Thanks to the government shutdown, we’re seeing story after #ShutdownStories about poor federal government employees who are going to have trouble paying their mortgages, put food on their tables, meet their car payments, etc. The sympathy has extended to businesses offering free goods and services to ease the pain these public servants are now enduring because President Trump wants a wall to protect Americans from illegal aliens and Democrats do not.
The news media is overlooking her obvious lack of basic civic knowledge regarding the branches of government and how things work on Capitol Hill because with her every social media post, video upload, office protest, defiance of authority, she remains good content.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Three Branches Of Government Tweet Wasn’t The Only One That Triggered An Avalanche Of Stupid
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Announces She’s Waiting for Red Dead Redemption 2 to Go On Sale to Thunderous Applause
In her arrogance of youth, she’s not making the best first impression amongst her new peers.
In the grand scheme of things, she’s insignificant and thus disposable. Like most her age, she’s also ignorant of one of the media’s themes over many, many years:
“We build them up only to tear them down.”
We remember many who’ve been icons with documentable achievements that have left an indelible mark on American society. For example, Michael Jackson created productions that were events people eagerly waited years in between projects for. The hype was immense and the final product worth the wait. People like Jackson were considered entertainment deity and the media promoted the greatness of their works… until there was an opening and thus an opportunity to wall-to-wall exploit a looming demise.
Contrast that to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who aside from defeating an incumbent who believed he just needed to show up and win, she really hasn’t accomplished anything of value in her short life. Yes, she won an election; like this is a feat that changed the world. She’s basically a parody of Valley Girl-turned-United States congresswoman and there’s a very good chance a similar treatment is gathering dust on a producer’s shelf somewhere in Hollywood.
She’s just one House member out of 435 who will be also seeking their share of political and media relevance.
While she’s currently being publicly defiant to the President of the United States and even the Democrat leadership, reality will hit her square in the face. If not by a President Trump who won’t even acknowledge her insignificance, but a wannabe Speaker Pelosi who’s systematically making all those rookies who ran on unseating her, shut their mouths and get with the program that’s been in place before Ocasio-Cortez was born.
Ocasio-Cortez will be squashed by her own party leadership as she probably got that behind-the-scenes talking-to that gets minds right real quick.
They got that how-easy-things-can-be-or-how-difficult-things-quickly-would-become reality check although there are still some holdouts.
There’s no reason for anyone on Capitol Hill to capitulate to Ocasio-Cortez’ very public and juvenile demands. Comeuppance beatdowns are storylines the media loves, even when it’s today’s “it”. While Democrats play up public entitlements, Capitol Hill doesn’t recognize them in leadership until you’ve done your time (which can take decades) towing the line.
There are rules and some of them have been around since the formal formation of the Congress. Ocasio-Cortez will try and decide which rules she will abide by and which she will demand she be an exception. The real world doesn’t work that way, Congress doesn’t work that way, and the media will be documenting the drama as it unfolds because unlike Hollywood, no one in the biz stands to lose if an irrelevant upstart is kicked to the curb. It doesn’t take much for what was once media awe and admiration to take that ugly turn to the voyeurism of personal destruction.
We shall soon see just what the media REALLY thought of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the first place, once she opens her mouth and it really counts.
She thought it would fortify her leadership status. She thought it would make her THE face and voice of #TheResistance. She thought she would be in front of the push to impeach President Trump. She thought it would make her a universal liberal media darling from now until the November midterms.
California Representative Maxine Waters was very wrong.
According to the left’s media punditry and elected officials, Waters now has that stink on her.
In the crucial months ahead, we must strive to make America beautiful again. Trump’s daily lack of civility has provoked responses that are predictable but unacceptable. As we go forward, we must conduct elections in a way that achieves unity from sea to shining sea.
— @NancyPelosi Tweet, 6/25/18
Because liberal Democrats very seldom apologize or admit the errors of their ways, they appear to be very worried that the words of Maxine Waters may mobilize President Trump’s base; a base very important in keeping the House in Republican control. The left is very hopeful of that “blue wave” and Waters may have reduced it to a ripple while motivating Republicans they hoped were lethargic.
Auntie Maxine is doubling down on her rhetoric, Democrats are selectively citing Michelle “when they go low, we go high” Obama to try and keep their violent loonies in check, the left is banning more on the right from their restaurants, and the party will hope this all goes away as soon as possible.
That is until Maxine opens her mouth again which is a certainty.
Let’s be fair. We’ve heard a lot of “anonymous sources” from well-placed “officials” who’ve said many things about President Trump and others in his administration that can never be challenged because the so-called professional media has chosen to violate the very basics of journalism and repeat the words of someone who cowardly won’t go on the record.
