WaPo: ‘Right Wing’ is Violence Rising; Mutes Routine Left Wing Mayhem

It’s called bias-by-omission for a reason and the left is really good at it. For too many, if they didn’t see or hear about it on their favorite news source (New York Times, Washington Post, NPR, Democracy Now!, CNN, MSNBC, etc.), it didn’t happen, so it’s understandable common sense can be challenged.

Over the past decade, attackers motivated by right-wing political ideologies have committed dozens of shootings, bombings and other acts of violence, far more than any other category of domestic extremist, according to a Washington Post analysis of data on global terrorism. While the data show a decades-long drop-off in violence by left-wing groups, violence by white supremacists and other far-right attackers has been on the rise since Barack Obama’s presidency — and has surged since President Trump took office.
Washington Post, 11/25/18

A “a decades-long drop-off in violence by left-wing groups”… really?

Maybe this is where the left can play word games to further their intentional deception by using the operative word “groups”, implying organized violence as opposed to a lone Bernie supporter who tried to kill federal lawmakers and their staffs.

BTW — That insignificant incident was afforded two sentences in paragraph 22.

Among the most deadly left-wing attacks were the 2016 killings of eight police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge by gunmen sympathetic to the Black Lives Matter movement. One of the most prominent was last year’s attack on Republican members of a congressional baseball team, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (La.). The gunman, James Hodgkinson, had raged against Trump online and was a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

There were a few more “assassinations” of police officers and sheriffs all over the country following President Obama’s anti-law enforcement rhetoric after the deaths of young black men; too many of whom would be alive today had they been home at a decent hour and not out committing crime. Yes, that’s judgmental and also a reason why millions of black men over the age of 50 are still alive today.

While the Washington Post will have too many believing that political violence is all the rage on the right, even some liberal news outlets had to allow a more accurate depiction be printed.

You need not cross the shining seas to experience violence, destruction of property and a general dismantling of liberal values from the political left. You could simply visit America’s elite college campuses like Yale or Middlebury or Berkeley, where tomorrow’s leaders attempt to shut down conservative voices with protest or riots. At Middlebury, rioting students landed liberal professor Allison Stanger in a neck brace for the crime of defending a conservative academic’s right to speak. At Berkeley, mobs of students created a “war zone” ahead of a planned visit from conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, injuring Trump supporters and causing $100,000 in damages.

Or head to Portland, Ore., one of the most liberal cities in the nation in the heart of the progressive Pacific Northwest, which this month Politico labeled “America’s Most Politically Violent City.” The progressive paradise — where Republicans are virtually an extinct species — has witnessed millions in damages attributed to the same types of anti-fascists-in-name-only that kept Hamburg residents paralyzed in fear this month. A “counter-protest” to a planned pro-Trump rally landed 14 antifa in jail for attacking the police with explosives and bricks.

Witness the blood-soaked congressional baseball field in Alexandria, Va., site of the June attack on U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and other Republicans batting up for their annual bipartisan game. James Hodgkinson, a “fervent supporter of progressive politics,” showed up to the field with a rifle, a handgun and a hit list of Republicans. As Scalise fought for his life, MSNBC host Joy Reid felt conflicted: The attempted assassination was a “delicate thing” because of Scalise’s conservative views like opposition to gay marriage. “Are we required in a moral sense to put that aside in the moment?” she wondered. Yes, Joy, you are. The shooting of a mainstream, congressional Republican leader is reprehensible, and in no way justifiable.
Chicago Tribune, 7/18/17

This is not to say there are no troublemakers on the right. There are, but way too many times they are the small in number and rather insignificant.

But it’s also helpful to accept a pattern.

These small and insignificant “right wing” groups (that many Republicans and conservatives have never heard of, until…) plan a protest. The left hears about it, mobilizes hundreds to counterprotest via social media, the alleged right wing group mobilizes hundreds in response and we have a Charlottesville where people are injured, killed… and it’s blamed on the right. Had the tree fallen with no liberal to hear it, think of all the dollars saved and lives spared.

When the left organizes a protest, business owners routinely board up their storefronts as routine preparation. A massive law enforcement presence is mobilized. You see people in blue safety vests with large white “ACLU” letters reminding those with ill intent whom to see once they get arrested. Large areas are reserved for the detention of agitators.

While the right protests for free speech, the left uses words that imply a pending outcome of violence. They defy common rules of decency with displays of vulgarity to inflame “both sides”.

