Has CNN’s Chris Cuomo Let the Hydroxychloroquine Cat Out the Bag?

Rush Limbaugh asked a very relevant question.

You think Fredo Cuomo’s taking the drug? You think Fredo has taken chloroquine? How do we know that? How do we know that he’s taking…?
Rush Limbaugh, 4/3/20

You’d think, given media reports over the last couple weeks, he wouldn’t go near it but if Chris Cuomo walks out of his home quarantine and dares admit what his treatment was, CNN and other may have to be dragged kicking and screaming that they too were very wrong.

After repeatedly mocking President Trump for suggesting on March 19 that hydroxychloroquine could be an effective treatment for coronavirus, media organizations have begun acknowledging that the drug — now approved for emergency use to treat coronavirus by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) — may be useful after all.

Journalists and top Democrats have beaten a similarly hasty retreat from their previous claims that Trump’s ban on travel from China was both xenophobic and ineffective. But media outlets’ misinformation on hydroxychloroquine was unique because it involved not simply policy disagreements but also suggestive medical advice and directives that could have dissuaded some from seeking certain treatments.
Fox News, 4/3/20

The media pummeling of President Trump and supporters advocating the use of hydroxychloroquine was predictably harsh and relentless.

Why would the “journalists and top Democrats” now be beating a hasty retreat? Could it be that the cat may soon be out of the bag and the American people (if not the people of the world) may soon find out hundreds of thousands of deaths may have been totally unnecessary?

It appears President Trump has proved them ignorant, arrogant and wrong… again.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs literally threatened all doctors and pharmacists in the state who prescribe or dispense hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19. The agency’s March 24 letter warns physicians and pharmacists of professional consequences for the prescribing of hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine). Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding as production of this medication needs to be ramped up, the letter deviates into open threats of “administrative action” against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.
The Detroit News, 3/26/20

Whitmer’s since changed her tune and hydroxychloroquine is the bee’s knees in Michigan.

After being accused of “banning” the use of a potential coronavirus drug, Michigan is now leading the nation’s largest study on whether hydroxychloroquine can be used to treat COVID-19.
Clevescene.com, 4/3/20

If hydroxychloroquine is so questionable, why is there now a rush to produce and obtain it?

Very intelligent journalists were also very wrong in their reporting but as usual, their retractions and apologies seldom match the volume level of their accusatory headlines.

Several media organizations that confused the chloroquine medication with chloroquine phosphate later issued corrections. The New York Times, though, all but accused Trump of recommending the same substance in the fish-tank cleaner.
Fox News, 4/3/20

Anyone wanna bet doctors of privileged journalists and top Democrats may have have a pack of these bad boys on standby for a potential walk in? And just why would journalists and top Democrats delay a potential cure from the American people? Could it be the routine demands of the federal bureaucracy and scientific/education class: attention, credit and funding?

The most promising answer to the pandemic will be a vaccine, and researchers are racing to develop one. Mr. Trump’s inappropriate hype has already led to hoarding of hydroxychloroquine and diverted supplies from people with other maladies who need it. His comments are raising false hopes. Rather than roll the dice on an unproven therapy, let’s deposit our trust in the scientists.
Washington Post, 3/25/20

Yeah, “hoarding” from people “who need it”….

The federal government, as we all know, is a behemoth that relies on the American people to feed it and occasionally has to justify its existence. At a time when all hell is breaking loose, several government agencies and colleges are looked at for results and it looks like it’s in their best interest to be the ones to come up with the remedy, let everyone know it was them who came up with the remedy, but not do it so fast as to jeopardize their desire to be fed at our expense for the next few years.

What’s the urgency for federal employees who, unlike most of the nation, don’t have to worry about their next paycheck?

For example, the annual budget for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was near $6.6 billion BEFORE additional Coronavirus funding.

But here’s a real hint at why we’re at where we’re at today….

The mission of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is to enhance and protect the health and well-being of all Americans by providing for effective health and human services and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services.

The Budget proposes $94.5 billion in discretionary budget authority and $1.3 trillion in mandatory funding for HHS. It reflects HHS’s commitment to making the federal government more efficient and effective by focusing spending in areas with the highest impact.

