Sanctimonious Hollywood Celebs Intrude on Sunday Night Football

Some of us were minding our own business, enjoying a nice day of National football League viewing, when the following public service announcement hit our television screens….

The NFL will air the “No More” campaign anthem Sunday during all NFL broadcasts. The ad features famous comedians and actors who have taken a stand against domestic violence, including “Law and Order: SVU” actors Ice-T, Mariska Hargitay and Ezekial Dann Florek.

The video was released by the Joyful Heart Foundation, an organization that is striving to prevent domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

Fairly irrelevant Hollywood celebrities just HAD to let us know how we should be aware of domestic abuse in the NFL, as if men watching football telecasts are the only ones who commit violence and we’re now put on notice.

That being said, I wonder when this ad will be aired…?

If this “Joyful Heart Foundation” truly is interested in the eradication of child abuse, they may wish to direct their attention to the classroom where the cases of abuse on children is hundreds of times greater than the incidence of domestic abuse in the NFL.

That is, if trendy activism doesn’t get in the way.
