When it comes to media sensationalizing, Matthew McConaughey is one of many in Hollywood who absolve themselves of the violent depictions of which they are highly paid to perform. Don’t forget, these are the same entertainment hypocrites who create documentaries and/or PSAs to influence public behavior, most of the time for their preferred pet political outcomes, yet they are the same ones who’ll declare the graphic gun violence that permeate movies and television programs in no way influence the potential behavior of some viewers.

Would Matthew McConaughey have taken time out of his professional or leisure schedule had the shooting not happened in his hometown? What gives with his over-the-top praise of politicians; the very people he’s now imploring to do something about gun control?

Could it be he does want to be one of them when the curtain closes on his so-so acting career? What he’s saying now is not what he’s said before.

The actor appeared on the “The Hugh Hewitt Show” recently and when asked if he would consider running for the office of the longhorn state he said, ”I don’t know. I mean, that wouldn’t be up to me. It would be up to the people more than it would me. I would say this: Look, politics seems to be a broken business to me right now. And when politics redefine its purpose, I could be a hell of a lot more interested,” the “Dallas Buyers Club” actor said on the show.

“I want to get behind personal values to rebind our social contracts with each other as Americans, as people again,“ McConaughey told Hewitt.

Seeing how he read his “speech” at the White House press podium and the “values” espoused in some of the acting roles he accepted are questionable, Matthew McConaughey comes off as a self-righteous stooge willing to be used by a callous White House and Democrat Party opting for theatrics because their politics are beyond punishing the American people.

The American people now want to punish them and if it takes getting the services of an entertainment producer to put some flash into the January 6 primetime dramatics or call on an actor to sanctimoniously read his outrage to an awestruck press corp, some people will do anything to suck up to exploiters.

You’d thing a mass shooting would involve a dozen or more victims. The higher the number, the greater the sensationalism for those with agendas.

Did you know to date, there have been 213 mass shootings in the United States so far in 2022? Well, if you count any shooting with a combination of death and/or injury involving four or more people, that appears to be what is counted as a mass shooting.

Thanks to round-the-clock coverage, we know 22 were killed in Uvalde and 17 wounded. But during the week leading up to the Texas school shooting, eight people were killed by gun violence and 53 were injured. There were no “breaking news” stoppages in news broadcasts, in fact fewer even saw national news attention. If one were to only include mass shootings the media deemed relevant, you’d see that 213 number drop significantly.

5/14/22 — Buffalo, New York: 10 killed, 3 wounded
4/3/22 — Sacramento, California: 6 killed, 12 wounded

There are many incidents where a couple dozen or so were wounded but the death count was less than three so it wasn’t deemed worthy of national media and political attention. Despite select mentions of the routine weekly gun carnage in cities like Chicago, because the individual incidents don’t meet the mass shooting numerical criteria (and because the victims are mostly black), they are not awarded the mass designation and the attention such garners.

Politicians and the media don’t care about people until the death count warrants their time, attention, and can advance an agenda’s narrative and mission.

That’s fucked up.

THE 2020 BLAME GAME

The bodies in El Paso were barely cold when Beto O’Rourke started blaming President Trump. “He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country…. We have a president with white nationalist views in the United States today,” the failing Democratic presidential candidate told CNN all Saturday night and Sunday.

Many, including actress Mia Farrow, took to Twitter to blame the rise of white supremacist violence on Mr Trump.

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg said confronting white nationalist terrorism would be embarrassing for a president who “helped stoke many of these feelings in this country to begin with. At best, he’s condoning and encouraging white nationalism,” Mr Buttigieg said.

Senator Kamala Harris of California also found blame in Mr Trump’s use of language, which she said had “incredible consequence. We have a president of the United States who has chosen to use his words in a way that have been about selling hate and division among us,” she told reporters before attending services at a black church in Las Vegas.

Senator Bernie Sanders opened a town-hall meeting with a moment of silence and by calling for universal background checks for firearms purchases and more restrictions on assault weapons.

Gun violence is a problem that always becomes partisan when convenient for the left and they now almost always pin the blame on President Trump, Republicans and their supposed-beholding to the NRA. Of course, whenever we have evolving news events, there’s bound to be some confusion.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, 76, mistakenly referred to the shootings as “the tragic events in Houston today and also in Michigan the day before,” but later corrected himself, according to a pool report. Biden seemingly confused Houston for El Paso and Michigan for Ohio when speaking to donors about the shootings.