I haven’t been in a Safeway since my family moved home from Dubai in 1990.
While that may be true, it’s clear he doesn’t avoid other supermarkets. Timing is everything.
The congressman did not want to be seen with me on Capitol Hill. He needed to get some stuff anyway and decided he’d let me walk with him through the cereal and dairy selections at the Safeway near my hotel. He is not happy with President Trump. He was never a die hard Trump supporter. He supported him in the general and never expected him to win. But he did. So the congressman, whose district Trump won, has been a regular supporter on Fox News and elsewhere defending the President. He is happy to be quoted, so long as I don’t name him. He says he just needs to vent. I suggest what we’re doing is one of the reason’s Trump won — a congressman says nice things in public and bad things in private.
“Everybody does this shit,” he says. It’s his turn. We have known each other for years and have been promising to connect this week while I’m passing through DC. So this is it. I’m passing along his comments, not endorsing them.
— Erick Erickson, 4/11/18
That, if that person actually exists.
#NeverTrump blogger Erick Erickson has found it within himself to relay the words of an anonymous Republican in a conversation he claims to have had at a Safeway supermarket somewhere in the Washington, D.C. perimeter. We admire his memory skills in being able to document the rant of this congressman word-for-word. Obviously, it would’ve had to be by memory because it’s hard to believe an irate congressman would allow himself to be documented via a smartphone or other recording device while demanding to remain anonymous… again, IF the dairy aisle meeting really occurred.
I read you writing about this, about wanting to say nice things when you can and criticize when you need to. He may be an idiot, but he’s still the President and leader of my party and he is capable of doing some things right.
But dammit he’s taking us all down with him. We are well and truly f**ked in November. Kevin [McCarthy] is already circling like a green fly circling sh*t trying to take Paul’s [Ryan] job because nobody thinks he’s sticking around for Nancy [Pelosi]. She’s going to f**k up the cafeteria again too. [Lord’s name in vain], at least I’ll probably lose too and won’t have to put up with that sh*t.
It’s like Forrest Gump won the presidency, but an evil, really f*cking stupid Forrest Gump. He can’t help himself. He’s just a f**king idiot who thinks he’s winning when people are b*tching about him. He really does see the world as ratings and attention. I hate Forrest Gump. I listen to your podcast and heard you hate it too. What an overrated piece of sh*t movie. Can you believe it beat the Shawshank Redemption?
To make this encounter appear authentic, Erickson interjected some of his on-call wisdom.
Judiciary is stacked with a bunch of people who can win re-election so long as they don’t piss off Trump voters in the primary. But if we get to summer and most of the primaries are over, they just might pull the trigger if the President fires Mueller. The sh*t will hit the fan if that happens and I’d vote to impeach him myself. Most of us would, I think. Hell, all the Democrats would and you only need a majority in the House. If we’re going to lose because of him, we might as well impeach the motherf**ker. Take him out with us and let Mike [Pence] take over. At least then we could sleep well at night. You know having Mike as President would really piss off all the right people, too. They think they hate Trump. Mike is competent.
I say a lot of shit on TV defending him, even over this. But honestly, I wish the motherf*cker would just go away. We’re going to lose the House, lose the Senate, and lose a bunch of states because of him. All his supporters will blame us for what we have or have not done, but he hasn’t led. He wakes up in the morning, sh*ts all over Twitter, sh*ts all over us, sh*ts all over his staff, then hits golf balls. F*ck him. Of course, I can’t say that in public or I’d get run out of town.
— Erick Erickson “quoting” unnamed Republican Congressman
If Erick Erickson was any kind of blogger/writer of integrity, he would have never agreed to keep such comments off the record.
If Erick Erickson was any kind of Republican, he would never have allowed such a tirade to continue without proper rebuttal, but seeing how Erickson is a #NeverTrumper, IF that conversation occurred, he was probably nodding in agreement while trying to pay attention as he was surrounded by hundreds of readily-edibles.
Our guess is that this is #FakeNews by another so-called conservative irrelevant begging for attention, and in the liberal Democrat tradition, by any means necessary.
For decades, the Democrat left has relished in any opportunity to use the race card against the Republican right. White Democrats, in particular, have been very adept in planting a racial landmine and stepping back to watch in glee as cued blacks would take it to their opponents.
But today we have a problem.
Many white liberal men have been busted committing all manner of sexual abuse and assaults from Hollywood to New York City to Capitol Hill. Unbeknownst to many on the left, racism within the very hallways of the entertainment industry has been dismissed and it’s very apparent to many blacks that this whole Harvey Weinstein snowball has only become the movement it has become because the victims are 99 44⁄100% liberal white women.