For too many in the national news media, riots in primarily black neighborhoods make for great television and at least one old fart media pundit erroneously labeled the well-known, mostly white #Antifa an “African American organization” and has yet to issue a mea culpa, let alone an on-air correction.

Probably because their masks and clothing are black. It couldn’t be anything else, right?

The left is triggered into conniptions when anyone dares compare the violence on the right and left. President Trump was vilified for a few news cycles after the death of a Charlottesville protester when he condemned “both sides” while anyone with an Internet connection can find far more examples of massive protests in metropolitan areas, the intentional disruption of uninvolved commuters, and the millions of taxpayer dollars it always takes during and after left wing demonstration that almost always take that violent “mostly peaceful” turn.

It’s past the point when the media tells us to look one way, it’s best to look the other.

And let’s not forget how the left and their media poo-poo the numerous hate hoaxes meant to fraudulently blame the right for continuing liberal dementia.

But it’s also best to remember what liberal leadership thinks of their own and we see why the Washington Post’s bullshit has a stink that will stick long before it’s stepped in.

Smash & Grab, Sketchy Neighborhood: When Bad Things Happen to the Media

To a media that looks down on their viewers, our bad fortune justifies their paychecks.

But when bad things happen to liberal journalists, it’s worthy of its own segment while avoiding inconvenient truth.

Let’s not forget who has run Baltimore and Maryland for nearly all of the last 40 years. The men and women in charge have been Democrats, and their governing ideas are ‘progressive’. The dysfunctions of the blue-city model are many, but the main failures are three: high crime, low economic growth and failing public schools that serve primarily as jobs programs for teachers and administrators rather than places of learning.
The Blue-City Model, Wall Street Journal, 4/28/15

District of Columbia

Democrats hold 11 of the 13 seats on the D.C. Council, and independents fill the other two seats. Democrats also have the mayor’s office, the attorney general’s office, the majority of the school board and the office of the District’s nonvoting congressional representative.
Washington Times, 3/11/18

San Francisco

California has an abundance of poverty and a shortage of housing. Crime, energy prices, rent and the general cost of living are increasing. Our tax burden is one of the highest in America. Californians pay 40 percent more than the national average for their energy. All of this is the predictable result of state laws and regulations that the elites can afford but that make the rest of California poorer. One party, the Democrats, enjoys unchallenged control of California government and for a generation has been actively ignoring basic economic principles to implement its progressive policies.
San Francisco Chronicle, 10/5/17

And these are just from 2018.

When these bad things occur in Democrat-controlled municipalities and are committed by protected minorities, the amount of politically-correct tip-toeing by their media is near hilarious because these incidents are not surprising for those with common sense instead of delusions of grandeur.

#Shithole Poll: Who Do YOU Believe, Durbin or Cotton and Perdue?

It didn’t take much for Democrats to take the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) negotiation to a new low, seeing how they had no intention of reaching any kind of compromise with President Trump.

As for what was said during the negotiations, it just comes down to whom you believe.

President Donald Trump on Friday offered a partial denial in public but privately defended his extraordinary remarks disparaging Haitians and African countries a day earlier, according to a person who spoke to the president as criticism of his comments ricocheted around the globe.

In his meeting with a group of senators, he had questioned why the U.S. would accept more immigrants from Haiti and “shithole countries” in Africa as he rejected a bipartisan immigration deal, according to one participant and people briefed on the remarkable Oval Office conversation.
Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the only Democrat in the room, said Trump had indeed said what he was reported to have said. The remarks, Durbin said, were “vile, hate-filled and clearly racial in their content.” He said Trump used the most vulgar term “more than once.”
Washington Post, 1/12/18

The majority of the media ran with Durbin’s assertion but few repeated that some in attendance never heard the president saying the word in question until it was in their face.

The take-our-word-for-it media also neglected to tell the public that Senator Durbin has a history of lying to the media, about meetings in the White House, and directly to the American people. A fairly important point that puts anything he said (or will say) in proper context.