But there are also intellectually honest problems with their arguments that legislation has been stalled by insensitive right wingers. In fact, almost every ill in America is laid at the feet of Republicans: illegal immigration, health care, student loan debt, the budget; but there’s a dirty little secret NONE of the Democrats and their media ever mention when addressing those ills.

Democrats had a chance to address and implement almost everything they wanted and punted.

And now they have the nerve to demand Republicans fix what they couldn’t be bothered to lift a finger and address.

SHOOTINGS OF NO NATIONAL IMPORTANCE

Another Democrat consistency is their opportunistic demand for gun restrictions only after a mass shooting happens that involves white people. We very seldom, if at all, hear them offer their condolences and prayers when shootings occur weekly in metropolitan districts they control.

Districts comprised mostly with “people of color”.

Baltimore City Police are investigating after more than a dozen people were shot in the city. From 1am Friday, until 3am Monday, 13 people including a 12-year-old boy were shot in the city. Six have died.

This is not an anomaly but you’d think so if you only consumed the words of Democrat politicians and their national media. Capitol Hill Democrats who represent these areas say nothing about the weekly carnage in their hometowns because the victims are usually black or brown and are thus of little interest. But when we have an Orlando or Aurora or Newtown or Las Vegas, the media will plaster the names and faces of white victims; it’s time for yet another national discussion, assault on the NRA and any Republican who took a dollar from them.

Those who bring this up are, for some strange reason, ignored.

The carnage wrought in that bedroom community by a single gunman wielding an assault rifle with military-style ammunition clips took the lives of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Before those awful 10 minutes, murder was a rare occurrence in Newtown.

Even so, last month’s massacre there got far more attention from the news media and politicians in this nation’s capital than the 260 schoolchildren who were killed in Chicago over a recent three-year period.

There has to reasons for the uptick in mass violence in our country. Many of today’s media acts like this is how things have always been and it’s up to politicians to finally put an end to it. However, that’s narcissistic thinking coming from younger pundits who believe the world only existed during their time of awareness.

When many of us older Americans went to school, there were a lot of guns available and there were no mass shootings there or anywhere for that matter. This IS a fairly recent phenomenon and there’s a lot of possible inconvenient blame to go around.

“And no religion, too”

Only a liberal could find The Ten Commandments offensive. But there’s another aspect of religion that’s sorely missing in the heads of today’s young people moving up the ranks in education: that there’s something greater than themselves. Concern about a possible comeuppance down the road makes a lot of people stop and think about the ramifications of their actions. But when you’re living in today’s it’s-all-about-me society and you’re also told no one has the right to judge you and your actions, anything goes.

DRUG ABUSED

As written earlier, there were no mass shootings for the most part when most of us were children.

There was also another element seemingly missing from society in those days: a cottage industry built on “mental illness”. We have doctors who’ll quickly write prescriptions for a child who we knew as “hyper”. This child will be given a cocktail of drugs that’ll make him or her manageable for lazy, uninspired teachers and parents. We even have a recent addition to school staff: social workers who can (based on their vast medical experience and knowledge) make devastating life decisions for children, recommending them to see physicians who’ll mandate psychotropic drugs be dispensed to students as a condition to remaining in school.

The results can be horrific and are documented.

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Colombine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.

Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.

Steven Kazmierczak, age 27, shot and killed five people and wounded 21 others before killing himself in a Northern Illinois University auditorium. According to his girlfriend, he had recently been taking Prozac, Xanax and Ambien. Toxicology results showed that he still had trace amounts of Xanax in his system.

Adam Peter Lanza, age 20, was prescribed Fanapt, when he killed 26 and wounded 2 in Newtown, Connecticut

Misperceptions happen when we’re forced to rely on the media to keep us informed.

How many times have we had a speculation storm after a mass killer’s name is released, his or her social media accounts are quickly removed leaving the general public at the mercy of the reckless speculation (and/or agendas) of the media.

We’re already hearing the left call out “white supremacist” after the El Paso shootings, based on what’s been released to the public but when killers are one of their politically correct-protected, motivations are hidden as much as possible from the public. Let’s not forget how the media also went out of their way to link President Trump to the mass shooter in New Zealand; a link that turned out not only to be false but never corrected after the smear was distributed.

Maybe that’s why the media instructed the public not to read Brenton Tarrant’s manifesto and just take their word for it….