So you now see the quandary white liberals have when a black congressman and white senator have been accused of sexual abuse. Liberal blacks and whites are not going to see things eye-to-eye.
This will be a very juicy eat-their-own opportunity because black people are not going to give liberals a pass on this one.
John Conyers’ name was the ONLY House member named regarding the taxpayer-funded hush fund and is publicly being told to resign. The white guy Al Franken is hiding behind his desk, apologizes every time a new name surfaces and has yet to be told by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the National Organization for Women, Emily’s List or any other liberal women’s entity to vacate his Senate seat. This kinda’ smacks of blatant racism, at least as consistently defined by Democrats.
Politically, the Democrats are relatively unaffected by the loss of one congressman. Losing a senator is another story but don’t try explaining that to hypersensitive blacks. The abuse-of-white-women-is-more-important-than-racism will be a tough sell in the Community.
Race politics is a bitch, ain’t it?
BTW — The white man who sexually assaulted Terry Crews is getting off… so to speak.
Crews alleged that talent agent Adam Venit groped his genitals at a Hollywood party. Crews acknowledges the obvious question: Why wouldn’t a man of his muscle just wallop any predator? The actor wanted to fight him, to strike back, he has said, but feared that the situation would be misperceived since he is a large black man. He didn’t want to end up in jail or lose his career.
But he still feels like he’s not being taken seriously. Venit has not commented on the accusation. But Venit’s employer, the William Morris Endeavor, suspended the alleged groper for 30 days — only to recently welcome him back to the workplace after deciding the alleged transgression against Crews was an isolated incident, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
As alluded to earlier in this post and written about before, racism in Hollywood runs rampant and conveniently dismissed.
But mess with liberal white women and all hell will break loose.
Today is President Trump’s birthday. Any coincidence to screw up this day?
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana was shot Wednesday at a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, officials said. His wounds were not believed to be life-threatening. Alexandria police said a suspect in the shooting was in custody.
CBS News has learned that Scalise was shot in the hip. At least three others were also shot, including the gunman and two Capitol Police officers. President Trump said on Twitter that Scalise “was badly injured but will fully recover.”
— CBS News, 6/14/17
The media is going on and on about how prayers should be issued for the Congressmen, their staffers, the security detail, how unfortunate the political discourse is and how sad a day in America this is.
The man was wearing running clothes, asked Duncan: “Are those Republicans or Democrats out there practicing?” Per source familiar.
— CNN Tweet, 6/14/17
This morning’s shooting was predictable, it’s all on the #resistance climate elected Democrats created and I wouldn’t be surprised just how many liberal activists are happy this happened, laments that the shooter was a bad shot, and are hoping for greater accuracy in the future.
Approximately a year ago, the Democrats rigged their primary election so Bernie Sanders would be pushed aside in favor of Hillary Clinton. That made many Democrats very angry, and as has become the pattern going back to their violent infiltration of Trump rallies up to the incident in Portland, this morning’s shooter is a Bernie supporter.
Washington Post Shooter identified by law enforcement officials as James T. Hodgkinson
Heavy Hodgkinson Is a Supporter of Bernie Sanders & Democratic Socialism Who Wrote on Facebook, ‘Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.’
Not this time….
Last November, after months of being assured by a constant partisan news/entertainment collective onslaught that Hillary would win the presidency, why she didn’t really lose, all the excuses why she did, all that “Russian collusion”, killing people by not saving the intentionally-flawed Obamacare, the now-antiquated Electoral College, Donald Trump’s tax returns, and all that made many Democrats very angry.
One of my favorite TV shows is “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC.
— Hodgkinson letter, 7/29/12
In a very secretive meeting, George Soros rounded up high-ranking Democrats and met in a D.C. hotel for a conference on how to #Resist President Trump and his agenda; an agenda millions of Americans voted for which made many Democrats very angry.
George Soros and other rich liberals who spent tens of millions of dollars trying to elect Hillary Clinton are gathering in Washington for a three-day, closed door meeting to retool the big-money left to fight back against Donald Trump.
The conference, which kicked off Sunday night at Washington’s pricey Mandarin Oriental hotel, is sponsored by the influential Democracy Alliance donor club, and will include appearances by leaders of most leading unions and liberal groups, as well as darlings of the left such as House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chairman Keith Ellison, according to an agenda and other documents obtained by POLITICO.