9/30/14: Durbin Caught Lying About IRS Contact at Chicago Tribune Editorial Board Session
Dick Durbin flat-out lied to the Tribune editorial board. This is important because we don’t know how deep Dick Durbin’s role was in the IRS scandal that he himself characterized as reminiscent of the worst abuses of the Richard Nixon era.
— Jim Oberweis, Illinois State Senator, 25th District

10/23/13: Both the (Obama) White House and House speaker’s office denied his claims
Sen. Durbin’s accusation is a serious one, and it appears to have been invented out of thin air. The senator should disclose who told him this account of events, retract his reckless allegation immediately, and apologize.
— Brendan Buck, Speaker Boehner spokesman, statement
10/1/13: Sen. Dick Durbin gave false facts about his own daughter in Obamacare speech
Sen. Dick Durbin movingly described his sick child’s preexisting condition as a reason to support Obamacare last week, but the Illinois Democrat neglected to mention that his late daughter was easily covered by existing insurance and sent her to one of the best children’s hospitals in the country, to which he earmarked millions of dollars from 2002-2010.

The media (national and local) are asking the American people what their thoughts are on what Durbin claims the president said; not if they believe he actually said it, so we ask you….

On the "shithole" comment, who do YOU believe?

Let’s not forget as mentioned in a previous piece, “according to the Constitution, a congressman and/or senator can say ANYTHING they want about ANYONE on the floor and can’t be held in any way liable in any body outside of that building.”

They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.
United States Constitution (Article I, Section 6, Clause 1)

Well, we will question him because there IS cause and justification for doubt.

Most notably, it was former Senator Harry Reid who repeatedly went to the floor and accused then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney of not paying his taxes and when called on his inaccuracy after the election, he casually replied “He didn’t win, did he?” So we all know Democrats are not beyond blatantly lying on protected office hours and the media is okay with that.

And we won’t get into the vile comments liberal Democrats have publicly shared regarding President Trump and his supporters; sexist, racist, anything goes.

And by the way, President Obama got a pass when referring to Libya…

So we actually executed this plan as well as I could have expected: We got a UN mandate, we built a coalition, it cost us $1 billion—which, when it comes to military operations, is very cheap. We averted large-scale civilian casualties, we prevented what almost surely would have been a prolonged and bloody civil conflict. And despite all that, Libya is a mess.”

Mess is the president’s diplomatic term; privately, he calls Libya a “shit show,” in part because it’s subsequently become an isis haven—one that he has already targeted with air strikes. It became a shit show, Obama believes, for reasons that had less to do with American incompetence than with the passivity of America’s allies and with the obdurate power of tribalism.
The Atlantic, 4/16

… but that was Obama.

Why the Arrogant, Liberal Media Needs Remedial Training in Journalism

We’ve presented multiple examples of media bias and their arrogance in defending their deceptive edits, bias-by-omission, and/or errors. We’ve also been witness to that arrogance when they break the most fundamental rules of journalism, like relying on the word of someone who won’t go on the record.

FBI-CIA Russia Hacking Claims: Anonymous Sources Were Once Taboo
Protecting ‘Anonymous Sources’: Graham to Make it Easier for #LyingMedia
Are WaPo ‘Sources’ and ‘Officials’ Real or Fake Trump Impeachment Fuel?

Of course, it took someone who had reach for our reminders to be validated, along with sloppy reporting from some of our nation’s more important news outlets.

Then again, we’re really not talking about serious journalism but political advocacy and things get really dicey when you call the media on the basic rules regarding “sources”.

Calling out the media malpractice drew the expected response of faux exasperation and outrage because anyone dared not believe, thus respect them.

U.S. media outlets are very good at demanding respect. They love to imply, if not outright state, that being patriotic and a good American means that one must reject efforts to discredit them and their reporting because that’s how one defends press freedom.

But journalists also have the responsibility not just to demand respect and credibility but to earn it. That means that there shouldn’t be such a long list of abject humiliations, in which completely false stories are published to plaudits, traffic, and other rewards, only to fall apart upon minimal scrutiny. It certainly means that all of these “errors” shouldn’t be pointing in the same direction, pushing the same political outcome or journalistic conclusion.
Glenn Greenwald, The Intercept, 12/9/17

The media’s honesty and journalistic integrity can lead to inflaming the public and even negatively affecting the stock market and last week was one of the worst ever when it came to their errors and the real world ramifications.

Greenwald’s soul search has many examples but his conclusion is spot on, even more devastating is this is coming from a bonafide liberal.

Friday was one of the most embarrassing days for the U.S. media in quite a long time. The humiliation orgy was kicked off by CNN, with MSNBC and CBS close behind, and countless pundits, commentators, and operatives joining the party throughout the day. By the end of the day, it was clear that several of the nation’s largest and most influential news outlets had spread an explosive but completely false news story to millions of people, while refusing to provide any explanation of how it happened.

