleth”, Jenny Beth Martin was very publicly against presidential candidate Donald Trump, until it was financially beneficial for her to be in support of President Donald Trump.