— Politico, 11/14/17
Entrenched federal employees went underground and actively planned to #resist the president’s (thus the American people’s) agenda, formed a nationwide network called #Indivisible which succeeded in turning out thousands of Democrats to go to Republican House and Senate members’ town hall meetings and disrupt them because they didn’t like Republican proposals that made many Democrats very angry. Yes, the Tea Party did the same thing but there was no expectation of possible violence like there is today whenever the left gathers en masse.
As former but prominent “leaders” of the party, neither Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, nor Bernie Sanders told their black-masked mobs committing acts of vandalism, stopping traffic, and violently attacking Trump supporters in the streets to stop. The Democrats lost the presidential election and every special election since and that made many Democrats very angry.
President Obama is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country. In his final official speech as President, he spoke about the important role of citizen and how all Americans have a responsibility to be the guardians of our democracy — not just during an election but every day.
Citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble, organize and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake.
With regard to comparisons to President Obama’s foreign policy decisions, as we’ve heard before, the President fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion.
— Former president Barack Obama, statement, 1/20/17
When Barack Obama won his presidential elections, the left took to the streets in a Third World-like frenzy. No Republicans got in their face in street opposition to rain on their parade. Democrats had their victory, the media echoed their joy, and they were allowed to enjoy their day if not openly gloat.
Republicans were not allowed to enjoy their election victory.
From the moment Donald Trump was declared President of the United States, there has been nothing but a constant onslaught of Democrat and their media’s talking points about “Russian collusion”, “obstruction of justice”, “impeachment”, and anything they can say or do to delegitimize the Republican victory and we wonder why it’s come to a shooting aimed directly at Republicans and these same Democrats and their media are now telling us all to take a step back and check the partisan air?
A couple of days ago, I told Laura that I saw this getting violent. I predicted that there could be a violent clash between Democrats and Republicans because the left believes they can do anything they want to reach that “by any means necessary” goal: impeach and replace Donald Trump with a Democrat, then go after Vice President Pence and so damage the Republican brand that even Hillary could win in 2020.
Until then, ramp it up.
Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe was one of the first to officially politicize the shooting, saying “93 million” people are killed in the United States every year by guns. This is the same Terry McAuliffe who still shamelessly and falsely declares, to this day, Virginia the “first state to functionally end veteran homelessness”.
Like cowardly college professors who propagandize their captive students and incite them to take to the streets (while they stay safely behind in their campus-provided housing), Democrat politicians on Capitol Hill have been actively inciting their base to do anything to destroy the duly-elected President Trump, his family, his cabinet, and his support base.
Today’s shooting is a natural progression of all they’ve done since November 9, 2016 and no one with any credibility should let the Democrats off the hook. When they repeatedly told us “elections have consequences” after they won, we now know exactly what that means when they lose.
THIS is a prime example of what’s wrong with the online, so-called news media.
This morning, Laura caught a Tweet from the Drudge Report.
She did her same old tired schtick (more on that later), but the highlight of the night was when Jake Lee, a small business owner from West Hollywood, Calif., stood up to ask a question.
“Good evening, madam leader. Before the election on November 8, your side of the aisle were asking for the former head of the FBI to resign,” said questioner Jake Lee. “Now that he has been let go, why the sudden and selective outrage from your side of the aisle?”
Pelosi is immediately befuddled. “Some people were asking to be let go,” she said inexplicably (presumably she meant asking that former FBI Director James Comey be let go). But she went on, her hands flailing about wildly and her eyes growing wide as saucers.
— Daily Wire, 5/16/17
As we were curious, we went and took a look at the segment in question and Curl’s description didn’t quite match his sensational headline and commentary.
After viewing, we didn’t see the “completely destroyed” as the Daily Wire suggested, nor Pelosi with “hands flailing about wildly and her eyes growing wide as saucers”. Liberals, in particular, like to “talk with their hands” but the “destruction” didn’t match the visual. Not to be taken as defending Pelosi, but all-about-me #NeverTrumper and Daily Wire “Editor-in-Chief” Shapiro has limited credibility and in the grand scheme of things, his website is another part of the overall problem of the many conservative Drudge asskissers.
Let’s be real, people.
Many of these so-called news sites, on both sides, will say anything for the almighty click. They vigorously seek out stories online, re-write them as to give the impression they broke the story and are unfortunately rewarded with thousands of views and shares. They’ll embellish headlines just to get you to click onto their pop-up ad-heavy, browser-crashing sites and journalistic integrity is an afterthought.
We all know Van Jones was going to take flak after he said that Donald Trump officially became President of the United States after his primetime Address. It was clear that many on the Democrat left, not to mention most of the elected in attendance, heard a Donald Trump speech for the very first time (unfettered by selectively-edited soundbites that fit a desire, negative narrative) and they finally saw why he won the presidential election and Hillary Clinton lost.