One should expect with journalistic “mistakes” is that they sometimes go in one direction and other times go in the other direction. That’s exactly what has not happened here. Virtually every false story published goes only in one direction: to be as inflammatory and damaging as possible on the Trump-Russia story and about Russia particularly. At some point, once “mistakes” all start going in the same direction, toward advancing the same agenda, they cease looking like mistakes.

Anyone whose taken the time to consume something other than the major American news outlets understand the media took sides decades ago. But because of Rush Limbaugh and later the blogosphere, the media’s influence has dwindled while their blatant partisanship has ramped up to include liberal-trained poly-sci majors planted to occupy so-called anchor seats.

No matter your views on those political controversies, no matter how much you hate Trump or regard Russia as a grave villain and threat to our cherished democracy and freedoms, it has to be acknowledged that when the U.S. media is spewing constant false news about all of this, that, too, is a grave threat to our democracy and cherished freedom.

So numerous are the false stories about Russia and Trump over the last year that I literally cannot list them all.

Yes, there ARE that many. Contrast that with the number of false news stories about their beloved Barack Obama.

The press survived Obama’s persecution, and it will survive Trump’s mean words
“Over the past eight years, the administration has prosecuted nine cases involving whistle-blowers and leakers, compared with only three by all previous administrations combined,” New York Times reporter James Risen wrote in a Dec. 30, 2016 column. “It has repeatedly used the Espionage Act, a relic of World War I-era red-baiting, not to prosecute spies but to go after government officials who talked to journalists.”

With him, they were very careful because he DID threaten those who spoke to the media without his blessing, but back to Greenwald’s lecture.

But what it means most of all is that when media outlets are responsible for such grave and consequential errors as the spectacle we witnessed yesterday, they have to take responsibility for it by offering transparency and accountability. In this case, that can’t mean hiding behind P.R. and lawyer silence and waiting for this to just all blow away.

At minimum, these networks — CNN, MSNBC, and CBS — have to either identify who purposely fed them this blatantly false information or explain how it’s possible that “multiple sources” all got the same information wrong in innocence and good faith. Until they do that, their cries and protests the next time they’re attacked as “Fake News” should fall on deaf ears, since the real author of those attacks — the reason those attacks resonate — is themselves and their own conduct.

“Anonymous sources” are precisely how the media gets to plant a premise into any story by stating someone said something that can be introduced into a narrative. You’re expected to believe that the source is credible because the media outlet said so while we have no idea if that person even exists at all.

Sharing partisan hopes versus reality since the 2016 presidential election persists to this day, and in most cases, intentionally aimed at those most susceptible due to lack of life experience and ignorance.

At this point there is mounting evidence that the Russian government meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential elections, with methods including social media propagandaattempted hacks into state voting systems, and discussions about damaging information on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton with her opponent’s son Donald Trump Jr.

We’re just expected to take their word for it… again.

Anti-Trump San Juan Mayor Grandstanding for Disaster Relief

While government officials and civilian volunteers are doing all they can under horrendous conditions to help the people of Puerto Rico, at least one person (with the assistance of a complicit national media) is making it all about her at the expense of those she’s supposed to be serving.

A police officer on the ground managed to call New York City’s La Mega 97.9 FM to express her emotional frustration of the San Juan mayor’s grandstanding while seemingly blowing off her duties; a sentiment echoed by others.

San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz (“Popular Democratic Party”) has made the media rounds from CNN, MSNBC, and even the Washington Post to publicly bash the relief efforts of FEMA. Her comments that other mayors are experiencing similar frustrations are not in sync with reality.

“I don’t know why she is saying that”, said Angel Perez, Guaynabo Mayor. “She is not participating in any meetings. We had a couple already with the governors and with representation of FEMA and of HUD, these whole federal agencies that have given us help. We are receiving assistance from FEMA. I got people over here helping us with applications for the people that have damage in their houses.”

Mayor Perez echoed the sentiments of Richard Rossello, the governor of Puerto Rico, who praised President Trump for his rapid response to Puerto Rico’s aid requests.
Daily Caller, 9/30/17

In other words, you don’t bite the hand that’s trying to feed you.

There are reportedly hundreds of containers full of much-needed supplies sitting idle at San Juan’s port and no truck drivers to distribute their contents where needed.

That’s hardly something that can be blamed on President Trump as the federal government can’t be held responsible for a local disaster plan in absentia.