There’s a lot of taxpayer money on the table and imagine how much more they could get, the more that could be hired, and bonuses and raises that could be dispersed if these entities could hold up their hands and shout out they found the cure for Coronavirus. They’d be like the first responders after 9/11. Some would find their money no good at restaurants and bars. They would be heroes and it would be more than a decade before they’d have to come up with good reasons for a budget increase from Capitol Hill.

All that is currently at risk when the most mocked, yet effective remedy may be currently and readily available.

Hydroxychloroquine was overall chosen as the most effective therapy from a list of 15 options (37% of COVID-19 treaters).

•75% in Spain, 53% Italy, 44% in China, 43% in Brazil, 29% in France, 23% in US and 13% in UK.

Given the strategic importance of this topic, a total of 6,227 physicians (in 30 countries) across all specialties were sampled.

Is it cynical to think there are many in our federal government that have no problem seeing people hurt if they could damage President Trump and get paid for it at the same time?

Doctors are prescribing drug that may help treat coronavirus for family and friends: “Unethical and selfish”

It’s been a recurring theme on this website how things take on an added importance should something bad happen to a politician, celebrity entertainer, media personality and/or athlete.

Cuomo’s younger brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, contracted the COVID-19 virus and talked about his brother’s bout with the disease, but never indicated to reporters if the CNN host was being treated with the anti-malarial drug.

“Governor, you’re gonna tell me that your brother got really sick, and he didn’t get hydroxychloroquine?” Steve McLaughlin of Rensselaer County asked. “Really? We’re supposed to believe that? I doubt it.”
Washington Examiner, 4/7/20

Anyone wanna bet Chris will assert his medical treatments an out-of-bounds, private matter?

All eyes should be on Chris Cuomo and now fellow CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin who’s also tested positive for the Coronavirus.

It would be interesting to know what the first prescription from her doctor will be…?

UPDATE

This is unfortunate but not unexpected.

Chris Cuomo announces wife has virus: It breaks my heart

Can you imagine how merciless the left and their media would be if a conservative said he or she would be self-isolating from family with only a basement door separating them and then announcing a member caught Coronavirus?

Chris Cuomo’s biggest fear has come true –his wife Cristina Greeven Cuomo has tested positive for coronavirus a little over two weeks after his own diagnosis.

Up until this point, the 50-year-old magazine editor, whose symptoms appear to be on the milder side with loss of taste and smell, had been taking care of her husband, who has been quarantined in their basement, and giving updates on his health on her Instagram account. Her last post on April 13 revealed it was day 18 of his own battle with the virus. Throughout, the Purist editor-in-chief has been making sure to give him “good foods, dr. Linda’s herbs + homeopathy and lots of vitamins necessary for this time + non-toxic quinine (Cinchona Officialis –Peruvian Bark) to combat the oxygen-eating virus.”

Cristina also made sure to give Chris a “stress-free diet (that isn’t taxing on the liver and doesn’t consume energy).” Some of the meals included cooked foods like soup, lentil, chicken, legumes + vegetables, and she avoided raw foods since those take a lot of energy to break down. Acknowledging that “food is medicine,” she also noted: “This is a virus of isolation, so one of the best remedies for any illness is simply [heart emoji] + humor.”
Hola!, 4/16/20

Obviously there is contact thus that self-quarantine was a joke, possibly just for public consumption.

The question remains, how how will Chris’ brother Governor Andrew continue to limit access to hydroxychloroquine to the public and when will he make sure his family gets it under the table and out of view from the public?

Really sad when the media’s hatred of Trump doesn’t stop with tens of thousands of people taking hydroxychloroquine prescribeded by doctors are getting better. Rahm Emmanuel’s 18 month Doom and Gloom prediction of the virus is what CNN/MSNBC are hoping for. It doesn’t matter what time of day I switch from Fox to fake news they are still trying to destroy our President and country. Biden is leading Trump in all the polls. If you really believe that go to any sports book and put your money on Biden. You will find out Biden is a long shot ( more fake news).

“No corroboration, no facts” like the FDA, New York Times, USA Today, Salon, New Yorker Magazine, Boston Globe, NBC News, Vox, Detroit News, The Guardian, Fortune, Times of India, Washington Post, CNN, Fox News and more. That is, unless you consider them Fake News? We were just pointing out the incorrect, misleading reporting and subsequent hypocrisy of the media and politicians.

I had the virus and used chlorquine/zinc when things started worsening. With hours, the tighness in my chest went away. The next day I was practically normal. Read the studies and science, before you shoot your mouth off
