When some writer type presented the story to someone at Universal Pictures of a group of elites hunting down “deplorables” for sheer sport and gleeful revenge, someone had to green light it. Someone at Universal believed there’d be an audience that would identify with the “satire”.
They thought it would be a hit!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, characters in the film refer to the victims as “deplorables,” which is what Hillary Clinton famously dubbed Trump supporters during the 2016 election. The report noted that a character asks, “Did anyone see what our ratf–ker-in-chief just did?”
“At least The Hunt’s coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables,” a character responds, according to THR.

Hollywood (as well as many on the left) has had a longtime obsession with the death of Republicans.
“You know, I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease.”
— Julianne Malveaux on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, 1994
“Death of a President” was given “critical acclaim” for its depiction of the assassination of President George W. Bush while he was still in office. THAT was art and those who saw it otherwise should just get over themselves and lighten up.
In the early spring of 2011, I had the honor of being asked to participate in a futuristic movie about a group of Panther-types who decided to murder abortion doctors for the decades-long, documented targeting of blacks.
The only problem was those on the left, and even some on the right, felt that was crossing the line.
A few in the media didn’t see the “satire” in “Gates of Hell”.
The film has inspired outrage. Pro-choice proponents call it an outright attack on women’s reproductive rights. Equating abortion with black genocide has long been known as a hot-button issue. Critics wonder if conservatives and Republicans are using the issue as a ploy to draw black supporters to their pro-life movement to help take down abortion laws.
“When we saw the trailer, we were appalled,” said Dionne Turner, communications coordinator for SisterSong, Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective, an Atlanta-based organization. “We didn’t want to give it any credibility at all. Women should have the right to make the choice for themselves without having to deal with such negativity.”
“It’s a fascinating topic and plot, a documentary from the future about how terrorists wage war to get revenge for black genocide,” producer Molotov Mitchell, a 32-year-old white conservative from North Carolina said. “It’s a fascinating thriller. This film is in no way a call to arms or promoting violence, of course. It’s just a fascinating theoretical portrait of what could happen in the future.”

At least some on the left understood the non-apologetic anti-abortion politics in Gates of Hell and didn’t assume this an invitation to violence.
WorldNetDaily’s Molotov Mitchell is the executive producer of a new film about a future where abortion is outlawed after black terrorists systematically murder abortion doctors. Mitchell is one of the many abortion rights opponents who have embraced the notion of “abortion as black genocide.” This claim, propagated by films like Maafa 21 and numerous billboard campaigns, holds that abortion clinics are attempting to exterminate African Americans. The film is styled as a documentary from 2016 about how in 2014, a Black terrorist group called “Zulu 9” and its members, who have names like “Pinky,” attack abortion clinics and murder abortion doctors. Mitchell, who is white, recently defended the film, saying it “casts a cinematic vision of what a post-abortion America could look like.”

If little white girls were being killed on screen… whoops, how many times has that plotline been used in Hollywood. Conservatives saved their outrage for something really provocative.
This is beyond words. The eclipse of reason, sanity and decency. A producer by the name of Molotov (can’t make this stuff up) has made a film about a Black terrorist group, called Zulu 9, that goes after abortionists for 40 years of Black genocide. The movie is called, The Gates of Hell. See the trailers, and then the commentary below them.
Once again, Black Americans are portrayed as gangster thugs whose only depth is how much their ammo clip can hold in their automatic weapons. Blacks are consistently portrayed as hopelessly prone to violence as the only solution to what ails them. Most of all, I don’t want this film to ever see the light of day. It’s very premise is antithetical to the pro-life movement.

Like the pro-life movement has had any documentable success in even addressing, let alone ending the black genocide.
Given the relative silence from liberals today, some just may see “The Hunt” your typical, Hollywood mass murder entertainment.
Universal will not be releasing Blumhouse’s The Hunt on September 27 as planned. Deadline hears that a collective decision was made by Universal leadership, led by Donna Langley, with The Hunt filmmaking team. For this particular film, it’s better to wait. The news of Universal canceling The Hunt comes in the wake of the studio putting the brakes on the pic’s marketing campaign in the wake of the mass shootings in El Paso, TX, Dayton, OH and Girloy, CA.
The studio released the following statement this morning: “While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for The Hunt, after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film. We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film.”
— Deadline, 8/10/19
The Hunt has been delayed. The “deplorables” have won this round.