A sight eerily similar to that flooded parking lot filled with school buses in New Orleans that sat idle instead of being used to evacuate the hundreds that had to sit out Hurricane Katrina.

One would hope that federal, state, and local entities would have plans prepared for that rare Act of God. It would also be reasonable to assume that amidst the chaos of a disaster aftermath, petty political differences would be sidelined and all hands would work together for the good of all affected. Sadly, as recently as Hurricane Katrina, some in power exercise poor judgment in planning-for and reacting-to tragedy.

That, again, appears to be too much to ask of Democrats and a media all too willing to score political points at the expense of the misery of thousands of whom they consistently look down upon as “ordinary people”. San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz has shown she lacks the humility to manage her city as arrogance is not a leadership quality desired when her people need her most; people who will have power soon enough and will see how she conducted herself while they were in the dark.

George Soros, the Beverly Hills #Antifa Demands Payment

With all the “wage disparity” supposedly going on in the United States, you’d think a progressive leader could appreciate fair wages for an honest day’s work and compensate his independent contractors accordingly.

The Beverly Hills chapter of #Antifa appears to have a grievance with George Soros and made a public plea to get paid for services rendered for whatever he may have tasked them with doing….

For a media that’s consistently covered for liberals who’ve destroyed public and private property during their protests by calling them “mostly peaceful” or “counterprotesters”, the proof displayed here that George Soros is at least one of the money men behind the violent confrontations nationwide is something they will try to ignore.

That is, if #Antifa will let them.

What’s really sad is that for all the damage and injuries they’ve caused nationwide, it’s only worth $15 an hour.

WaPo, NY Times, CNN: Where Are the Leaks on Rice, Podesta Testimonies?

A couple of major news events occurred recently with almost no fanfare.  There were no “Breaking News” graphics announcing wall-to-wall coverage on the cable news channels, no “official” or “anonymous” sources leaked to the New York Times or Washington Post any of the intimate details.

It was like these events never happened.

“Ambassador Rice met voluntarily with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence today as part of the Committee’s bipartisan investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election,” Rice’s spokesperson Erin Pelton said in a statement. “Ambassador Rice appreciates the Committee’s efforts to examine Russia’s efforts to interfere, which violated one of the core foundations of American democracy. She was pleased to cooperate with the investigation given its extraordinary national significance.”
ABC News, 7/21/17

Okay, it was a closed-door meeting. There’s barely a photo out there of Rice before or after her testimony. No news vans parked in front of her home and no aerial shots of her car going from Point A to B. Here’s your genuine nothing burger.

Since when has that stopped anyone involved to cup their mouth and whisper to someone at a friendly news organization? You mean to tell us there were no “officials” or someone who spoke “under condition of anonymity”? What make THIS time different than any of the leaks that involved the President of the United States?

Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, on Tuesday appeared before the U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee, which has begun interviewing witnesses in its probe of how Russia may have influenced the 2016 election.

Committee members declined to comment on the discussion to reporters as they left the panel’s secure hearing room. Podesta stopped and commented briefly.
Reuters, 6/27/17

No pictures or video of Podesta entering a House building. No one bothered to comment (leak) about the proceedings and it appears the media wasn’t interested in asking questions.

What this proves, yet again, is that the media really does have an agenda.

When they can try to damage President Trump, they will giddily report the hearsay of people who won’t go “on the record”, which also means “sources” could either be lying in order to smear or the reporters could actually be making the quotes up. It’s not like so-called journalists have ever been caught fabricating.

It also means when there could be news damaging to a Democrat, the media is quite capable of reporting the bare minimum, the “officials” and/or “anonymous” sources are suddenly quiet, and their preferred go home undisturbed.

Funny how that happens….

Over-Democrat Sampled CNN #AntiTrump ‘Poll’ Backfires

Are all-star sports voting started with a certain boost given to certain athletes over others? No.

Nowhere in American society are Americans asked to participate in surveys or polls where a certain boost is given to one of the subjects over the other… that is, with the exception of political polls. The polling group, for routinely unexplained reasons, always asks more Democrats than Republicans and those results are not only made public, but become the basis for news stories and political narratives until the next poll comes out and this has been going on for many, many moons.