CNN: Van Jones on Trump: ‘He became President of the United States in that moment, period’
Fox News: Wallace: ‘Tonight Donald Trump Became the President of the United States’
WaPo: President Trump’s surprisingly presidential speech to the nation, annotated

But what was even more amazing was just how fractured the Democrat responses were. Of all the so-called up-and-coming stars in their party that could have issued the formal response, they chose an old Democrat that lost his last election.
We know Rush Limbaugh’s opening monologue is on this very observation as well as the Democrat women in white, and if we had a nationally-syndicated radio program on the air last night, we would have said as much.
— BlackandBlondeMedia (@BlackandBlondeM) March 1, 2017
— BlackandBlondeMedia (@BlackandBlondeM) March 1, 2017
But again, the Democrat Party’s collective response to the speech was a joke.
Their party is now being run by a couple of rank amateurs, the party leadership is afraid to publicly take on President Trump, and their civilian messengers have nothing to say millions of Americans want to hear.
The Democrats, as of March 1st, 2017, are fucked and they know it.
What are they going to do about it? Good question.
The media, in tandem, recited the narrative that the so-called Trump Administration #MuslimBan resulted in “chaos” in it’s implementation. In response, the Democrat “leadership” held a candlelight vigil in support of refugees around the world who believe entry into the United States is a right, not a privilege.
One problem, the vigil fell apart from the start thus the optics were one of sheer incompetence.
As a public service to the Democrats, here is the second verse of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” many appeared to not know….
As I went walking that ribbon of highway
I saw above me that endless skyway
Saw below me the golden valley
This land was made for you and me
The left has hammered President Trump on his bull-in-the-china-shop upheaval and destruction of everything Democrats have imposed on the American people for the last ten years-plus.
Surely, turning on a simple sound system and keeping track of scheduled speakers would be something Democrats could pull off without a hitch. Then again, maybe this was a clear metaphor of their political grandstanding mixed with the incompetence of their policies.
The Democrats are uniformly doing all they can to save the “Affordable Care Act”, better known as ObamaCare.
The following should jar memories on where we’ve been led; a place Democrats don’t want the American people to go.
Democrats are playing mostly to the uninformed or those too young to know what life in the United States was like before ObamaCare was inflicted on the American people.
How many Americans are truly uninsured? The number the Obama administration and Democrats have used for more than a year now ranges between 40 million and 46 million—at the upper end, that would be somewhere between 1 in 6 and 1 in 7 Americans.
— US News & World Report, 8/20/09
Why, instead of tailoring a bill to help that 40-46 million, did the whole health care system in the United States have to be changed to forcibly affect all? People who were perfectly happy with their coverage were forced to buy plans at a higher price, not to mention be facing unrealistic deductibles. Being able to purchase plans across state lines at more competitive prices was never considered in the Democrats’ ACA.
During the 2008 Democrat presidential primary, candidate Hillary Clinton pointed out that forcing parents to pick up the tab on their older children’s health care was an unreasonable burden. Parents paying for their children’s health care up to age 26 became a primary selling point. Too bad parents were never asked if this is something THEY even wanted to absorb.
Also during that debate, candidate Barack Obama also said it was unfair to “mandate” people buy government health care and it was even more unfair to fine them if they couldn’t afford it. Passage of the ACA meant people were mandated to buy health care if they wanted it or not and would be fined if they did not comply.
I will sign a universal health care bill into law by the end of my first term as president that will cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family’s premium by up to $2,500 a year.
— Senator Barack Obama, 2007
Deductibles rose to the point that people couldn’t afford to use the health care they were forced to buy.
Prior to passage of the ACA, employees enjoyed a 40-hour work week. After, some business employers reduced the hours their employees down to 29 so they didn’t have to pick up the tab for their employees at the inflated government cost. Businesses that had more than 50 employees were required to pay for their employees’ health care and that forced many employers to not expand their companies as some may have wanted.
Many Americans now have to work two or more jobs to make the equivalent of what they earned before passage of the ACA.
The elected in the House, Senate, Supreme Court, their staff and families exempted themselves from the very law they imposed on the rest of us.
And since passage up to now, Democrats are complaining that Republicans don’t have fixes for a law they rammed down the throats of the American people and are now poised to dismantle their flawed experiment; an experiment millions will celebrate once ended.
One of the many reasons Donald Trump was elected President was his promise to end the Democrat nightmare that was and still is the “Affordable Care Act”.
The People will soon see how much money they’ll be saving and just who made their lives miserable since 2010.