However, a couple of contextual sentences were intentionally omitted by the media.

The intentional mislabeling, thus masking of a murderous progressive is something we’ve come to expect and the same appears to be happening when it comes to the possible motivation of El Paso shooter and “white supremacist” Patrick Crusius.

A manifesto, allegedly posted by Patrick Crusius, the El Paso shooter, claimed that he was acting, among other things, in defense of the environment.

“The American lifestyle affords our citizens an incredible quality of life. However, our lifestyle is destroying the environment of our country. The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations,” the El Paso shooter wrote.

So humans are a threat to the planet and Crusius lashed out accordingly. Who preaches this to young people…?

TAKE THE MEDIA’S WORD FOR IT?

We hear this mentioned all the time, but with the recent call-out of Representative Elijah Cummings from President Trump on the obvious neglect of districts like Baltimore, the left responded with any criticism of a black politician, on any topic, is racism. That sentiment can, and most likely will, extend to women, other minorities and progressive special interests and we can only imagine what imaginative penalties they could come up with for enforcement.

When anyone can successfully scrub their own social media accounts of embarrassing posts, they can present themselves as someone they are not. As Democrats have been relatively successful in distancing themselves from their murderous legacy of racism, they are now emboldened on dictating the terms of speech and can smear others with impunity.

When gang members kill innocent people on the street, are they labeled by race and speculation of their motives reported? Initially, great care is given not to inflame the masses against a “minority” group. When Muslims kill innocent people in a mall, jumping to conclusions is quite taboo because Islamophobia is a big no-no. When we hear of men sexually abusing boys, gays are NEVER pointed to as a group that can be scrutinized because homophobia is a really big no-no. When women sexually assault their male students or commit other violent acts, they’re seldom sentenced as would be the case if the sexes were reversed because these poor women would be victims of the toxic patriarchy, etc.

On the other hand, progressive Democrats CAN be racist and survive politically and professionally. You don’t have to go back decades or more. Just ask Virginia governor Ralph Northam. They will loudly condemn any violence they can link solely to Republicans and Crusius appears to know our media well.

My opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest predate Trump and his campaign for president. I putting this here because some people will blame the President or certain presidential candidates for the attack. This is not the case. I know that the media will probably call me a white supremacist anyway and blame Trump’s rhetoric. The media is infamous for fake news. Their reaction to this attack will likely just confirm that.

A progressive can shoot a Republican congressman and others on an Alexandria, Virginia baseball field and the media is still very reluctant in labeling him the Bernie Sanders supporter he was. But liberals will quickly lump any and all white people who support President Trump as white supremacist racists, blacks who support him as part of the “blackground”, and everyone else a misguided sellout because they can. Opportunistic Republicans and conservatives, desperate for air time, will join in on condemning the president and his supporters for actions they don’t do.

Monday, August 5, marks the 217th day of 2019. The Gun Violence Archive has reported that there have been 255 reported and verified mass shootings in the United States this year. The number of shootings outweighs the number of days by 38.

While those numbers look horrific, the “255” number cited include incidents where zero were killed and three were injured. Should that really constitute a “mass shooting” for political purposes? We know the answer to that.

When you substitute the word “terrorism” with “mass shooting” and we look at events outside of the United States, you’ll find that we have a long way to go before we really have to avoid those soft target areas. So far, 1,108 people have died in terror attacks around the world (utilizing a variety of lethal weaponry) and those are just the incidents involving “100+ deaths”. In 2019 alone, there were 287 terror incidents in January, 239 in February, 204 in March, 196 in April, 270 in May, 110 in June, 18 in July, and two so far in August. Terrorists must be on that summer vacation with the family.

Of the 86 countries where we have identified mass public shootings, the US ranks 56th per capita in its rate of attacks and 61st in mass public shooting murder rate. Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Russia all have at least 45 percent higher rates of murder from mass public shootings than the United States.

If you take the time to look up killings involving drug cartels, domestic conflicts, and religious persecution, the number must be quite ominous in comparison to what we have in the United States.

As long as the left continues to #Resist the results of a presidential election more than three years after the fact, sow hate and division in our classrooms, via their entertainment industry, justify the denial of entry of Republicans into restaurants or inhibiting their freedom of movement, they’ve created an atmosphere of tumult and angst, inspiring people to lash out in varying degrees.