METHODOLOGY – This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by landline and cellular telephone Jan. 12-15, 2017, in English and Spanish, among a random national sample of 1,005 adults. Results have a margin of sampling error of 3.5 points, including the design effect. Partisan divisions are 31-23-37 percent, Democrats-Republicans-independents.
ABC News, Langer Research Associates

METHODOLOGY – A total of 1,000 adults were interviewed by telephone nationwide by live interviewers calling both landline and cell phones. Among the entire sample, 32% described themselves as Democrats, 24% described themselves as Republicans, and 44% described themselves as independents or members of another party.
CNN poll

The pollsters will insist they do so because there are more Democrats than Republicans even though that can be disputed with their own ever-fluctuating numbers.

With an even number of people questioned, how easy it to manipulate a poll? It can be as easy as calling more people within a well-known blue area code and not as many from a well-known red area code. We all know how certain “groups” are also routinely used by certain liberal Democrats.

METHODOLOGY – For some surveys, it is important to ensure that there are enough members of a certain subgroup in the population so that more reliable estimates can be reported for that group. To do this, we oversample members of the subgroup by selecting more people from this group than would typically be done if everyone in the sample had an equal chance of being selected. Because the margin of sampling error is related to the size of the sample, increasing the sample size for a particular subgroup through the use of oversampling allows for estimates to be made with a smaller margin of error. A survey that includes an oversample weights the results so that members in the oversampled group are weighted to their actual proportion in the population; this allows for the overall survey results to represent both the national population and the oversampled subgroup.
Pew Research

It’s all about inclusion, not accuracy.

After all the wall-to-wall inundation of “collusion” and “obstruction” and “Trump’s tax returns” and hourly cable news bum-rushes,  you’d think the American people would be ready to throw the president under the bus.

The nation has not abandoned President Donald Trump and CNN’s latest partisan attempt to indict him in the court of public opinion took an embarrassing turn….

Even with the traditional, dishonest oversampling of Democrats, CNN’s June 15th poll reveals the rational part of the nation isn’t buying the media’s reliance on anonymous sources and rumors to the New York Times and Washington Post to smear the president. The rational part of the nation has long since moved on from Hillary’s election loss-lame excuse that Russian interference had any significant effect on the presidential election outcome.

The rational part of the nation is blowing off the Democrats and their whiny media altogether.

Thanks to the increasingly unhinged behavior of the left, America is being fundamentally changed.

Just ask the Democrats and CNN.

Are WaPo ‘Sources’ and ‘Officials’ Real or Fake Trump Impeachment Fuel?

As said here on many instances, no reputable news editor (back in the day) would ever allow a story to be published that contained quotes from people who would not go on-the-record, in fact to even present such a piece would be tantamount to issuing a resignation letter. Again, this was to protect the credibility of that publication, both with the public and financially. That was then.

Now that the left is in full resist mode because President Trump is systematically dismantling all they’ve imposed on the American people for a decade-plus, impeachment is the only real way they can stop him. It’s just trying to find one of those “high crimes and misdemeanors” they can make stick.

President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State.

“This is code-word information,” said a U.S. official familiar with the matter, using terminology that refers to one of the highest classification levels used by American spy agencies. Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies.”
Washington Post, 5/15/17

The Post’s piece is peppered with attribution by “sources” or “officials”. In fact, the only names mentioned are ones that refute the premise all news outlets are gleefully repeating.

“The president and the foreign minister reviewed common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation,” said H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, who participated in the meeting. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed, and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly.”

McMaster reiterated his statement in a subsequent appearance at the White House on Monday and described the Washington Post story as “false,” but did not take any questions.

White House officials defended Trump. “This story is false,” said Dina Powell, deputy national security adviser for strategy. “The president only discussed the common threats that both countries faced.”

We don’t know who the current and former U.S. officials, officials, officials, senior White House officials, U.S. official, officials, White House officials, White House officials, officials, a former senior U.S. official, official, officials, officials, former senior U.S. counterterrorism official, He and others, senior U.S. official, former intelligence official, officials, U.S. official, officials, officials, one official, Senior White House officials, White House officials, officials, staff members, second former official, former U.S. official, and U.S. officials are, but we’re told they’re all telling the truth and have no axe to grind (that is if any of them exist at all) because the media says so.

We’re to take writers Julie Tate and Ellen Nakashima’s word for it because we all know the professional media has no partisan agenda.

Funny, the liberal media can always find a Republican who will go on the record, especially a Republican who’ll speak negatively of the president.

Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) said he would rather comment on the revelations in the Post story after “I know a little bit more about it,” but added: “Obviously, they are in a downward spiral right now and have got to figure out a way to come to grips with all that’s happening. And the shame of it is, there’s a really good national security team in place.”

Corker also said, “The chaos that is being created by the lack of discipline is creating an environment that I think makes — it creates a worrisome environment.”

Barack Obama went after those who leaked to the media, the compliant media avoided anonymous sources and the faucet dried up.

Over the past eight years, the administration has prosecuted nine cases involving whistle-blowers and leakers, compared with only three by all previous administrations combined. It has repeatedly used the Espionage Act, a relic of World War I-era red-baiting, not to prosecute spies but to go after government officials who talked to journalists.

Under Mr. Obama, the Justice Department and the F.B.I. have spied on reporters by monitoring their phone records, labeled one journalist an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal case for simply doing reporting and issued subpoenas to other reporters to try to force them to reveal their sources and testify in criminal cases.
New York Times, 12/30/16

We also know there’s a #deepstate of Democrat government lifers who are taking their #resist mission right into their workplaces, so some of these “sources” and “officials” actually exist. Democrats are becoming increasingly emboldened every time the media feeds them daily, new action lines with the word “Russia” and “impeach”.

The media gets all butt-hurt by the very thought of anyone who dares challenge their journalism….

But when you repeatedly justify violating the most basic of rules, it all goes downhill from there.

Racist NY Times Editorial Board Whines About Obama ‘Cashing In’

The New York Times Editorial Board has joined a long list of liberals who see a black man earning white man money and publicly inquiring if it’s really good optics for him to be doing so.

Is it a betrayal of that sentiment for the former president to have accepted a reported $400,000 to speak to a Wall Street firm? Perhaps not, but it is disheartening that a man whose historic candidacy was premised on a moral examination of politics now joins almost every modern president in cashing in. And it shows surprising tone deafness, more likely to be expected from the billionaires the Obamas have vacationed with these past months than from a president keenly attuned to the worries and resentments of the 99 percent.

Mr. Obama and his wife, Michelle, began their post-White House careers with twin book deals reported to be worth as much as $65 million. And why not? Mr. Obama is a pathbreaking figure and established writer whose two terms traversed a stormy period economically, militarily and diplomatically. But why not elevate a new generation of political leaders and stay true to his values by giving his speech fees to his foundation and other charities focused on those goals?

Political hypocrisy is nothing new. It’s just odd, now that money is involved, that the New York Times Editorial Board has discovered morality and values after giving others a pass over and over again, and they’re not alone.

WaPo: Sanders and Warren are criticizing Obama’s $400,000 Wall Street speech. Here’s why it’s a bad idea.

Senator Elizabeth Warren continues to get a pass on using her scant drops of Cherokee blood to monetarily benefit from minority status and Senator Bernie Sanders got hardly any liberal media attention after somehow acquiring a third home right after bowing out to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Democrat primary.

The liberal sports media is particularly guilty of the expectation that multi-millionaire black athletes give some of their salary back to the poor in their predominantly Democrat districts. But no one ever seems to make such demands of white liberals who cash in on their public service.

Despite the many ways Al Gore has cashed in on the carbon credit-climate change scam, he’s now calling for billions more to go into another one of his climate “ventures”, and no one has ever suggested he give some of his millions back or complained how much he commands for his speaking engagements.

Before he became the senior vice president for Worldwide Corporate Affairs at Amazon, no one ever asked former White House spokesman Jay Carney if his $100,000 speaking fees were too high.

Turbo-Tax Tim Geithner made millions, according to USA Today, “disclosed that Geithner has gotten a line of credit from JPMorgan Chase, the nation’s biggest bank, to invest in a new $12 billion fund at the private equity firm where he works, Warburg Pincus.” To date, no one has asked him if cashing in on his position as Treasury Secretary was appropriate.

Of course, Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton made over $240 million over the last 16 or so years, hundreds of thousands-a-pop for speaking engagements, and the liberal media played whack-a-mole suppressing from public view any improprieties that may embarrass the perpetually-protected legacy.

It’s mostly in the liberal world where most blacks make millions and in return, black athletes, movie stars, and musicians are expected to give a portion of that money away.

For years, Barack Obama received special treatment from the left. Now that he’s of no formal influence (in other words, they can no longer use his race as the ultimate Democrat political shield), it looks like he’s seeing the true colors of those who smiled to his face and say other things behind his back.