Liberals grant themselves immunity from the toxicity they create via their political agendas, television and movie productions, video games and “music” but as long as bad things only happen to those of us referred to as “ordinary people” in an El Paso or Dayton, politicians and the protected elite could care less.

At least 52 people were shot and 10 killed in Chicago’s most violent weekend so far this year, leading police Superintendent Eddie Johnson on Monday to declare the uptick a “despicable level of violence.”

Now, can you imagine the outrage if THAT story made national news and instead of happening in an impoverished part of Chicago, this happened on the Upper East Side, Beverly Hills, The Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, La Jolla, Sea Cliff, etc.

We all know the rapid-response, political posturing had such happened in any suburban white neighborhood. We’d see Jussie Smollett-type dragnets round-the-clock for those who committed the violence and there would be highly publicized arrests; not the number of the unsolved the West Side and South Side districts of Chicago have accepted as the norm.

At least 11 people were shot and killed and about 70 others were wounded over the weekend in Chicago, in a spasm of gun violence that police attributed mostly to gangs and that the president’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, used to criticize the city’s Democratic leadership.

This, too, exposes the long-standing fallacy that Democrats are still “the white man’s party” and no horrendous number of black deaths (on the street or in the womb) will make them take any action to help those in the most violent neighborhoods defend themselves.

Meanwhile, the Democrat Party continues to show us whose lives they really value and whose they really don’t.

But alas, activists were given more importance and thousands of students were encouraged to leave their campuses on April 20th to march for more gun control.

Police say 11-year-old Jonathan Benko was taking part in Parkland Middle School’s organized walkout when he and a group of students left the designated walkout area. Police say around 10:30 Friday morning, the group crossed Loop 375 then attempted to cross it again. Benko was the last in the group to cross and was struck by a Ford F150.

Benko sustained serious injuries and was taken to UMC where he died.

The results were inevitable and at least one middle school student didn’t go home that afternoon.

Johnathan’s uncle, Michael Benko, said Wednesday that the family is struggling with the tragedy. He questioned the district’s actions.

“We are aggrieved to know the school refuses to take any responsibility in protecting an 11-year-old child in a walkout that they sanctioned,” Benko said.

Needless to say, Jonathan Benko would be alive today had he been in school where he belonged and not enticed into participating in an obvious Democrat Party voter registration drive for the November midterm elections.

Jonathan, who was 11 years old, was hit by a Ford F-150, which was traveling north on Loop 375 at 10:27 a.m., police and school district officials said. Ysleta Independent School District Superintendent Xavier De La Torre said the boy was with a group of about 12 to 15 students who used the National School Walkout as a way to leave Parkland Middle to go to a park.

It’s an example of how little the left thinks of children and disregarding the obvious: the chances of young “walkout” participants being at physical risk, basically unsupervised on the streets, was very high and the young person being injured or worse was an inevitability.

Students and parents at Parkland Middle School were shocked and devastated when they heard about a student being struck and killed while trying to cross Loop 375.

District officials had anticipated the walkout and tried to be proactive allowing the kids to walk out and assemble on the football field. Administration added extra staff to cover the event and security stood by at the front and back of the school but a group of 12 to 15 kids left the campus.

Some parents feel the district should look into changing policies when it comes to events like the walkout.

“Life is precious. Some people’s life just get cut short. We have to live like this is going to be our last day on Earth,” seventh grader Emerson Garcia said.

A devastatingly cavalier view of human life by a seventh grader and the adults danced around the truth in that effort to absolve themselves of liability.

Ysleta Independent School District Superintendent Xavier De La Torre denied that the school supported the walkout and said the boy’s death was a tragic accident.

“I know the family is going through a lot and I don’t want to be indelicate, (but) that’s the distortion of the truth,” De La Torre said. “The district and the school did not endorse, sponsor or promote the walkout.”

Parkland Middle School had set up a designated gathering spot on the football field for students who planned to walkout to keep them from leaving campus, De La Torre said.

There was a particular posting from October 4th that came across the radar that peaked attention because despite the carnage that happens daily in Democrat, gun-controlled meccas like Chicago (which mainly involves politically insignificant black people), the BBC highlighted the fact that most “mass” shootings are mostly carried out by “white” men.

BTW — As of October 31, there were 569 deaths in Chicago; a death toll mostly involving black-on-black violence Democrats and their media ignore, as the symptoms leading to inner city crime is intentional neglect that can be used for vapid reelection themes and liberal nonprofit and government services growth.

Since 9/11, approximately 110 people have been killed and 495 wounded in the United States by a group not-white and suspiciously omitted by the BCC list with numbers said to be obtained by the FBI and Mother Jones.

Anyone want to take a guess at what that group is?

Muslims have carried out horrific attacks all over the world in concert venues, restaurants, media offices, on the streets, and we NEVER hear Democrats call them out, demanding gun, knife, hatchet, machete, or vehicle control. Instead, attacks are lamented, reasons are found to excuse the motives of the attacker, and they lay blame at anything else, like online recruitment, instead of religion-fueled murderous hate.

Liberal Democrats want to take away the guns of law-abiding Americans and veterans (with PTSD for starters), highlighting the race and possible political beliefs of the shooter (providing he isn’t a Bernie supporter) is fair game, but whenever a Muslim commits mass carnage, Americans are reminded who the real victims are….

While “backlash” against Muslims after an attack is something yet to be enumerated, aside from the hysterics coming from Council on American-Islamic Relations or the Southern Poverty Law Center, the major contribution of Muslims on our society since our 9/11 awareness has been increased screening inconvenience at airports, ugly barriers on streets and on sidewalks, not to mention the “special treatment” instead of the equal treatment they demand.

The assertion that gun violence is a “white male” problem is misleading at best, a blatant political lie at worst. Deliberately omitting the statistics of those suffering from gun violence in poor Democrat districts as well as those they consider a protected minority is what we’ve unfortunately come to expect from the media, both in the United States and abroad.

Celebrities call for US gun law reform, express condolences after Vegas shooting

Let’s not blow off how many of these celebrities have made millions of dollars in productions where they’re depicted shooting off dozens of rounds from cool-looking, exotic weaponry and killing the many people who had it coming.

That lasted about a week and while celebrities will take time from their important schedules to lecture us about the scourge of gun violence in America, the Hollywood body count grows in proportion to their bottom lines.

From Sept. 22-28, the four top live-action movies — Kingsman: The Golden Circle, American Assassin, It and mother! — contained 212 incidents of gun violence, 108 of them involving automatic weapons similar to the ones used by Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock.

And they sure make gun violence look pretty.

Of course, those who create and are paid handsomely to participate in Hollywood body counts are the first to absolve themselves of any responsibility for any actions their television shows, movies and/or video games may inspire.

It’s absurd for a movie director or game designer to say, “This is just entertainment; it doesn’t mean anything.” And just as television and movies can affect how we think about love or work or death or beauty, they might be able to change how we think about violence, which is why those who produce our culture should be as thoughtful as possible about all the messages they send.

Any media outlet that recites there’s no evidence to back up the assertion that violent sensory overload of onscreen violence doesn’t desensitize thus may inspire consumers to carry it out, is probably owned by a corporation that produces and distributes them. Any admission of responsibility could open them up for numerous, massive lawsuits (which is why no entertainment company will EVER make such a declaration).

The news and information media should acknowledge the proven scientific connection between virtual violence and real-world aggression and the current consensus of credentialed experts in this field and should avoid equating unscientific opinions and industry marketing tracts with peer-reviewed and vetted scientific research.

Some scientific consensus’ are given more credibility than others.

Gun control is never a political talking point in need of another national discussion when the body count gets into the dozens in black neighborhoods over a weekend in a gun-controlled Democrat district, or even when a Republican congressman is shot during a baseball practice by a Bernie Sanders supporter.

What’s most hypocritical is that those using Las Vegas as a rallying cry for gun control are some of the most protected people in the country; celebrities who consider themselves more important than “ordinary people” and are most probably shielded by someone with… wait for it… a gun.

As for our concerned politicians expressing outrage today, they do so within federal buildings with armed guards and metal detectors because they also deem themselves more special than those who are forced to pay for their salaries and protection.

Oscars Security: LAPD Will Have Over 500 Officers On Hand at Red Carpet
More than 500 officers will be on hand, many of them working overtime, to ensure the safety of the 90th Academy Awards, along with firefighters, police helicopters and agents from the FBI. Private security guards from Security Industry Specialists will work the inside of the theater.

The city of L.A. bills the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for security, street closures, and other expenses related to the event. This year, the cost is $340,000, up from $300,000 for the last several years.

We’re patiently waiting for the first noble celebrity to announce he or she has disarmed a bodyguard to show they are going to abide by what they’re calling for the rest of us to live with… at taxpayer expense.
